  • Stylish Starter Family Tow Sports Boat….
There’s a reason why 17 to 18 feet bowriders make the most popular starter sports boats. It’s a size that both feels comfortable on the water and is also easy to manage off it. On a single axle trailer with an all-up weight of around 1,700kg, these boats can be easily towed by most family cars, they’re easy to manoeuvre in your driveway and on the slipway, and the boat is easy to launch and recover.
With room for 7 crew on board, a powerful and efficient motor, and a nice spacious layout this style of boat makes an excellent all-rounder whether you want to get into watersports with the kids or enjoy slower-paced family day trips.
This particular Maxum 1800 SR3 takes this proven and popular platform and adds an extra dash of style and watersports ability. With a sharp looking black hull, full fibreglass floor, extended swim platform, walk-through transom and factory wakeboard tower, this Maxum is a high class boat…
Fitted with the largest (and most sophisticated) engine option - the 220HP Fuel Injected Mercruiser 4.3L MPI - she also has lots of power on tap for carrying out all the family watersports duty even with a full load of crew onboard. The performance is effortless from the refined and fuel efficient motor.

This is a great boat, I own a Maxum 1900 SR2 without the tower but the same engine and stern drive unit. It's a great boat and can achieve 50 knots in the right conditions. Great fuel economy as well, can run it all day and only burn 15-20 gallons of fuel if you cruise at 25 knots or so.
