I can't quite figure what's happening there. No sound. What was the issue that was causing it to be not working intermittently? I need to fix mine urgently too.
My wife just had similar problem. Tried food processor unit for first time - alhough mixer unit is years old and probably out of warranty. Food processor mounts on the medium-speed socket. It's activation is dependent on a switch being pressed down by a lever inside the handle of the food proscessor bowl - white notch inside grey handle. I figured the problem was that the notch never managed to reach down all the way to the switch, when twisting the bowl in secure position. I took of handle of bowl - 2 screws - and found that the white notch was held up and away from the swhitch is as meant to activate by a spring - pushing in my opinion in the wrong direction. I moved the spring to the top of the handle. Had to cut a little into the plastic to keep spring in ok position. Put handle back on - and the food-processor worked. I will not hesitate to rate this an absolute product design flaw: wouln't be surprised if Kenwood has since fixed this in later models.
Hallo .. Ich habe eine KENWOOD-Maschine, die dieser Maschine ähnlich ist, aber wenn ich sie starte, funktioniert sie schnell und stoppt, was ist die Lösung???
Before risking taking anything apart try this: press hinge unlock button and immediately pull it back up and hold it firmly whilst turning on the motor. My KM240 seldom turns on but I just discovered this works, strange as I never use it as a mixer so haven't worn out the hinge button. In my experience taking out screws inevitably means bits fly out or it never goes back properly so I won't be investigating what's wrong inside whilst this easy hack has solved my years long persistent motor start up problem.
Can you explain what are you doing are you fixing the headlock

I think the problem was the loose switch responsible for the hinge lock mechanism 1:16 1:40
