We were very saddened to learn of the passing of Vitaly Makukin, on the 29th of July 2021. His time at Down There Sessions will have left an indelible memory, both on a human and musical level. In addition to being immensely talented, Vitaly was a very modest person who showed incredible generosity when he spent two days with us in Morges, during his visit with Michel Karpa. He treated us as family. We are aware of how lucky we are to have had one of the great pillars and innovators of the guitar of the 21st century among us at the Manoir. Thank you Vitaly.
