@1Way Road Yeah I just made a quadbike out of my hoverbike with 2 fans added to the left and right of the steering stick. Eats battery like crazy but is very fast and strong enough to lift koroks, puzzle objects and shrine crystals alike. Most of the building is based on weight distribution so as long as you have things centered properly you can attach things directly underneath the steering stick and be able to control flight pretty well still.
@@deeked700 Agreed. Koroks are easy on this base model if you just position them on the top tip of the motor section of the back fan. I've been using this hover bike since release. I usually refer to it as "my ride." As in, "Oh no! My ride fell off the giant mushroom again!" Or, "Damn it, the Frok ate my ride!" A couple of notes for new users: 1. These two Zonai parts never decay due to time/use. They will disappear at a certain range from Link, but as long as you keep it in range, the parts will last forever. The only parts that have short life span, that I know of, are the glider and rocket. Afaik, Zonia batteries will persist once empty, and continue to weigh on your device. 2. This bike allows very quick descent, but you have to become familiar with the drop distance. If you quickly release the steering stick by pressing B, then immediately press A to "control" it again, you'll drop 40 or so meters before the fan kicks back on with enough force to arrest your fall. You'll retain control of the device. I'm often high enough to do 3-4 of these "stall" drops before I'm near the ground and it saves a ton of time circling in a downward spiral when you're trying to reach a target directly below you. 1b. Any short fall that doesn't separate you from the steering stick pad will not cause Link damage when the ride hits the ground. So a quick B then A will often land you fast without risk of damage. I use this stall drop mostly to control where my ride lands so that, as mentioned in point 1, it stays within range of Link and does not disappear. 3. Recall is your friend. I'm sorry, there's nothing I can offer to recover your ride if a Frok eats it. However, if your ride falls off a mushroom, or any other ledge, and you can still get line of sight on it, you can recall it to any earlier position. Drop it wherever in your flight path you want it by pressing L with Recall as your selected ability! If you're the experienced player thinking "Well, duh, that's what recall does..." I mention it in case new users haven't thought of it yet. Just remember to step out of the way. Anything you recall, including your Zonia hover bike, will do damage if you're standing in its path. **Frok Spoiler** It occurs to me just now that this has revealed a tactic for fighting Froks! When Froks try to vaccuum you in, they'll stop and chew the first thing they suck in. So perhaps since we have unlimited Zonai devices, drop one near you so that it'll get eaten and triggers the Frok's chewing. Then an eye-shot is much easier. Scourge of the Depths hoovers like crazy, so this will be particularly helpful. The trouble with parking a ride near a Frok is that it almost inevitably is too close and will get sucked in. Park it farther away and it'll despawn due to range. This would be super annoying if not for the Zonia device duping.
ive seen this many times and i actually used this to get the zonaite armor and also just explore the sky islands, using the large zonai charges and duplicating them gives you infinite battery no matter the size so you never need to use a horse again.
Been using this the last couple of days and it's so good! I actually used it to complete the Eldin dungeon. I would just fly around everywhere instead of using the minecarts and if you use one of the big light seeds, it provides a lot of light making exploration in the depths super easy. Just be careful that it doesn't fly away since throwing a seed at what I call "Hagrid's motorcycle" makes it fly away so you'll need to quickly strike it with a weapon before it flies off by itself.
If you’re more of an on the ground guy try using a flat cart and two small wheels with a steering stick. It moves super fast is easy to turn and barely uses up any battery. Definitely my ideal ground vehicle.
Definitely good for light transport, but sticking weapons on it makes it too heavy. I made a version with two fans in the back and one in the front, and it stays pretty fast even with two construct heads and beam emitters on it. Great vehicle for strafing runs
As a tip for the Sinai duplication glitch: If you choose your items and you just do the duplication glitch standing any where, your device will appear but nothing will be taken from inventory!
ALSO, if you do this same Neville design, attached to a small flat plank of wood, you can transport items easily, then after transporting you can auto build it without the wood after. And if the item you’re transporting is heavy, you can add two fans on the side to give more lift. The wood I used is at Hudson Construction site, near Tully Town attached to two Big Wheels.
Here’s a fun device I made: get a square plank. Attach 5 frozen regular meat to one side. Flip it over. In one corner, place a fan with the back of it facing the other corner. Put a control stick in the middle. Now you have a hovercraft. It motors through the water perfectly because the front corner angles a bit upward due to fan weight in the back. It turns super fast. And it maneuvers even faster on the ground than the water because the frozen meat is so slippery.
I use this design with 2 fans in the back instead. The extra back fan gives more stability for very little extra power draw. I crash far less often, and landing is easier, in my experience.
Is there a good way to make sure everything is "lined up"? I keep building it to where I think it looks straight, but the second I get on it, it starts wanting to flip over, etc.
This makes a real good explorer in the underground by just throwing a large lightbloom onto the front and staying a bit close to the ground. Just remember the bloom will trigger the fans so jump on quick
Any tips for centering the connected parts? I've tried building this air bike 30 times now and it keeps being just a bit off-center causing the thing to veer to one side. There doesn't seem to be a way to click-to-center like the blocks and slabs which grid lock. Also where is the best mounting point for a korok or green shrine stone? I seem to have trouble changing the height if I attach to the front or back, and too close to the center causes the control stick to be inaccessible. Is there a version with more fans that works better or more reliably for cargo purposes?
I spent two hours trying to build this stupid hover bike yesterday and it just simply will not work! Every single time it either drifts to one side or launches me backwards. What am I doing wrong? 😭
You can most definetly burn through your entire battery several times over before it breaks. Only the wing breaks that fast thankfully. Been using this ship for a few days, is so good!
@@ShynLamo They don't break. Only Wings and Hot air balloons do, since they otherwise could let you travel near infinite distance without consuming power.
Brilliant!! Thanks so much for the blueprint for this bc the constant break down of devices were annoying. I modified it a bit and instead of one in the front in back, if you put a steering stick on a fan with two fans infront and 2 in the back it flies wonderfully! Never woukd have thought of that without you! Thank you!!
This thing is bloody genius!! Hubby had been getting really annoyed with the building system, nothing lived up to it's potential. This has been a game changer, literally! He's adapted a 4 fan unit with fans to either side for stability and carrying things and uses it all the time. Bright blooms for light, big dude for a weapon. Thank you so much for posting this build!!
what i like about it even more, it leaves room to add stuff, like lets say you need to add a korok just put another fan on the opisite side you put the korok, same gose for shrine stones, and if you have a huge battery, can add stuff like wep's. so much you can do with it.
you can't reverse, if you ride into a wall you're stuck. if you hit a wall, press B, recall 1-2 seconds . if you run out of battery, press B to turn off, tap L, recall, then quickly release recall, you can spam recall and cancel recall to keep it from ever moving while letting your battery charge back up to max. this bike was literally my first build almost 2 weeks ago so I had a lot of time to trial and error stuff and this is the way that works best for me
This is the infamous "hover bike". It can even be used effectively in the underground by attaching a Large Brightbloom flower to the front of the bike (fuze an arrow with a Large Brightbloom bud, shoot it at the front of the bike, then quickly hit the bike with whatever weapon to prevent it from taking off without you). You'll then be able to fly around freely in the dark underground, and see where you are going. This helps with activating all of the Lightroots, avoiding monsters/mini-bosses/etc, locating poes, locating ore deposits, etc.
i think its only the glider that despawns, i used one of these bikes to traverse from one end of the depths to the other (west end to east end) without anything disappearing, a glider however disappears after like 30 feet, maybe the devs encountered an issue with them if they last too long
I have a mod that makes all the zonai devices infinite, haven't found a single issue. They did it to make them nor so op, without realizing people are gonna build things like this video I'm guessing
@@eltiopavilla5520No it's much better handling, you're just using it wrong. You can't use it like the bike design. Think of it more like an air elevator, it's meant to quickly go up and handles extremely well when turning to get the angle you want while staying stable. It's very hard to do that in the bike design. The bike is just better at covering ground
Until now I've explored everything on foot/horseback. But I am finished with depths and surface. Well, and for the sky this is must have! Also, for depths is great - plain cart, balloon, wood and flint. It helps a lot, usually it can take you waay up. Thanks!
My go to is two small wheels stuck side by side, stabilizer in the back and a stirring stick in the front. It's fast and doesn't drain batteries a lot, though it's not good for up hill travel.
I use an air trike. There is no need to do anything. Just activate it, and it just takes off. Ascent is great, descent is great. And it is easy to handle. The air bike is a bit wonky.
This vehicle lasts a long time. I used it to fly to about 20 different light roots in the depths before it disappeared. And it might have only disappeared because it was made from all zonaite instead of the actual parts. I'm not sure if that makes a difference or not but either way it lasts way longer than some of the other things.
IPad band planes basically disintegrates on me while the things that were on the plane like the fans in the steering stick will just fall to the ground. That's if I use autobuild to make the device. Otherwise I don't have any problem with things made with auto bill being able to go on Long endurance runs. However, I've also noticed that anyting flying that uses the stabilizer or pretty much destroy itself after about 30 seconds. I'm not sure why that is because I can have the stabilizer doing something on a land-based vehicle and it will be fine for a long time.
This build actually does break. It just takes a very long time or maybe for some reason heat causes it to. I rode this design in the depths hunting for pristine weapons from the gerudo highlands, to underneath hebra mountains and to death mountain. Once I was under death mountain the wheels started glowing green and broke. I kinda doubt it's heat related just because I haven't seen that in any other instance. So I guess the fans just last a very very long time. I exhausted my full 16 batteries many many times over
In early game before you have a lot of energy cells, you can attach a big battery to the back fan and it will get you extremely far. Just swap it out when it runs out!
For anyone not having much battery just dupe the large zonai charges... Don't even need that many, duping the hylian shield and fusing it to another helps you duplicate items anywhere without worrying about breaking the shield (it already lasts alot)
Getting these things perfectly aligned has always been a struggle for me. Luckily, it really doesn't need to be "perfect" to still be extremely useful.
The only zonai vehicles that despawn are the one thats fly on there own. Such as the floating stone or wing any other peiece will remain so long as you stay near it
The small wheel also disappears eventually. Found it out by seeing how far across Hyrule I can take it. Not really a concern since I'll most likely be finished using it long before that happens.
I've had that saved for days, but I have been using another version of this but uses 2 more fans attached to the sides and a big battery on the bottom of the steering stick. It's more expensive but with duping it's free 😂. It goes 2x as fast as well as having the big battery it has enough power to go from one side of the map to the other.
I've seen this vehicle in a few videos so I decided to give it a try. It works great. Especially if I need to get somewhere far but don't want to walk all the way or fast travel. My battery's still pretty low, so I just used the duplication glitch to get a bunch of large zonai charges.
question for the tech, IT experts here. is the duplication glitch even possible to patch, easy to patch? or would it seem to be to deep ingrained into the game? and i know i ask something hard to answer just from what we can see by playing the game.
This thing helped me get half the lightroots on the map in just a few hours. It was especially easy to navigate the depths once I slapped a giant brightbloom to its hood. I figure it's going to help me reach everything else including sky shrines.
Can't you rewind your vehicle for short durations of time? Can't you recharge your battery IN FLIGHT? I haven't played the game, but from what I've seen, that should be possible. And you won't need MORE battery.
It's the only vehicle you will need to get Link around yes. But the 2-fan air bike cannot carry items. It can barely carry a korok but it's difficult to control. It can't even get off the ground with a shrine crystal. You need 3 fans to carry things. However, it's very difficult to get 3 fans perfectly balanced (it took me over an hour of continuous rebuilding to get my 2 fan bike balanced). It's MUCH easier to balance with 4 fans, and since you will only be using the 4 fan version to carry things and not as general transportation for Link, it doesn't matter that it takes more battery. Plus if you have 16 batteries + the full zonaite set it doesn't matter anyway. However, it is very difficult to add additional fans to this design while keeping it balanced. My air vehicles all have to follow the 1 minute rule. I take off and face a cardinal direction, then let go of the stick. If, after a minute, it is not still flying the exact same direction, I have to tear it apart and start again. I did finally get the 2 fan version perfect...still working on the 4 fan version for carrying things. The fact that these vehicles are so difficult to get balanced so they fly straight indicate that Nintendo did not intend for people to build flying machines out of only steering sticks and fans with no other support. But they made the physics engine TOO good, so it works, but it requires pixel perfect alignment. Also, fans DO disappear. But only after 30 minutes of continuous use. They last long enough that it's not ever an issue. Steering sticks never disappear.
Does anyone know which devices poof after a certain time? I tried making a lasor wall using Lasor emitters, Stabilizor, and the thing that targets enemies, and the entire thing poofed after about a minute of use.
I really like this design. There were a lot of hastily pushed out videos promoting the horizontal "green goblin" and I wasn't a fan. This seems much better.
Green goblin works for most general usage, it just has a few flaws like somewhat less maneuverability when turning, it rolls forward when landing, can be picky about where it's placed in order to get on and start flying, and doesn't carry things very well. But just for getting Link from point A to point B it works fine enough, at least.
The entire reason I have every light root it bc of this all you have to do is add a large brightbloom seed on the front and it means light without extra battery usage or weight it works wonders
the other version you can do is the "Green Goblin" one where you attach the fans on the side instead. This gives a bit more stability by sacrificing turning ratio. You can also attach things under the steering stick to carry them.
I've seen vids and tried it myself. One youtube complained that the goblin glider throws itself on it's face too easily when landing while the bike is more stable. The bike also has no issue attaching Koroks to the front. I'm going to stick with the bike.
@@justicetaylor3050 yeah when you land it tends to roll forward since the momentum. Not really a big issue for me. I use both depending on what I want to achieve. But in reality, either of these vehicles are OP in the game for traveling.
@@justicetaylor3050 The goblin glider seems to go up much quicker and stable than the bike. It's much more useful than the bike too. The bike is only used as forward transport, which is great in the underground. But if you need to quickly go straight up you're gonna want the glider.
@@youtubesucks1821 yeah, I've noticed that too and the stability is better as well but for turning around quickly it's worst than the bike version. Both are fun though so it's just a matter of preference.
@@AlmightyPyro If were talking preference, I like to do 4 fans out on some 4X4s or whatever they're called in the game so it looks like a drone. Not all that effective or good at handling, but super cool and fun
wouldn't it still work if it was attached at the top instead of the edge and give you a more compact build? Are there advantages/disadvantages either way?

i spend about 40 minutes nonstop to try and make a double fanned flying vehicle that have only 2 fans infront and behind. absolutely 0 chance i can make it fly straight. the only way for me is to have 1 fan infront and 2 at the back, only then it goes straight, i fkn glued my eyes to monitor trying to put fans exactly opposite to each other, no luck, and it is swaying to the side so annoyingly when i fly...
I was really, excited, hearing about the device drop glitch I went right on to try it. I eventually found the same spot used in the vid to try this. Sadly, I did not get it to work, so perhaps a software update patched this glitch 😢.

Tri-Force
Where do the fans attach to the steering base?
If you have multiple big batteries stick, the steering stick on top of the big battery works like a charm
I usually dont click on TotK videos cause i'm currently so invested in my own playthrough. But i'm glad i did this time cause this is cool af.
Is there a good way to make sure everything is "lined up"? I keep building it to where I think it looks straight, but the second I get on it, it starts wanting to flip over, etc.
If you have max batteries, you can slap on two more fans in the back for more lift and forward speed
I spend an HOUR to adjust it to fly pretty much straight without steering my controller stick. Worth it.
I still can’t get it perfect and I can’t tell which fan it is ;-;
It wasn’t that hard…took me 3 minutes
omg actually same. i thought i was crazy.
@@jupitercoyote348 How did you do it? Cuz no matter what i do, it refuses to fly perfectly straight
@@CorynSilver i just lined it up REALLY well. like I spent 30 seconds lining it up each attempt
This makes a real good explorer in the underground by just throwing a large lightbloom onto the front and staying a bit close to the ground. Just remember the bloom will trigger the fans so jump on quick
Where is the location of the place where you duplicate the items? And does it still work today?
Been using this ship for a few days, is so good!
i just discovered that now lol. This is more OP than i realised
Wait they break?!? I've been using this the entire time I've been underground and only ever made like 2 to get most of the nap unlocked.
In that case, I'm throwing a big battery or two on my build.
Literally the only zonai build i use when ever i need to travel its so useful
Whoever thought we'd have a flying mount that lasts in Zelda? So awesome.
what i like about it even more, it leaves room to add stuff, like lets say you need to add a korok just put another fan on the opisite side you put the korok, same gose for shrine stones, and if you have a huge battery, can add stuff like wep's. so much you can do with it.
you can't reverse, if you ride into a wall you're stuck.
if you hit a wall, press B, recall 1-2 seconds .
if you run out of battery, press B to turn off, tap L, recall, then quickly release recall, you can spam recall and cancel recall to keep it from ever moving while letting your battery charge back up to max.
this bike was literally my first build almost 2 weeks ago so I had a lot of time to trial and error stuff and this is the way that works best for me
You could also just ultra hand to rotate if you're near the ground
honestly, most ppl know the design but trying to get the control stick and fan perfectly straight is the difficult part
This “air bike” will be huge for speed running, especially with rockets.
i think its only the glider that despawns, i used one of these bikes to traverse from one end of the depths to the other (west end to east end) without anything disappearing, a glider however disappears after like 30 feet, maybe the devs encountered an issue with them if they last too long
I have a mod that makes all the zonai devices infinite, haven't found a single issue. They did it to make them nor so op, without realizing people are gonna build things like this video I'm guessing
all platforms despawn (atleast when airborn) baloons break after a while too
Attach a dragon scale to it
The fans also work if being used on the side! (think green goblin hover-board vibes) if you can't get the straightness down :)
handling sucks ass like that though.
@@youtubesucks1821 its garbage
Until now I've explored everything on foot/horseback. But I am finished with depths and surface. Well, and for the sky this is must have!
Also, for depths is great - plain cart, balloon, wood and flint. It helps a lot, usually it can take you waay up.
Thanks!
this was the easiest guide i have seen for this device!!! tysm 🥰 the others were somehow too complex for me to actually make LOL
it's easy to recharge battery mid-air too. just recall for a bit
I did make this the other day. It does disappear but it takes FOREVER. I think roughly around an hour of use.
that vehicle do not disappear ever
They do after a while but it takes a very long time. Most of the time you’ll make it to your destination by the time it disappears
they do. just wayyy longer than air balloon / wing. wing are just for mid-air glides. i don't make builds with that thing
@@joesavag this surprises me. I've done like so much distance on one or 2 of these underground I thought they didn't have limited use time
I've seen this a week ago. It's incredibly useful in the depths
Props to the cat for walking in front of the cam. Mine does that all the time.
This vehicle lasts a long time. I used it to fly to about 20 different light roots in the depths before it disappeared. And it might have only disappeared because it was made from all zonaite instead of the actual parts. I'm not sure if that makes a difference or not but either way it lasts way longer than some of the other things.
Made mine from inventory, and it survived multiple crashes, multiple stalls, and never quit on me.
Video starts at 2:05, 2 fans & 1 steering stick!
I've tried this so many times and it just can't ever fly straight and also flips over so easily Link just keeps falling off....
For anyone not having much battery just dupe the large zonai charges... Don't even need that many, duping the hylian shield and fusing it to another helps you duplicate items anywhere without worrying about breaking the shield (it already lasts alot)
Great explanation! So many of these tutorials assume that I know a bunch of things. This was super clear!
“You don’t need that much battery ever” ..yeah when you have the full zonaite armor set lol. Most don’t
@@RobertChambers1522 thats a good one to know doubt many ppl use it long enough to ever see it poof xD
Holy heavens your maxed out almost completely on every item, that's insane. Props
When I get around to grabbing auto build. I'll put one of these together. Already been messing about with the small wheels. That's a fun land build.
Thanks! This helped me get around a problem to get somewhere in the main story without having a skill I hadn't unlocked yet lol
The glitch didn't work for me does it still work for you?
@@andrewfreeman88 I'll have to check. I haven't played the game for a month or two.
question for the tech, IT experts here. is the duplication glitch even possible to patch, easy to patch? or would it seem to be to deep ingrained into the game? and i know i ask something hard to answer just from what we can see by playing the game.
What version are you using? And that duplicate, part, can it work on any items? (Except for the gears)
Not all that effective or good at handling, but super cool and fun
the fans and stick do not disappear making this even better then anything else
i just did some more testing. yeah... wtf it lasts al-l my battery. Crazy
@@toddsilverwolfe really I went through like the whole depths with only making it 1 time.
@@toddsilverwolfe i see thanks for the info 👍
wouldn't it still work if it was attached at the top instead of the edge and give you a more compact build? Are there advantages/disadvantages either way?
Great breakdown on the build
I love how creative this game allows us to be!!!
I added two lights to the sides of the steering stick so I can see in the dark. It doesn't sacrifice movement and you can see where your going.
This is a cool device. Thanks to the creator. I attached two glowing seeds to the fans and it's great to use in caves. (only took a long time to collect)Thanks for the video
When you did the op unbreakable weapon what version of the game where you on?
Where can I find the controller? I have found a few foundry’s but it only gives me stuff I have already found the device for.
those parts blink out??? I don't have the blue bar yet but I had used one to the point the green was almost gone twice from charges just to see and they didn't go away
Thanks for video, can you make the 1000+ damage weapon Glitch in the previous video. I did not understand the comment about the display weapon
I exclusively only use this bike. It's literally god vehicle.
Is this still possible post patch? I made it just like video but it won’t let me use the control stick :/
I tried to double my devices I went to the same place you did and it didn't work I followed ever step
Fantastic vehicle, thank you! (At the embedded photo during the video you remind me of Blupee with the glowing antennas)
Hmm where do u go to unlock the save/favorites feature for vehicles?
i spend about 40 minutes nonstop to try and make a double fanned flying vehicle that have only 2 fans infront and behind. absolutely 0 chance i can make it fly straight. the only way for me is to have 1 fan infront and 2 at the back, only then it goes straight, i fkn glued my eyes to monitor trying to put fans exactly opposite to each other, no luck, and it is swaying to the side so annoyingly when i fly...
"It's going to disappear"? What are you talking about, eyebrows? This vehicle that everyone has already covered never despawns.
other vehicles do. My mistake. Clarified it in pinned comment, and did not just copy some other vid so hope u appreciate it
I built one like this but it could only go up this helps so much.
Thanks for showing me about the Zonai fabric. I wasn’t aware of that!
if you have too much energy just go adding more things like a light a turret or something like that
I was really, excited, hearing about the device drop glitch I went right on to try it. I eventually found the same spot used in the vid to try this. Sadly, I did not get it to work, so perhaps a software update patched this glitch 😢.
Does this simple item duplication still work with 1.1.2?
Trying to fly these with only one battery is so annoying. I just keep landing in gloom it goes flying down a hill and using the reverse time hand is tricky
when you take out your zonai devices, press y and b simultaneously and it won’t take the devices from your inventory so there is no need to dupe
Anyone have issues with their bike tilting left or right if you idle fly?
If you shoot an arrow with a giant bright bloom on it you can explore the depths no problem
when you get 5-6 batteries, add a fan directly under the other fans itll be more stable and itll lift off faster.
Or just add the fan early on and burn a Large Zonai Charge when needed (easily duped)
When does that NPC show up at the top of the Temple of time? I have been up there several times and not seen anyone.
It's a perfect one person vehicle
But for transporting a korok or a green stone is better to use use 4 fans and a wood board
