Best performance I've seen from Man Utd this season was our 3-0 win over Crystal Palace in the cup.
We were dominant, fluid and retained possession.
Bruno and Rashford didn't play.

His first 18 months at Man Utd were outstanding and he still plays great for Portugal.
He's a risk taker and his risks were paying off, now they're not. Man Utd need stability, discipline, structure and leadership. He provides none of those things and as a captain he should be showing these attributes more than anyone.
His "passion" often comes across as petulance and the extra running he does on the pitch is because he's always caught out of position or wasting his energy charging down the keeper, ruining the shape of our midfield and leaving huge gaps that other players have to try to cover which further drags our whole team out of position.
Maybe ETH has given him free reign to go wherever he wants and asks him to press like that; but I'm also ETH out so I'd be willing to see how Bruno plays under another manager.

Big difference between bruno and likes of KDB, Silva, Foden etc is they can hold the ball, dribble, probe, if theres nothing on pass and move. If theres something on, killer ball to Haaland. Bruno tries hero balls EVERY single time. Cannot dribble and hold the ball.

Is Bruno better than KDB or Odegaard. If the answer is No, then we need to upgrade….that's the only comparison I care about. Bruno's potential is baked in so what you see now is all you're going to ever get. Plus, if you want Man Utd. to compete for titles then you need players that can compete with the boys at the top of the league. It's that simple!

The best I have seen united play in terms of style of play and possession based football was when bruno and rashford were rested for the Palace game in the league Cup.
This is brought up all the time, they played their B team that game and you can’t say that if Bruno did play we would have been worse either as we have played well with Bruno in the side as well

It’s the same thing that happened with Maguire. When Maguire first came in, he was our best defender. I remember there was a period of time he was out towards the end of a season and United fell apart. Same thing is happening with Bruno. He’s not overhyped bc he’s put crazy numbers in previous seasons but I do agree that he’s not good at retaining the ball and do need someone new in his position but Bruno has been an important player in our squad.

Fantastic point by Fals first submission. Why can't our manager rotate a player who isn't performing and the only excuse we make for that is 'there's no good replacement on the bench" smh. I don't care who you're if you're not performing I'm sorry you've got to go to the bench but it's not same with United. Probably the reason why some players has so much power in the dressing room cuz they know they'll never be subbed off. It's very sad.

De Bruyne brings other things, including tactical nous, positional discipline, intelligence, emotional stability, fortitude, that makes that straight comparison in passing percentage you've made moot.
De Bruyne Rates Bruno massively he said as much in an interview early last year.
Misleading as man city have an entire team that keeps the ball well so they can afford to have de bruyne and haaland give the ball away often united simply can't afford bruno giving the ball away as they don't have many players who keep the ball well

I'm not hating on Bruno. This topic is irrelevant.
What is relevant is the depth and quality of the whole squad, compared to other clubs is shockingly poor.
Players should be rotated and rested, but you've got Bruno playing 90+mins every game even if he is carrying a knock because united have limited cover, that's not right. Not even in Ferguson days would that happen, because united had cover.
Currently I would bet that this squad would struggle to be promoted from the Championship.
The Euro's will not help united in regards to next season either.
When first game top player now he just looks knackered before kicking a ball. Give him a month off then when he comes back judge him

Beth you don't know what you're talking about. You haven't got a clue about football. Bruno is not a world-class midfielder, this so called "passion" running around like a madman. No discipline, he tends to react instead of being proactive. And he does GIVE the ball away plot.
I love Bruno but he's been terrible this season. However, people with an agenda will constantly hate on him for stuff that's not entirely his fault. They've got confirmation bias, so whenever he makes a bad pass, they make a notch; but whenever he makes a good pass or does create a big chance, it's just standard stuff that he should be doing. Bruno can't beat his critics because they're unreasonable. Beth and Mordz are terrible at arguing.

It rrally isnt that complex, the dude has had a really bad run in form for which he should be benched, this doesn't mean he needs to be sold necessarily, he doesn't have a pattern of putting in bad performances after good form repeatedly, which some other players do have and definitely need to be sold due to that. Theres a clear difference in ideology between the youth players trying to break into the first team and the first team itself, why quality is compromised in the main squad is absolutely beyond anyone imo. But in brunos individual case, he himself knows that he's not getting any younger and if he keeps losing the ball away like that, one way or the other he'll be forgotten as a United hero. I think hes hated the exact amount he deserves largely although obviously their are exceptions. He isnt overrated

I do think people need to be more appreciative for the fact Bruno keeps playing for us week in week out and through injury. He’s played more games than any other player in Europe in a top league, that’s bound to take its toll on your performances. Same thing happened to Frank Lampard he played more games than anybody over one season. The next season he wasn’t as good. Bruno did this when he first came, and he’s still not had a proper break. Yes he needs to perform better but thats not gonna happen if he doesn’t get the recovery time. I honestly think the guy might have two more seasons at top level if he doesn’t rest.

Bruno is massively overrated he is great in a counter attack team but he is not a good enough footballer to play possession based football at this level you need to have the creative output and be able to look after the ball. He is a poor footballer that is just effective at pinging balls over a high defense for people to run onto. Once his goals and assists dry up which they have you are just left with a sub par player.
If everyone take moment to just concentrate when Bruno has the ball he loses the ball 95 percent of the time he can't hold the ball he doesn't suit Eric's game one has to go I would rather they both go both been overhyped
The issue with Bruno is that he generally does as much good as he does bad in any given match, yes he is one of our better creative players if not our best but he is also one of our most infuriatingly careless players in position. So depending on how you look at it it’s as easy to love him as it is to hate him.

I’d argue he’s both. People hate on him so much yet he’s probably the only player on our team that could get into a better club with the exception of young talent. But he’s also been terrible this year and I’d say a portion of that has to do with no rest due to how thin and poor the overall squad is
