Wow Jennifer…..thank you for sharing your powerful truth (instead of burying it)….thank you for bringing to light…the truth….rather than the lies, betrayal and as the caller said…seeing the signs….”I am not crazy”

I wasted 14-yrs of my life with a man who was a master in seduction & deceit. He was a sex addict & perfected how to obtain his drug of choice... women.
With much holistic trauma work over the years w/o going into detail, I recalled enough to understand some confusing, lost hours & one lost weekend. He'd likely drugged me & .....
Took me 6-mo's of secretly saving & planning a way to leave.
That was 32 yrs ago & to this day I become nauseous when I think of those years & am filled w/shame that I ignored warning signs, gave him the benefit of the doubt way too many times & was so easily duped. Being SO naive & from an abusive childhood, I was a prime target for this Faux Prince Charming!

Here's the thing, Merrie. The length of time it took you to open your eyes isn't the issue. *What we celebrate is that You Got Away From That Horrible Man!!!!!* We will celebrate you, and we will praise God that you got out of it. And it looks like you made some positive strides in examining WHY you were able to be duped. Please give yourself credit for that because so many people never make that connection. I am so proud of you, and I am grateful that you survived!!! 🤗

I watched the Hulu story and it was really amazing. This man was a serious sex addict. But I got how he manipulated all those women. He was a good looking man and good looking people are always given the benefit of the doubt. If this man looked like a troll he probably wouldn't have been able to get as far as he did. But what sickened me was his "relationship" with a 15 year old YUK! However, a sex addict, a real sex addict doesn't care. They don't care who they hurt, they don't even care about themselves or getting caught. Oh, and he gave this poor woman an STD. That made me want to throw up.

The Hulu documentary was painful to watch. The wife who got cheated on for years and didn't realize it (even though the mistresses figured it out) was the center of the story. And the poor child who was raped by her husband was almost a footnote. Then I read an article that the raped victim was suing Hulu and the production company because she did not consent that the use of her interview or presentation?! That makes this even worse. And the moral of this story is that consenting adults were the victims?
