Tony Valdez Well Porsche has been a force to be reconed with in rally since the early 70s if not earlier with their 911 models, at least on tarmac events. Search for rally videos from the mid 70s- early 80s and you can even find Ferarri compeeting alongside with a few other exotic cars.
They actually were in the Rally world from the get-go. Their trade marks isn't AWD racing (which is the main event in nearly all Rally now), they're very, very good RWD vehicles. But the media's focusing on AWD since it's inception in Rally hence why you never really hear about Porsche in it.
SeriousFox Those Porsche drivers are not from a factory team, this year is a new championship which is called RGT Cup and there are races from WRC and also some from ERC ( European championship ), But there are just like 3-4 drivers with their private teams.
