As a bavarian and also Bayern fan it makes me sad that there isn't a real bavarian rivalry anymore. No serious 1860 and no serious 1.FC Nürnberg. It's true that Bayern doesn't have much competition when it comes to huge local sponsorship deals. This situation makes the whole Bundesliga one sided :/
Yeah it’s a real shame what’s happened at 1860. They seem to constantly shoot themselves in the foot. It would be great to have Nürnberg back in the Bundesliga one day. So we can stop pretending Augsburg are in Bavaria!
Great video. I'd like to add one more point which probably does not affect their finances but their attractiveness to local talent. The lack of top clubs around them means they virtually have no competition in attracting this talent. If someone like Muller was born in the Ruhr area, his club of choice wouldn't have been as easy as picking Bayern.
Yeah that’s a great point. They have Austria right on their doorsteps and even the Balkans, which Bayern have taken advantage of a LOT over the decades. Definitely something that should be considered too due to their geography.
Wouldnt say thats true when it comes u-teams. There are no real chances for young talents to make the teams, so they either go on loan or do not even come to bayern in the first place. But its true, that the only real club they are competing there is Nuremberg in the North and some teams in the west. Its not that easy for them as it may seem. And since Nuremberg does mostly play in 2. BL and do not have money to spend on experienced players they have a real good reputation of integrating talents to their pro team
@@StefanBienkowski Yet you included Freiburg and Mainz? I guess, you somewhat had to make your argument work by cherry picking clubs and data to do this video lmao. How many people from say the Stuttgart region are going to consider supporting one of the clubs from Hessen or Rheinland-Pfalz? Not many, that's certain and therefore you let's call it "congested areas argument" is pretty weak and falling apart. You also did not take the Bundesliga 2 clubs into account properly. Someone from Hamburg certainly won't support Werder, if there are a bunch of local clubs in Hamburg. Go get that RUclips paper king lmaoooo
they are in the 3rd tier its not even a debate they are rubbish rn although in the past (long before majority of the earth's population was born) they were the best club in munchen
Thanks Travis. I reckon it's something we're not really used to in the UK. Can probably count on one hand how many cities or even large towns have one decent-sized club. Can you imagine a Manchester or Liverpool only having one club? Newcastle the only obvious example I can think of

Why not mention Augsburg? On Munich's doorstep.
Because they’re not a big club.

@@UMS-dj3sx I didn't cherry-pick anything. The video clearly states that the clubs on the map are the top clubs based on membership.
A really insightful video and well editing, excited to see your growth as a youtuber
Thank you! Glad you enjoyed it
Very good video ❤
Glad you liked it
saying 1860 is rubbish is disrespectful, what bayern has in player quality 1860 has in culture
It’s not disrespectful. It’s true. They are rubbish.

Interesting perspective
King Stefan keep teaching me 🍻

This was really interesting. As someone from England it’s a fascinating perspective to their dominance.

exactly that, and even then Newcastle are only like that more so in recent years due to Sunderlands downfall.
VFB Stuttgart will win the Bundesliga this year! Sorry to rain on your parade....
I’d love to see that!
the rheinland is one of the richest parts of germany, too.
