Good to see that they have not forgotten the RHD market...it was unfortunate they didn't do that 20 years ago ?! Otherwise the O 405, O 404 etc. would have had the chance to be present in the RHD world with that 'original standard' touch instead of (only !) in bus-chassis form for RHD market with compromised 3rd party bodywork in those days.
The O405 DID manage to show up in Singapore, operated by TIBS, then SMRT Buses. (I know my home country the most), all the way till 2020, when LTA announced that all Non-WAB buses will be phased out by 2020. Saw the Hispano Habit bus a couple of times on 965 in my area. Sadto see it go though, especially since I have never had a chance to take them...
@@IzariasVids O 405 in bus-chassis form only (not the Mannheim made original M-B bodywork version with curved windscreen which i understand existed only in LHD form) so RHD markets like SGP & MY made do with the German made bus-chassis with 3rd party bodies.
You do realise the whole point of the new routemasters was to phase out bendybuses right? Although I agree these are much better quality, it’s a shame London isn’t suitable for long vehicles
@@justiny371 Yea, they have been considered the chariots of death there (from my general knowledge), and HK does not allow any vehicle longer than 13m. SG is also planning to phase the a24s out soon, from what i seen from LTA. Luckily, bendies will still thrive in North America, because of height restrictions there.
I wonder if they are as unreliable as the earlier one. 'Articulated Steering fault' it would say.coukd be anything from a light bulb to the engine siezed. But you wouldn't know unless you had the main dealer Star unit. 3 alternators. That used to siezed and fault off after a few months, taking out the tensioner and the oil filler tube and dip stick with it.
2023 still beautiful...

Is this bus headed for Nankai (南海バス)? If so, I managed to get a ride on it at Kansai Airport.

maybe you can bring them to London it would be nice than having new routemasters
London has tried bendy buses. Didnt work out

Totally agree. The Citaros were great. They should never have been retired.

@@ElshadKarbasi Yes, and the SMRT Citaros in SG will retire next year probably. Sad...
Singapore should try this
real, they need more bendies for the airport :(
Make this for Singapore too!
YaoBoy SG man A24 is better than this one. Depends on LTA whether wanna fleet additions or not when all the O405Gs retire .
