MEET Kobe, son to giant pitbull, Hulk, who is going to be the next ultimate protection dog. Earlier in the year the biggest pitbull in the world - who weighs a whopping 12 stone - fathered eight puppies that could collectively command $500,000 (£320,000) if they complete owner's Marlon Grennan’s training school to become elite protection dogs. Marlon, 28, is currently training the next big star of Dark Dynasty K9s with eight-month-old puppy Kobe. At the beginning of Kobe’s training the powerful pup was reluctant to bite or tug, leading owner Marlon to push his training further with the eight-month-old being taught to attack and release on command as well as vault and assault would-be assailants in and on cars.

Update on Ace - I have gotten him involved in playing some of the games ruclips.net/user/postUgkx1_veP7CApJK_GWy_TczaMciuG64PqJeU and I can see a difference in his confidence already! My other dog played along and he became intrigued - now its a daily part of our routine - about 3 times a day we do the shell game and the muffin tin game. I am so grateful for coming upon your training techniques!

He has no prey drive because of his mastiff blood. He probably has a little to a lot of defense for the same reason. Only problem is bite training a dog entirely in defense creates dangerous, stressed dogs. That's why you never see mastiff breeds being used by the police or military. Rotts used to do well but since they got popular they've faded away as well.

Pits were bred to be animal aggressive and human friendly, with most seeing human aggression as a fault and unacceptable (enough for the dog to be culled). The majority of attacks from dogs called "pit attacks" are other bully breeds or mutts. The only pitbull is the American Pit Bull Terrier.

It was being bred it the 80s and was mixed with American bulldogs, pit bulls, am staffs, and in some cases mastiffs. It created a stronger, bigger, more well tempered version of the APBT. However the APBT has a longer life expectancy and is faster than bully pits

Some dog breeds have natural instinct to protect and do this type of work like Makinois, German Shepherds, and Dobermans. Not really sure why this guy is doing it with this "pitbull". The dog clearly has very little drive. However, it's still a good work out and good mental/physical stimulation.

A St Bernard sized pit bull will never perform as good as a real pit bull. Face it.... "XL Dogs" are exactly like "Mini Dogs"... They are novelty's created for their appearance rather than function. Your dogs are rare... granted... which is why people are willing to pay so much for them. Couldn't agree more. It was this sort of breeding that turned the english bulldog into what it is today. It's a shame but there will always people willing to shell out big bucks for these designer breeds even though more often than not they are riddled with health issues.

If you really want a protection dog get a good GSD or Malinois and spend the time to find people that know what they're doing and train with them. A protection dog is not a product it's a n on going progression of training. If you just want a dog to scare people away then spend a few grand on one of these pit bullish dogs.
Honestly as long as it still bites when told the bully breeds are just fine for most situations. You dont need a malinois or gsd for your house because thats closed quarters. Someone like a cop would though because they have to chase people down so a faster more agile dog is needed. For a dog to keep at home a bully is by far more intimidating which keeps people away to begin with and if they come in anyway its game over. This guy breeds and trains malinois too though in case you didnt know.
