Watched a few of these before doing my 15 clubs. It’s pretty much fool proof. Buy the liquid and tape at Dicks. Both for under $10. Any utility or sharp knife will work. You don’t need a vice or rubber clubs sleeve. Your hands will work fine. Unless you are the next Arnold Palmer, you can align the grip by just eyeing down the shaft from a couple of different angles. You will not be the next Palmer if your worried about your grip being off by a millimeter or two. Biggest thing I learned and not shown in these videos is to keep the solvent off the outside of the grip. Be careful with the fluid and just well cover the tape and inside of the new grip. Before you do the final push on, put everything down and clean you hands, and the shaft excess not on the tape, THEN grab the club and new grip for the final push on. The fluid is not good for the factory tack. Hopefully this will avoid having to thoroughly wash off the excess with soap. Soap is probably not great for the tack either. Not sure what the fluid is, but there are harsh warnings all over the bottle. You don’t want it where it is not supposed to go.
Dude, great vid! I’ve been wondering how to regrip these putters since I first saw them in the shop! That’s awesome that you can regrip it and still adjust length with the new grip on there
@@MeMe-kq5xs I thought I would have to but no need to get out my power drill. the pp58 ping grip hole lines up perfectly... and it's by far the smallest grip ping makes. most grips come with a hole in the top of them already. Actually had to send one off to ping anyways to lie angle change & regrip, and did one myself both ended up great without Drilling. One is a little tight but still works. It's not the type of thing you have to do too often. By the way if you're ever in need of a driver/adjustable putter shaft key, it's a very inexpensive T25 Torx bit you can buy from the hardware store instead of spending 20 bucks on a Ping, TaylorMade Etc. Cheers
@@BuffaloNickel9 I just got a Ping adjustable putter and PP58 grip to put on, but it really has to stretch to fit over the plastic. Were you able to get it on there ok?
Yes ... same Q: It seems inevitable that you have to enlarge the circular hole at the top of the grip (bigger than what's normally there) and it's probably better to do that before you regrip.
Thank you for the video; makes it look a lot more easier knowing what to expect. Is the adjustable sleeve able to be removed permanently so it can be made into a fixed putter shaft since I already know the proper length I want? Some of them have been failing after some time and begin to rattle or the grip is misaligned (mine is beginning to shift a little), so I want to make it into a fixed length putter without having to purchase a new shaft.
Thanks for this video I just did a PP60 for a friend and I was curious as to what the extra plasticy material was on the end. Happy my hook blade didn’t cut it when removing the old grip! I fit a superstroke flatso 3.0 on the adaptor and it fit just flush so not sure if you could pop the top off the SS grip and still get at the screw? Either way it’s there if adjustments are needed in the future.
I have a 2021 Ping Fetch adjustable. I like the putter, but prefer 17 inch putter grips. Will there be any issues with regripping this club with such a long grip?
Nice video very informative, although is it possible to remove the grip with air , or does the screw area get in the way ?? On my new sigma 2 anser the grip is smaller than I prefer but I'm rolling with it for now ..
Well, you could potentially put an inch of wood or metal at the end so the grip doesnt slide as far giving you that extra inch but you'll be sacrificing ever being able to adjust again without removing said grip and it may not have the tightest form to your club giving it a loose feel.
Good job. I have the adjustment set to the max 36 inch but I find the head a bit heavy. I will like to install the TOUR SNSR on it. Is it doable? Thanks
Hello, I ask you from Yerba Buena, Argentina, my children have ping heppler putters, which have a little play in the grip, they make a small click when making the movement of the putter, I wanted to consult your experience, if it is possible to change the grip ? is the adjustment mechanism overridden? how should it be done? In my city we have the Professional Cesar Monasterio, a senior player who will participate in the European Tour, who has a workshop and a lot of experience, but in this part of the world we are the only ones with the hepplers. from now, thank you for you help. can you reshaft? and leave it fixed in case the adjustment system breaks or is damaged?. Best regards
Hi....I have a ping craz-e vault putter 2019 version, the adjustable grip seems to be different to this one. Any ideas if you can change the grips on mine to a flatso or flatcat? Many thanks
What's in your hand looks white (like tape). The closeup looks black. Is the closeup showing what it looks like without tape? I'm trying to figure out how this gimmick works before I buy one.
dumb questing but does the slide /adjusting mechanism of the club sit over the shaft or is it separate all together. Having some problems with mine moving and wondering if I could just remove that part or what.
To fix the moving sleeve issue, align the grip so it is straight, pull as hard as you can like your trying to pull the grip off the club with super small twists while your pulling. Just had this happen to mine. It is like the sleeve came off of something after a year of use, the whole assembly would turn about 1/4 to 1/2 an inch, very frustrating. It seems to be find now after pulling on the grip as hard as I could.
We got adjustable length, now they need adjustable lie angle and also why have they not gone to a easyer way to regrip putters that could just screw on like a adjustable loft driver or somthing just on the grip side lets make doing this stuff easyer
I actually just sent mine into PING today after talking to customer service about this issue. Mine turns about 1/8 both left and right which throws off the true alignment of the putter which PING stated it's not supposed to do. They are paying for shipping and addressing this problem.

Thanks for the video. It's very helpful. I'm going to regrip a Sigma 2 Fetch. This helps a lot.

now that you installed a new grip over top of the sliding mechanism ......can you use the tool to adjust the length again?
I've the same question. Can you show adjusting it after you regrip just to confirm it still works?

With putter grips that are pretty recently installed I find 100psi of air will pop them off and you can ruse then again.
Thanks, nice job, quick to the point - clear.
Is it possible to remove the adjustable sleeve all together and re grip it without the sleeve?
Will the adjustable grip still be able to adjust to different lengths?
Do you think it would be possible to swap in a super stroke grip?
Love the videos. Can you do one with removing and putting on scotty cameron shaft ring or how to paintfill.
What about the hole in the end can you still get the tool in there with the new grip.

Not a huge fan of the oversized grips. Due to the composite sleeve, am I able to put an old fashioned Ping grip?
with all that weight there from adjusting mechanism i dont think counter balancing it going be issue, their must be so much weight grip end already

I don't think OSHA would be too happy.....
