Have you read the Mother Horse Eyes stories? It is a grotesque literal take on the devouring mother, that was distributed through the internet, reddit specifically.
This idea of the devouring mother reminds me of Ungoliant from Tolkien’s mythology. The giant female spider with a bottomless hunger, challenging even the strongest gods of Valinor. In christian mythology it is Sin giving birth to Death.
I came from Uberboyo's channel and I loved your guys' conversation.. Once my channel gets big enough, would love to do a discussion with you linking memes, mysticism, AI, Jung, and other things. Keep killing it my friend
I found your view of the web and its spider interesting, but I do have another angle on it. I don’t see it as only a spider web but as a tool that is more similar to us. For we as being birth incomplete from the womb we are molded in to quimeras and the web as mirrors that as well, being an intermingle of intermingled, be theme the web of a spider, barbed wire, roads, the net of a fisherman, the lines of a cloth or the connections of your neurons that are ever changing to the needs of its surroundings and united into one. It is as you said about the anima a manifestation of the unity of strings, but depending on the spot that you look at or if you look at all of it you’ll see that it reflects about that micro or macro cosmos.
Ok, question. I noticed a seeming distinction between the archetype of the spider and the web. The spider is a devouring, predatory force but the web itself is a tool, unbound to the spider. The mother does not strangle her prey alone, but casts the net upon them. Connectivity facilitates predation, but the two are non-synonymous. By this logic, is it possible hypothetically to liberate the web from its matriarch and, as a web with no spider becomes a path for the once-prey, transform the World Wide Web into the “information superhighway” that it was always intended to be?
The Web exists only by the mechanics of addiction, there can be no web without the Spider keeping it alive, it's up to the single user to not get caught. Think of every major website active now, from Facebook to Google, to Tik Tok, they all work by the same mechanic, get your attention and keep you in their specific web as much as they can, feeding you ads and gaining money and presence, power. A change of this dynamic would require first a change in the society we live in, a society that sees economic power as wealth and prosperity, instead of more advanced goals that reflect a more realistic perception of life and mortality. To eliminate the spider you must leave the web, for something less sticky and paralyzing, you gotta Surf through the web into the scary open seas of knowledge and chaos
Maybe. Or maybe it's always the lair of the beast. If you're very disciplined and self-controlled, you can venture in the lair, gather the gold, and get out without being consumed. But for many (or most) who venture down into it, they aren't prepared to make it out "alive". The beast inside lures them with all sorts of temptations, which they aren't able to resist. Think 'Sirens' from Odysseus' journey.
Funnily, I recently finished a game called Raging Loop which touched on the Jungian idea of the spider as Great Mother, and the immediate reaction being the archetype seems more fitting of an evil temptress. Further, the spider is very rarely regarded with reverence. Even the snake which scares us on a primal level is regarded as wise. And this game originally came out about 5 years ago. Maybe this meme had been lingering on the periphery of consciousness for some time.
Arachne was a victim. Anansi was a trickster. Charlotte was wise beyond her years. And Spider-Man is the hero with no happy ending. The animals themselves give us the heebie-jeebies more often than not. But there's no telling where the spider, as a character, will end up. I like how they trap and filter the negative; we're allies against flies and mosquitoes. They do their thing, I'll do mine.
Not sure if you take requests on future video topics but an investigation into the Morpheus meme "What if I told you..." would be fantastic. Plenty of avenues to venture down, including the Mandela effect correlation.
This almost makes me feel like this Devouring Mother archetype exists in both actual, Devouring Mother archetypical women & what I'd call the "Erasing Father" archetypical man, who even though they're at odds with each other on personal & very obvious political levels, combine to create a society together which uses everyone's Anima while repressing them, creating Devouring Mother type environments that are the greatest reflection of that Archetype that could ever exist because at the end of the day, you have to fear the society & or country you were born into because, well - the Spider doesn't care about the Web, it cares about using that Web to eat - and young people know that the older people around them have been lost to that & so can't trust their parental figures, peers or even themselves because it takes so long to see the alternatives.

How would someone understand the difference between courage and arrogance? Because they are the same if you’re just starting out. It takes courage to tell your manager at work they’re doing something immoral at the same time it can be seen as incredibly arrogant that you can live with not having a job from a small complaint you could have just kept quiet about.
This is a damn good question. I suspect that it's always a back and forth between the two. You have courage enough to get yourself going, but then you will inevitably make mistakes that reality will need to check you on. As long as you can humbly admit your mistakes, you will continue to grow, and with each iteration of this, you become more and more keen.
also why are men so afraid of women we are just poeple like i dont understand how they create a giant female cyber-concious that wants to eat their jizzz I mean like just don't dude women just be like, go to work, drink wine buy sweater like what is happening to the mensssss

Jung swore throughout his life to adaptation (Anpassung) and, without exception, traced all abnormalities back to incomplete adaptation. It wasn’t until very late, around his eighties, that he realized, things didn’t match. Social reality is interwoven with corrupt and fantastic elements, and in terms of its reality, completely unreliable. Adaptation is naive, low-key and comical. Beyond a certain limit, if one recognizes the corruption of a conventional system of lies, and yet adapts, it is a person’s crime against himself. Moral impurity, that undermines the seriousness of human life. Jung turned to the opposite side. The cause of mental disorder is not deficient, but excessive adaptation. Tis is the reason for the mass psychological abnormality that occurs in this age. Refusal to adaptation leads to rebellion, and confrontation with the community, resulting in insanity. Adaptation, on the other hand, leads to opportunism, which results in corruption. The other mental illness.
@@Alex-hu5eg Thanks for the answer, I agree. Normality is what most people strive towards, to adapt to feel comfort and acceptance. But it denies the part of us that knows that what appears as normal is not truthful/good/great, it's neautral.
@@jakobalgeblad6732 it should've been. Solitude is necessary but it turns man into evil. The individual must find the love of community on the long run, or he's doomed.
Man, I cannot even describe what's the topic you are talking about. I'm interested in Daoism, Buddhism and Christianity, but I never take seriously the unconscious part of it. Despite this, you make me interested in it. Which books do you recommend to find out more?
In the way that this "mother" builds to eat, Christ builds to feed. I don't think Christ is more complex than God. I think we can just take hold of His qualities more easily. That is why He is called Emmanuel, literally "God with us". Being Human, and not God, we need God in the flesh, given for us so that we may live to Him and through Him.
I've been thinking lately about the internet, the demiurge is an interesting idea though i dont believe it to be a literal entity. I think the internet is more like a fairy circle again not literal fairies. In a fairy circle you dance with the fairies for what seems like minutes but is actually hours or days sometimes even years. The internet especially video games feel like that. But I suppose its the same idea as the demiurge in that it is a trap. Though a fairy circle is typically in folklore not a trap though it can be sometimes by evil fairies. Fairies just experience time differently than we do and think they are giving us a gift of an experience but really they are wasting our time. I don't think fairies exist but it be pretty cool if they did. who knows theres alot we dont know about the world, let alone the fairy world.

What form did the devouring mother take before the internet?
yeah that’s a good question, perhaps the welfare state is a posible form?
Domineering mothers and momma's boys for personal expressions, and then various Whore based Goddesses through history.
@@CrumCringle Imo the economy is relatively masculine, and identified with Moloch, dogma too empowers a phallic structure. I like the idea of atomic warfare as the ultimate return to the mother through annihilation.
@@MemeAnalysis why is that type of anahilation femenine???
@@darktrooper-ub6eo exactly . Annihilation is both masculine and feminine . This channel is funny . “Comparing Christ and evil spider mother .” Christ is not selfish he does not eat . I can see this guy is Christian hater . The internet is invented by A “man “ and used by men and women . The fact that this channel exist in the internet makes him part of the collective . He is also a user of the “spider”. We all are . It depends on how you use it and what you make of it . The internet is not evil . It depends on The user .
So how could we get out of the mother's web?
What do we need to sacrifice to free ourselves from the great devour?
Literally unplug yourself
Sacrefice Goat? Black ones. That is a good question btw
What the fuck this is great
How would someone understand the difference between courage and arrogance?
Because they are the same if you’re just starting out. It takes courage to tell your manager at work they’re doing something immoral at the same time it can be seen as incredibly arrogant that you can live with not having a job from a small complaint you could have just kept quiet about.
This is a damn good question. I suspect that it's always a back and forth between the two. You have courage enough to get yourself going, but then you will inevitably make mistakes that reality will need to check you on. As long as you can humbly admit your mistakes, you will continue to grow, and with each iteration of this, you become more and more keen.
Damn, spot on.
Where do women fit in this? do we become the devouring mother? are we subconsciously fulfilling the archetype? Am I THE ANIMA?!?!?
also why are men so afraid of women we are just poeple like i dont understand how they create a giant female cyber-concious that wants to eat their jizzz I mean like just don't dude women just be like, go to work, drink wine buy sweater like what is happening to the mensssss
Women are within the Matrix as well, and susceptible to different, but similar forces, my video on Slenderman covers this a bit, with more to come.
@@MemeAnalysis you are associating the internet as a mother . Because your perspective is from a man . But what is internet to a woman ? A father figure ?. Christ is a father figure and people BOTH WOMEN AND MEN worship him . GENDER does not matter . In all sense we as human beings look for a PARENTAL figure . Both motherly and fatherly . Please don’t associate all bad things to woman . you are demonizing women .do a TYrant father archetype for a change . you should cover both sides of toxicity without BIAS only then you can be called a true philosopher
@@nR-nc8mb I have, the Devouring Father is a Minotaur. Check out my video with Angie Speaks, I discuss this figure there. The Devouring Mother figure just does well with this audience, it is by no means the only digital archetype.
Time for some father energy
what's the film used as background ?
Isn't the answer to rebel as a individual, to preserve what is fading away? Even if the rebellion appears hopeless.
So what’s the way to become initiated?
In the way that this "mother" builds to eat, Christ builds to feed. I don't think Christ is more complex than God. I think we can just take hold of His qualities more easily. That is why He is called Emmanuel, literally "God with us". Being Human, and not God, we need God in the flesh, given for us so that we may live to Him and through Him.
This is some next level shit
How about a video on Chris Chan?
Does this mean Projekt Melody is, or at least represents a modern day Anima?
Return to Odin, my friends.
