Absolutely true about confirmation bias. But it's not true that one can't know what was used in many podium or medal elite performances. The teams are secretive but not super secretive. Also, while Segnor Mosele is great, this kind of feedback is still somewhat anecdotal. It would be much better to hear directly from the techies on the teams to be truly believable. Certainly Mosele is not unbiased himself just as we all carry biases. He would certainly carry a confirmation bias. Until I hear from other sources, I can't agree with your assessment that this has been validated at the highest levels. Maybe it has, maybe it hasn't. Finally, do you really think Mr. Caldwell, that testing wax on New England snow transfers to the European snows of the WC for instance. Not so sure about that.
