    Hey Troy, thanks so much for posting this. Just fitted a set to my V4S. Interestingly the gear linkage was a bit too long for my 2021 version.. I think the guy that sold it included the wrong one. I swapped the original push rod in and it works a treat. So happy with it!!

    Hey Troy great informational videos you make! Have you experienced any issues of the shifter lever screw backing out of the GP/standard shift bracket and not being able to shift at all..... after this install of course? I have because I believe the chain somehow scores the head of the screw there fore unloosing it. That’s the only conclusion I have after looking at the head of screw being scored up. Thank you for any input you may have!

    Great tutorial on this installation.
    That job on plastic for reverse shift seemed odd.
    Curious as to kick stand set up.
    Looks as though it’s secured into engine case with a bracket that goes as far back as swing-arm pivot.
    Always insecure as to Ducati kick stands and peripheral attachment points and their ability to take some abuse.

    Buying this for sure. I’m 6’2 and my legs are crazy cramped on my v4 on factory rearsets

      I’m the same height but I find the factory rear set ok for me. If you lower the foot position would it be even more difficult to tuck knees on the tank?

    We're the heel guards extra? My kit didn't come with them.

    Hello Troy. First of all, thank you for the excellent rearset install video. I just wish you could have demonstrated the actual adjustment of the shift and brake levers. So my question is, how do you adjust the levers after you unscrew the bolts below the rear set foot peg. For example on the gear shift lever side ( on the left), after unscrewing the boat underneath the foot peg, the gear shift lever becomes lose but I am on able to move it up or down to properly set the position for the clearance of the left toe area of my boot to engage the gear shift lever. Am I supposed to loosen the locknut on the quick shifter-shift linkage and then unscrew that clockwise or counterclockwise to adjust the gear shift lever on the foot peg or once you unscrew the bolt underneath the foot peg that’s enough to move the shift lever up-and-down? Your help with this matter will be greatly appreciated. Also, if you are able to provide a demonstration that would even be better. But either way, thank you for your excellent “How to install the Rhizoma rearset vid”.

    Very nice man. Great video and nice rear sets. Always love rizoma stuff. Such great quality. Also, what camera did you use to film this?

    Troy, nice video. This helped with my install as well. I found that my rear sets, the front pegs or shifter and brake peg role... is this normal? I find my foot slips or roles downward under hard braking and shifts.

    Have you had any issues with shifting? I have these rear sets as well and on track I had a few times where it wouldn’t down shift. The lever wouldn’t move

      Zero issues. Might be something else

    How did you attached the shift linkage OEM eye-bolt to the rear set? It looks like access to the bolt is blocked by the chain and the rear set. Thanks

      Jeff G unbolt the rearset from the bike and twist it around for clearance

    I never have understood the cost to benefit of rear sets. In all my 45 years of riding I never once got on a bike and thought i need to change the foot pegs!! That part looks identical to the part he took off?

      Michael Kastner I’m 6’3 with a US 13 size foot. I always feel awkward with stock rearsets. That and stock rearsets can only get to about a 54* lean angle before they start scraping. These allow for better lever adjustment and no scraping. The look amazing as well

      Two words: 'cast' and 'machined'. But, if you think those parts look the same then I guess there's no real point in answering your question. Rather I have one of my own - why the hell are you wasting your life looking at a 20 minute video on the installation of aftermarket rear sets if you have no interest in ever doing it?

    Ah very nice video... So with the rizoma rear sets in their stock position, do they feel much better than the stock ones ?

    • @retiredtk
      @retiredtk  6 лет назад

      Richard James 100x better. Lever adjustment is a must but being 6’3, the peg position is nice.

    why is nobody willing to instal a termignoni exhaust ?

    • @retiredtk
      @retiredtk  6 лет назад

      federico gher this is a rearset install. I have another video where I installed my akra. The akra is still covered under warranty with the flash Ducati puts into the bike. Termi is just the exhaust and in my opinion, doesn’t look half as clean as the akra. To each their own on that.

    • @FedeGherbaz

      Troy Gleason Yes i asked here , cause at some point in the video you mentioned the akra exhaust, so my mind started thinking. 😅 I agree with you the akra is cleanear and leaves the tail of the bike Just like the original... Everyone is chosing the akra instead of termis , but i had the chance to Watch It once in person and It is something very different. Not better but very unique. Greets from Italy ;)

      Michael Kastner have to for the reverse shift.. although they really should have thought that one through at Ducati lol. I cleaned it up. Looks a lot better now
