The Outsiders by S.E. Hinton is great for the nostalgia prompt. I remember feeling the same about those characters as I did about the stranger things characters. Its a great book. Josh and Hazels guide to not dating is great for the 2 people having fun together trope.
In terms of the 'what if?' book, I'd recommend Jane Unlimited by Kristin Cashore where a girl is faced with a bunch of different options and it shows the ramifications of each choice, including wild genre changes and outcomes. Loved it!
For the nostalgia recs I think most of Morgan Matson books fit the criteria. They make me so nostalgic for those carefree summers in middle & high school. The Summer of Broken rules is also a similar vibe! & for the silly goofy one I'd go out on a limb & say The Secret History lmao Richard almost dying from hypothermia is one of the sillies & goofiest scenes I've ever read but honestly the whole book is such a fun silly goofy time. & Five Survive by Holly Jackson for the whodunnit that feels like a game of clue!
another what if book is the bridge by bill kongsberg. 2 people meet on a bridge with the intent of ending their lives, there are 4 ways it can plan out that the book explores 1. person a jumps 2. person b jumps 3. they both jump 4. neither of them jump i haven't read it yet but i picked it up in waterstones.
for alternate story’s/what if scenarios read two summers!! it’s by aimee friedman, definitely YA, but a fun and cute romance story of a girl spending summer with her dad vs with her mom
here are some books with movie or tv sets, or generally about cinema :) loved the recommendations jaime!!! - we play ourselves, jen silverman - night film, marisha pessl - something to talk about, meryl wilsner - the startup wife, tahmima anam (partially!) - funny you should ask, elissa sussman - everything you ever wanted, luiza sauma (in the sense of the truman show, not so much the film industry, but it's there as a theme throughout) - love and other disasters, anita kelly - the charm offensive, alison cochrun - the falling in love montage, ciara smyth - everything leads to you, nina lacour - a show for two, tashie bhuiyan - i'll be the one, lyla lee
@@jaimeslibrary i think the main character visits locations that were used in the filmmaker's movies, it's not really a movie set in action from what i remember!
omg Miranda July is the best , i wrote about "No one belongs here more than you" (by her) in uni, thank you for reminding me of her ❤ also can't wait to read Boy Parts, currently on my tbr ❤
i love that we can always count on you for excellent recommendations 💖 blood sugar has been on my tbr for a while and i'm so excited to read it! and for the energetic goofballs recommendation i immediately thought of the score and then you literally held up the book two seconds later!! allie and dean are just superior x amazing video queen 💕
I've owned The Immortalists for over 2 years and this is the first time I've heard anyone talk about it!!! you talked about wisteria society forever ago and it's been on my radar ever since lol
adding you had me at hola to my tbr now, thank you!! i read the reunion by kayla olson recently which is a second chance romance on a tv set, i didn’t love the execution (gave it 3 stars) but i loved the trope!
In terms of "What If"-Books I'd like to recommend one of my all time faves "4321" by Paul Auster. It follows 4 alternative version of one boys life and examines how much in life is up to chance and circumstances. It's a long one but trust me its worth it. I've never felt more connected to a book character than to Archie Ferguson!
I haven't even read that many (if any) super weird gross unhinged novels, so I don't know if I like them, but I'm obsessed with the idea of them😌I always add them on goodreads when recommended
Here For The Right Reasons by Jodi McAlister is a book set on a TV set “Bachelor” type show but I thought I’d got that recommendation from you. Great recommendations in this vid thanks 🙌🏻
have you read the book, "the house next door" by anne rivers siddons ? my boyfriend's reading it and he seems to be enjoying it, like a haunted horror read. do you like horror genre ? thanks !
Hey Jaime!!! ❤️❤️ great video!!! I have a very random request. A book that has the main character talk to someone online for a while, likes them, and then meets them in lesson for the first time, but loses feelings and shows how she works through it. Any book come to mind?

Jamie love your amazing and fantastic channel just letting you know that with your next couple of videos I will not be commenting while I am getting over my mild heart attack so please forgive me love your Aussie family friend John ❤❤❤
