Thanks a lot mate … really appreciate. About the zander 😂 … same goes with the asp, catfish or other fish. Plenty of people have the idea that I started fishing with this RUclips channel 😂😉. Cheers man 🤘🍻
15:25 very useful video for me because I only have a spinning rod and It's horrible with soft shads. Or it might be that I'm the bad one with them. I only caught 1 zander and it was hooked on the back with a sinking lure near night time. It makes more sense to me now that I will have better luck ar night time with my hard lures. thank you and great video 👌
glad to hear that mate and really appreciate your comment. Usually, for softbaits, it's better to have a sensitive rod adapted for the asituations that you fished the most of the time, cheers man ...
Greetings from Serbia! Great video as always! You can try also soft baits at night for zander fishing. Very effective technic for catching zanders at night (river fishing) is classic spining/ wobbling with little bit bigger or longer soft baits (5-6" or 12-15cm) paird with very light jiggheads (2-5g) and than do the very slow retrieve with spining reel. It is very similar to fishing with wobblers. Cast parallel to the shore, or little bit on the water, in the current, along side the current, egde between current and countercurrent and make very very slow retrieve! My recommendation for this technic is RELAX BASS 5" (12,5-13cm) especially in the color (code of the color) L588 (B- blister package is better than standard bag package). Benefits from this techinc are you can search almost every corner of the shore/bank, soft bait have little more suptile vibration and action than standard wobblers and zanders loves that, you can do slow retreiving with reel as you want, the hits are very strong (talking about asp strong hits) and it is rarely very rarely to miss the bite, usually the lure it is very deep in the zanders mouth! Thrust me try this next time when you go for zander night fishing, Rleax Bass 5" BAS5-L588-B + 3g jiggheads ond hook 4/0-5/0... cast a little bit on the water or parallel to the shore/ bank and very slow retrieve, slower than you do with wobblers! Tight lines!
thanks a lot mate, for the appreciation and the tip. I'll try to find some big jighead that are as light as you said and give it a try. hopefully you'll see some nice zander caught like that in some videos that will follow ... even though these days it's almost impossible to catch a zander, at least where I fish. cheers man ...
well, almost the same use here in the middle of the Balkans.. Relax king/ turbo/bass/kopyto, SG Cannibal, Formax Thunder shad also. Very similar jointed hard lures also. Good Luck. Zander is very interesting because of the night fishing, so sad here fishing during night hours is mainly prohibited.
Great, thank you for the advice, I test various lures but without result, it seems to me that if there are zanders they attack everything, they ate them, they are not there, even a great lure will not tempt them for dinner
Salutare!
Salutarile mele 🍻👍
Great video! Great arguments / explanations. One cand do the math and apply this knowledge on every spot, elsewhere. I'll keep in mind mostly the weights, because here, as I'm sure you know, everybody recommends 5 to 7 grams, but they are all, or almost all fishing on private waters. Or fishing on a river is another story.
thanks a lot man, really appreciate. and yeah ... I know how plenty of people from Romania prefer to fish for the zander, and they do the same here in Italy ... small lures and very light jigheads, and most of them are catching small zanders ;). cheers man ...
Hi Emile In germany is an angler with a youtube channel Veit wilde is his name he developed a lure special for the zander a hardbait that's very slowly to fish and it runs only 1 mtr maX it's the Nightveit wobbler a great lure for the night in shallow water . Fantastic video Emil giving away your secrets hahah 😅 it’s funny because I use the exact same lures here in the uk a Zander is a Zander no matter where it lives although I do down size compared to ur lures because I mainly fish canals for them although they are not biting at the moment but they will Thanks again my friend too notch 👍🏼🎣🐳👊🏼🍻
thanks a lot mate, really appreciate. if I can say something ... try to fish some bigger lures too, like 9-10cm. even small zander don't have a problem with that size. it's just an idea ... I know people that in some of my fishing spots use small lures 4-5-6 cm ... and catch small zander only ;). cheers man ...

Looks good but one question you dont use v tails for zander?? When i dont get any bite on paddle tails v tails sometimes save my day Had some sessions where i didnt manage to get one bite in 1.5 hours of fishing i switched to 14cm v tail and i catch 5 zander in half hour They can be really good Or can i see that as an indicator you allways catch on paddles 😅 Btw those homemade lipless look so nice man 🤤😀
thanks a lot man. about waht you asked ... as I said in the video, I do my best to keep my fishing as simple as possible. I think that at home I have at least 40 different softbaits, even V tails in 9 or 10cm (don't have longer) but I take with me maximum 12-15 different softbaits. in this way I keep my focus on fishing and not on changing the lure and what could work. If I buy some new lures, it always comes with me for a few sessions and try iy ... if I won't catch anything I'll just leave it in the "reserve box" ... for some next session. and yeah, haven't caught any zander (any fish) with the V tails that I have tried, so I just left them home :). now I remember ... I caught some zander with some lure that was similat to what you said: ruclips.net/video/OtBbTW8Ha1Y/видео.html cheers man ... ps: about the homemade lipless ... thanks a lot, I really enjoy doing them, and fishing them too ;)
I don't use them just because I don't wanna carry to much stuff with me. I have tried them a bounch of time without nothing special happening. perhjaps I'll try to buy some new V tail lures and put them in my bag to try them. have any recommendation?
