Hardcore Theresa Part 2 - Nothing Stays the Same! (Happy 5 Years to Kingdom Come Deliverance!)

- Happy 5th Anniversary to Kingdom Come Deliverance.
Five years today the game was released to much fanfare.
Also, on this day people experience the first day bugs and madness. But luckily for us the game has been made quite playable and well, memeable. (I am making up words now!)
Well, I thought I give a short intro to what people are talking about the most for Kingdom Come Deliverance, or what is coming next...
Also, in the main video, Theresa goes on a rampage, tries to save the town, her brother, then becomes the Dragonborn.
I don't know, I just record these things, I have no control over the madness that occurs in 1403 Bohemia.
Best of wishes to Warhorse Studios, hopefully they will have a Happy 5 year anniversary to their game. Also I hope that people do not flood them with questions about Kingdom Come Deliverance 2, but it can not be helped when you make a good game, people will always ask for more.

Intro is not accurate, we all know that true Helical would have drop thousands of clothing around himself to lag other NPCs and then proceed to poison all of them while stealing more clothing and repairing it while laughing that his horse on the roof yet again.
I guess that in this alternative KC:D universe Theresa wiped out half of Runt's gang, took Henry to Rattay and then retired from her life of punching cows and murdering cumans, no Talmberg guards were involved at all
If someone comes comes out with a mod to play as Theresa, but as the Dragonborn with the dragon shouts for KCD.
I would sadly have to drop this play through to play with that instead.
What I am saying, someone needs to make a KCD mod with dragon shout abilities.
I wonder if there's a way to glitch into Henry's main game worldspace playing as Theresa
I have been trying to get Theresa out of her world into Henry's but the walls are too good.
I can send Theresa to the Nether realm, but it does not put me outside the borders.
Also, the invisible walls do not have anything I can beef jump my way over which is problematic.
If Theresa could carry a body, that might change things, but sadly can't get her out...yet...
But this might be for the better ;)
wait! has it been 5 years already? It feels like I encountered the bugged out Ginger quest from 1.3.2 about 2 years ago, not 4!
Screw ginger quest, House of God is still unpatched to this day. I WANT MY 2K GROSCHEN WARHORSE.

12:27 Nevermind the rain. How about the fact that they're both exposed and visible to any cumans and bandits that might be passing nearby? Also, I'm surprised you didn't deal with the crazy woodcutter and his axe (you can just complete the quest by knocking him out, causing him to run to Talmberg)
I had something with him, but I decide to cut it from the video since it was sort of bleh.
I am certain I could do something with him, with a little more thought and time, but I didn't want to "force" some little one liners here and there, otherwise I feel like it could drag the video out. But the wood cutter and his "cutter" was quite interesting.
The hard part is that Theresa is maxed out strength and fighting, yet she can't intimidate that crazy woodcutter in just leaving. Fail those speech checks. I am certain its possible, but they sure make it though.

Its been too long since we had good intros to videos.
Helical, you're a huge reason I got into drawing last year, I did Kronos devouring child and you asked me to do ivan the terrible , I did that and have since done a 250 hour Thanos. I ask you now not only to review it but give me my next suggestion, I am clueless what to draw next
You draw way better than I do haha, I do love the animals you do. My poor art skills have been lagging quite a bit since most of my free time has been put into making these videos.
Honestly, your animals pictures are quite impressive. The only thing I can come off top of my head is connecting a story to your animal drawings. Its sort of vague advice, but I find that helps challenge myself whenever I come up with my own original art.
Or it keeps me motivated on a piece that I hate the direction its going in, but I already named the characters and made up a story so its harder for me to give up on it :P

I love the soundeffects. Without them your videos would only be half as good. And Im also looking forward for kdc2 not only for the story and stuff, but also for the glitches and bugs you will find.
Too bad the scream of Heslim being punched while beating Adela still didn't make into the soundboard.
I think the sound effects save KCD playthroughs in general.
At this point KCD is one of those games that I think is hard to do a full playthrough for people without it getting tedious/boring unless you're really charismatic or either the game was brand new and you want to see what happens.
The sound effects + general insanity = better time ;)

There are so many sound effects I have that I tend to forget some of them unless I constantly use them. That one is a good one I should put into rotation. ;)

Lol when I did my run through, when I got to attack the castle, I found that you can stand behind a door way to the side, the ai has som weird AI about doorways with doors, even when it is open. Pretty much made it a shooting gallery. I saved a sir radzig though he wouldn’t move or talk to anyone. Lady Stephanie was no where to be found, my theory is that she is responsible coordinating the attack on her husband, both times. Kcd 2 will definitely have teresa will fight Stephanie.
That is interesting about the doorways that I have noticed too, but you sort of confirm that as well.
The AI seems to have to run all the way into the room before it can target you, not certain why, but seems to be a thing. In some towns you can abuse that to high heaven, but on that mission you mentioned, it can be top notch :P

I was caught, but the guards did not a stand a chance. I just stood on top of a box and threw rolled up paper balls at them till they left.
Also, I sold the alpha copy to some miller in Rattay, for a little bit of drinking money.

I was just thinking, that name is quite uncommon now-adays, well at least for any 20 and under. But heck yah badass grandmas are the best!
Great video ! Does anybody know if Mathew and fritz will respawn if they accidentally die....
I went with them to ambush Thomas that mill hand and beat him up but on the walk back to town we got attacked by cumans and they died lol.
I do not think so, you might want to re-load that save.
If you check your quest log, if you get failures for their quest to search for them, then they do not respawn. :(
I am not 100% certain on that, but they are quest bound and can die which usually leads to failures so I would say they stay dead.
@@helicalgoose thanks I never saw any quest fail when they died but i was in the heat of battle at the time. I'll have to live with it if they died as I've overwritten the save.
Yah, I believe they end up at the Inn in the Glade next so if you don't see them there then I think they are prema dead :(
The only thing I find that is interesting with them that may make you reconsider is that they do have the quest "Masquerades" which gives you the "Cuman outfit".
The armor is terrible, but it is a good fashion show if you're into that, but otherwise the missions can be funny or a bit dark towards the end.
Theresa can't wear armor bc that would be way too op

my thoughts about the czech dubbing as a Czech and massive kcd fan:
I was looking for an excuse to play this game again. But it felt like a waste of time. Thankfully they released the cz full range dub of the game for the 5th anniversary. So i poured 30 hours in it already. And let me tell you. Its briliant and extremely immersive, but only/mostly if you are a native speaker. Because they are using many words and phrases not common in czech language anymore. Not necessarily forgotten archaisms but a history-fiction book style of cz tongue. And it works remarkably well. They even included lot more cursing. Sometimes its too much and the curses feel too modern but it fits with the time.
If the original actors were 100% then the current hired talent is 90%. Sadly lot of the main characters have pretty boring voices, but the world around them is narrated amazingly. Full of life, beautiful tongues, so much pleasure listening to any side characters. I literally bursted out laughing many times over even small talk. Women narrators stand out a lot. Really elevates Theresa and Johankas stories. Both of them have such a lovely ring to them now. Love it! That's where they without a doubt surpassed the original. Both english and cz dub has its flaws and strong points. I personally like em both equally.
Aaand here comes the massive L of this project. Henry himself. His voiceactor has a beautiful voice ..... for audiobooks. But NOT ! for video games. He lacks all emotions in his voice. He is merely a shadow to Tom McKay (our boi) so disappointing. He also uses a relatively plain vocabulary. I guess they started with him and improved as they progressed. What saves him are the other characters.
Definitely give it a listen on twitch or yt mr.Helical to get an idea. Overall, god bless this dubbing and the people behind it. They were not part of Warhorse btw! (Funny thing to end this: there are 2 other games with amazing cz dub that everyone knows in CzechRep. ....Mafia 1 and Mafia 2. And Daniel Vávra created both of them. I guess its not a coincidence :P thx for reading)

That is an incredible amount of work for them to do for a game that is 5 years old.
This explains why they were hiring a bunch of voice actors (maybe?)
Who knows, but I am glad that it is really well done.
I sometimes play the German version and the voice acting is decent as far as I can tell. There are some things I do not understand which may be due to the uncommon phrase or slang that you were mentioning.
The Henry voice actor is hard to tell, but then again I am so use to hearing Tom McKay that everything else just sounds dull.
Its like comparing Brian Blessing to just about anyone else in voice acting and emotion, its just not fair :P
@@helicalgoose The intro and current update also prompted me to think about KCD 2. Truth be told i am not sure what to think. It took them 6 years in total to create KCD. Implying the same pace on the new game. Considering they were busy all of 2018. So starting in 2019 + 6 years of work = 2025 The waiting is real huh....
The über-optimistic scenario is: the game comes out one year from now. But i cant see it at all rn tbh

Honestly, I miss that game so much, but either the hackers or my skill has deteriorated over the years that I can not play it anymore.
I would ask for them to make TF3, but we know valve can't count to 3 :P

Ye I noticed that too. But Fritz has seen him without armor, so my guess is they have seen Cuman and both Matthew and Fritz ambushed him in the mine but in the dark they thought he looked like a demon.

The sad part is that I can't tell which is the more likely case.

If Sir Robard didn't come to save runt and his gang, Henry's KCD storyline would've played out quite a bit differently.

That bird sound is sooo versatile. One of the best KCD sound effects that only KCD players would recognize.
@@helicalgoose I only recently finally gotten back in to this game (thanks to you), and after hearing him make that sound, and then hearing it slowly grow in the background until a fucking evil story unfolds and it just fucking got me
this playthrough made me go back and play again because I realized hey- Im not the only one who kind plays like a psychopath but only in this game for some reason, brings out the mad henry in me seeing some poor wayfarer going about his way on a lone dirt path, and the bird caws in the distance
That and now my idea for half the characters are memes you created

And those stealthy sword jabs 🤌 but seriously, Warhorse Studio released a video today for the 5th anniversary and I saw comments from them, that there is still a lot of work to do. What I totally understand as a developer... if you strive for quality, you cannot rush it. And I believe it will be worth the waiting in this case. 🐎
Next major conflict in Bohemia was Hussite wars, which was major European conflict (Even Cumans in form of mercenaries fought in it on Knights side). If they truly work on hussite wars then it makes sense we will wait a long time because the map will move from center of Bohemia to either east or west and considering Crossbows were also the driving factor, they have to make lot of things.
I couldn't help but take a little poke at them ;)
Oh yah, I don't expect anything out of them for a couple more years. Maybe they will announce they have something in the works this year? But really, I think the smart thing is to not say anything unless you're done and just re-editing some quests.
Otherwise fans will be breathing down their neck non stop.
If the map is going to be that big, oh lord help us all. On hardcore mode getting lost in the middle of the forest on a map twice the size. offh.
And 16 years forward in time to get to the Hussites wars, that is a long ways. But who knows, I will be excited either way. :D
