  • True Crime : The Story of Anna Hahn
    When Anna Filser, later known as Anna Hahn, moved to the U.S she quickly developed a habit for gambling. Needing cash to fund her addiction she soon began 'caring' for elderly gentlemen. Strangely, soon after taking on the task her clients would pass away. However she seemed to make a big impression on them in the short time she worked for them as they would often leave fortunes to her in their wills...

    Some of those men gave to her their lives savings, compelled by loneliness and fooled by sentiment they had blind faith in a smiling killer. The Navajo have a saying, something like, " A sheep will spend its entire life fearing the wolf only to be slaughtered by the Shepard". Never trust anyone!

      Living that way ,you may have all the money in the world, but you'll live and die alone. I try to live in a spirit of "willful naivete" I am aware how awful people can be. But I choose to take people at face value initially. I try to give them the basic human respect, I would like extended to me. They show their true colors soon enough!
      It helps that i'm dirt poor and have nothing of any worth to leave someone but a damn good dog! Now there's someone I can trust with my whole heart and soul!

      @primesspct2 I choose to live similarly. I feel like living with distrust and hatred towards your fellow human just drives a distance and separation within the community we're supposed to build with one another. I don't simply take people at first value, but I also don't immediately distrust and turn away. That doesn't help us, and only leads to more discourse within our species. We're social creatures, and we feed off of love.

    Just goes to show, don't trust anyone who wanders into your life wanting to be your friend. The older I get, if I was to become a widow, I would be very reluctant to seek a new companion because of the baggage they might bright bring into your life and and the potential for them looking to exploit your assets. Loneliness can usher in anything; good or bad. So beware of who visits you in your hour of desperation. Godspeed.

  • @johannahunderwood4596
    @johannahunderwood4596 4 месяца назад +5

    She wondered what had warped her mind and caused her to poison these men. It’s not that complicated Anna - it’s called “Greed”. Well, that, along with having no natural affection and being morally bankrupt. It is often mistakenly said that money is the root of all evil, but money is something that enables us to trade for goods instead of bartering, so money itself is benign. However, the scripture says that it is “THE LOVE OF MONEY” that is the root of all evil, and that is what Anna had in spades.

There's nothing I can do for him when he's being sick (loudly) so we closed the Living room door and I will never forget (or be alllowed to) saying "Turn the volume up, [Son], I can't hear The Smurfs over your da throwing up in there." 🫣🤣😏

    many young pregnant women were sent away ,shamed ,discarded by family members and community.
    This brutality , I believe made life hard a sucker punch for a pregnant woman without support.
    Circumstances of rejection will harden any heart.

    She says she is making no excuses but is clearly taking NO responsibility. I try to understand the person, look for humanity in them, but when they are taking no responsibility it shuts my heart and mind down to them.
