She was a talent, but now she is an artist at the highest level in the world.
angelina's mother said angelina's voice was so unique that they didn't want any voice coaches messing with it that angelina studied music theory...love ur channel...boy angelina sure did master billie's phrasing early ..... angelina developed so many top shelf skills at such an early age that she has been refining them for 10 years.

Excellent reaction! Yes there was so much positive energy at this concert, the audience was relaxed but fully engaged, her mother dancing away at the front for this song! Angelina gave us good vibes, we responded with a mixture of joy and awe! The band was on fire, all the perfect ingredients for a really memorable event.
Yes Angelina is well grounded, she has absorbed the styles and sounds of many iconic artists, then has produced her own unique artistic style. Her stage presence has certainly improved, and her interaction with the audience was special - let's say, we shared some happy tears with her...
As to being directed by people, not always in her best interest - some have tried, thankfully they failed - I believe that Angelina remains true to herself - I hope that this can continue. I would be helpful for Angelina to continue with her education, she recently has been wearing a Harvard tee-shirt, it would be nice to think of her at university, perhaps studying music related topics including production and management - the would give even more foundation for the meteoric rise that must surely come soon...

Finally... 😉 What Angelina definitely learned during the concerts, is, to create a vibe for the certain song, before it even started. So, for example, when she did "Million Miles" at the first concert, people were talking and were not really prepared in the beginning. On her next concerts she introduced it, explained , what it means to her, showing her insecurity, how to explain it and - what was interesting for me - exactly that created this vibe of sorrow, hope, vulnerability. So the audience was in it when the song(s) started...
That is a very interesting observation. What I would say from my limited experience is that an audience also has a presence, and that affects your performance. You can feel when an audience is attentive, when it is critical, when it is kind, and so on.
@@fredneecher1746 Absolutely true! the Best Concerts I have seen over my life were when the Audience and the Band completely Sync-ed up in a Synergy and each fed off the energy of the other . The Grateful Dead and their "Deadheads" were famous for it, but I've experienced it many many times with all types of music!

Love your insight Val - thanks! It’s easy to forget that Angelina is only 16 - her abilities and her presence are so mature, and she’s been performing for a decade already. The pandemic put a damper on live shows for over 2 years, so it must have been a little bit surreal and also incredible for her - to be back on stage again, live in front of an audience. It’s fantastic for us too, because it’s what she was born to do, it’s what she loves to do, and has been doing for virtually her whole life. I’m really looking forward to the next decade and beyond to continue experiencing the artistry of this beautiful soul 😄❤️
So nice to see you this morning, Valerie. She has such fun with this song and with performing in concert this summer. Technique is why she is able to invoke such agility from her instrument. I don't think I've ever been fond of this song, but listening to Angelina's voice and what she does with the notes, it grows on me, just to hear the riffs and catches. You are absolutely correct about authenticity. Angelina seems to be focused on the art. Over the next few years we will see her mature in the way she connects. She is still a little shy when speaking. No shyness when singing. She will likely stay humble, but she'll be more rounded when she speaks, too. I'm glad you appreciate allowing the vision. Hi Valerie, Thank you for your interesting reaction ... as usual ! As mentionned before I'm a big fan of Angelina since several years. I was also a big fan of Amy who was (and stay) for me, one the greatest female singers. Many people says that Angelina is the new Amy, but IMO she is much more than that. She has something unique that I can't explain, may be due to her background or to the person she is inside. Even if I can't put words on it, I know she can bring and share something very big in the music industry. Beyong her musical skills or her incredible voice, I love her authenticity, her honesty, her humbleness and many other qualities she has, that I can resume in one word : her integrity. Angelina has a crush on Amy Winehouse and Adele, and this blend in addition to the greats in jazz gives Angelina a unique vocal.

Love your comments, Valerie. The song was written by Dave McCabe, leard singer of the Zutons, in 2006. I think Valerie might have been his girlfriend. Here he is about 10 years later singing his much slower version: ruclips.net/video/Hu8kkRHvAY8/видео.html In 2007, Mark Ronson rearranged it as more upbeat and jazzy and featured Amy Winehouse as the singer. Of course, Angelina is covering the Amy version, and she made it even more jazzy. While Angelina is not a mover and shaker on stage, she has never been able to be still; always moving her body and feet. At a concert like this she likes to move around on stage so that everyone that paid to see her has that opportunity. I interpret that as just another way she cares about those who care about her. She is empathetic, humble, kind, and appreciative of all the people who have invested their time and energy in her. While she has great technique and shows that when singing, in between songs her interaction with the audience is totally candid, humble, and never rehearsed. She wears her heart on her sleeve, and the audience can easily tell just how authentic she is. Besides her immense talent, that authenticity---what you see is what you get---is a major reason she is loved so dearly by her fans. Again, love your Angelina reactions, Valerie. 😊😊

Wow! What great advice. What you say covers so many areas of an individuals study, not just singing. Defiantly any of the arts and beyond to wherever ones interests are. And, you've got it right about the schools!
So, has AJ had no voice coaching or has she found one that helps her to follow her own path. She’s been at a performing arts school in LA and I wonder if her stage craft has been honed there.
Where did you read that she is going to a performing arts school in LA?
The greatest masters have had teachers along the way. No one excels without one. In Angelina's case, I'm sure she has waited for excellence in teachers.

Amy was good and i think with all the drugs very complicated, and live she wasnt so good 😊 i mean angelina is much better as musician, singer and artist, and she is pur love and thats what we feel, fun and soul and love. And also the band is heavenly, they played a long time together, masters 👑♥️🌹🌟

You may have been thinking of the Monkees song "Valleri" from back in the late 60s, a big pop hit for them. They were a kind of American version of the Beatles. Anyway, I always enjoy and learn from your analysis, especially when you analyze the techniques of Angelina.

Angelina has added some fast vibrato to her voice, especially in the beginning. I am not sure that I like it. It’s a good technique, nothing wrong or bad. I noticed this a few months back. I thought she was nervous, but she’s not. Now she does it frequently, and I have read more and more comments on her being a little nervous.

On an acting course I attended we were told about concave and convex energy. Concave energy draws you in while convex energy pushes energy out towards the audience. Angelina's energy is definitely concave. She draws you in and holds you in a vocal embrace. Her stage presence is her own inner serenity.

It is a shame that this is such an amateur recording. For this reason, I prefer her younger performance at the beach. Also, Angelina didn't change the delivery of this song much, probably because she did it right the first time.
I’ll try and get something a bit better posted soon.
The word "shame" seems to me very excessive to qualify this recording shared by a friendly person present in the crowd that evening. It was probably recorded by a fan with a cellphone and it's difficult to expect a pro quality image and sound. BTW the sound is not so bad. Sorry for my bad english wich is not my native language (I'm french)
The last thing I meant to do was to offend anyone. I am pleased that the recording exists and appreciate that someone took the time to share it. With that said the quality is what it is, good enough to be enjoyed.
