  • Violists Elias Goldstein and Christopher Lowry perform Johan Halvorsen's "Passacaglia, after Handel" as an encore at a Signature Recital at the 2014 Primrose International Viola Festival. The video was ripped straight from the live web stream, so there are some audio/video sync issues, but I fixed it as best as I could.
    Recorded live on June 14, 2014; Zipper Hall, Colburn School; Los Angeles, California

      Єгор Подкользін I think he wrote it wrong this piece is actually for violin and viola not two violas

      Actually, it's technically not even an arrangement; Elias is just playing from the violin part and making octave changes whenever necessary. I'm playing the second part as written, just with some different tricks and effects!
      There is, however, an arrangement for two violas done by Tertis (supposedly recorded by him and Primrose, though I cannot find the recording anywhere), published by Comus, but it is quite a bit more difficult.
