As a young girl growing up in rural Pennsylvania with a Muslim father and a Christian mother, I decided in elementary school to do some sort of report or project on Islam. The only two books I found about Islam in my school's library were written by none other than Daniel Pipes. Imagine my utter shock and confusion upon reading that my coreligionists were nothing more than a bloodthirsty gang of backwards barbarians, and that my religion itself was pure evil (أعوذ بالله). My naive mind at the time couldn't fathom that this author would have malicious intent. I was convinced that he was simply wrong and suffered from a massive misunderstanding of my beloved religion. I remember arguing with my school librarian about whether or not to remove these books due to their inaccurate portrayal. Years later, come to find out that this individual is a career islamophobe. The name never left my memory!
These books are more common in places with a small Muslim population such as eastern europe etc. The Islamaphobic industry is a billion dollar industry with many government support. But Allah will preserve his religion and Alhamdulilah Islam is still spreading, even in the places where they are actively trying to stop it.
something very similar happened to me when i was very young . their was series of books that was donated to my school library it was small little books it think from oxford press or some other British publications i cant remember the name but it was a set of books like 20 to 30 small books with about 75 to 100 pages max in each i forgot the name of the set it something like intro to world culture and religion . the book on Islam was pretty much nothing but a orientalist(didn't know the term back then ) book that discussed all stuff like all kieda , porshe 911, which is not related to islam , i opened to book on Judaism no mentions of their horrible acts like Cave of the Patriarchs etc .

I am a Christian and I really enjoyed watching this video. Nobody should treat Muslims in an awful. Their is a big difference between ideology and people. I will always condem hatred towards any group of persons. Ughurs in China need to be respected and Christians in Pakistan, Egypt and Northern Nigeria were Christians are discriminated against.
I went to a Christian school during my middle school days. We used to sit in the same classes (other than the religious classes ofc), we used to play and have fun together. During junior high, I changed schools and there were no Christians there, but the administration still asked if there were Christians so they could be taught their religion instead of forcing Islam onto them. Do some people dislike Christians? Maybe. But most of us do not. They are citizens of the same country, they live in the same communities so there are no reasons to discriminate against them. So, in my personal opinion, Christians are not discriminated against in Pakistan, at least not as much that you put them in the same bracket as Uighurs who are being sent to "reeducation" camps solely because of their beliefs.

I think this type of a discussion is more on par with brother Daniels intellectual abilities and it serves him and us more benefit than wasting his precious time and breath on individuals like apuss and David Wood. something very similar happened to me when i was very young . their was series of books that was donated to my school library it was small little books it think from oxford press or some other British publications i cant remember the name but it was a set of books like 20 to 30 small books with about 75 to 100 pages max in each i forgot the name of the set it something like intro to world culture and religion . the book on Islam was pretty much nothing but a orientalist(didn't know the term back then ) book that discussed all stuff like all kieda , porshe 911, which is not related to islam , i opened to book on Judaism no mentions of their horrible acts like Cave of the Patriarchs etc .

I am a Christian and I really enjoyed watching this video. Nobody should treat Muslims in an awful. Their is a big difference between ideology and people. I went to a Christian school during my middle school days. We used to sit in the same classes (other than the religious classes ofc), we used to play and have fun together. During junior high, I changed schools and there were no Christians there, but the administration still asked if there were Christians so they could be taught their religion instead of forcing Islam onto them.
Do some people dislike Christians? Maybe. But most of us do not. They are citizens of the same country, they live in the same communities so there are no reasons to discriminate against them.
So, in my personal opinion, Christians are not discriminated against in Pakistan, at least not as much that you put them in the same bracket as Uighurs who are being sent to "reeducation" camps solely because of their beliefs.

I honestly don't think there would be anyone else who would be able to handle themselves so stratetigaclly like you did. Most other du'aat or even scholars would buckle and try to appease their speech and end up conforming to exactly what they want. Alhamdulillah you avoided that trap.
