This looks like a good beginners quad. Most Syma drones have looked and performed quite lackluster recently, but considering what you get in this one (GPS, Return to Home, pitch-controlled camera), this may be a possible return to form. Hopefully the follow me functions work to at least a good degree :)
As a cheapish beginner GPS quad it isn't bad. Usual syma jello has been reduced (though not eliminated) and it has a reasonable but not spectacular flight time. Wifi FPV restricts it a bit but is now quite popular (I've no idea why). I've seen a lot worse at or far above the asking price and not many better at or around that price. Add an aio camera and it might improve the experience
Nice one, gps lock seems very good as the flight time; if only they could sort out that obnoxious "jello"...anyway if the camera is attached like the x5uc a thin layer of foam would reduce it.

There's no stability on it and I discharge all the battery trying to make it flying still. I am so frustrated. I liked this syma x25pro and I found it cheap. Do you recomended it or there's a better drone with gps and extra functions for $100~$120?
Great video but I have a question How do you know how when the controller batteries are getting low ? What happens if controller batteries start to die in flight ? Cheers
Don't know if you noticed when you where trying the follow me mode that the bottom numbers where green but top number was red. Do you think it needs to be at a minimum distance. Find all your vids helpful.
It does. I flew it again today. But it didn't seem to help by increasing distance. I don't think that these advanced features have been fully implemented yet by the Syma Fly app. Follow on review demonstrating this to be released soon.
Here's how you extend the range of this quads: Buy a 1W CPE and set it in repeater mode, then point it at the direction you want it to go. Done, instant kilometers range.

Hi quick question what drone would you recommend I'm new to flying and I want a drone that can take off and when I let go of the controll stick it will stay in the same position/height and not move side to side ????

all the features on the app work , but you need to have google maps loaded , also if you install the app from the app store it's in english and tells you to connect to maps , once youve done that the follow me , circle point of interest and set a course feature works perfectly
Another Syma drone that I wouldn't buy. Yucky, blurry camera with a ton of jello, brushed motors and a proprietary battery. At least it's better than the X8 Pro...
it's so sad this drone has EVERYTHING going for it except it's shitty pinhole camera that comes with all the other syma products. If it had a decent camera i would buy it in a heartbeat.
Once again Syma disappoints. They always manage to be 2-3 years behind everyone else's technology. Releasing it without a fully working APP in English is another disappointment, but not unexpected from Syma. This one has a LONG way to go before its "ready for prime time". Not quite the disaster of the 1st version of the Xiaomi MI, but a close 2nd.

Syma should start having brushless motors.
As cheap as brushless has gotten brushed motors should be dumped completely.
Randall Huston brushed toy motors still has a purpose for first time flyers and beginners.

Syma,slowly stumbling ahead with not so great products,very unfortunate as Syma were my first quadcopters and I really enjoyed them:)

You should notice greatly reduced control range. Also some controllers may beep when their batteries are low.

You would want a drone with GPS (for outdoor flying), or optical flow (for indoor flying).

I've not reviewed the S20. But every GPS drone requires doing a compass calibration before you fly. The manual should show you how.
