    As an older woman who grew up with classical music and country. Tina S has made me realise how musically talented top level Rock Guitarists are. Like WOW. They are on par with any classical musician/ composer in my book. Oh and Im absolutely in love with it too. Yeah

    I'm just so amazed at Tina's mastery of the guitar. I discovered her channel a few years ago and have watched all of her videos, and she kills in on every one. I've done some research on her and found some interviews , but there's not a lot of information available. The best I could come up with is that she went to business school in the south of Paris. I've seen a couple of pictures of her supposedly at her school, and she always has her guitar case near by, which gives me hope that she's staying with the guitar and hopefully we will hear more from her.

    Tina Setkic is an enigma. She stopped uploading videos about 5 years ago and no one knows for sure what has become of her since. Some have even speculated she was an alien child dropped on Earth to learn guitar and then was taken back to her home planet. LOL! Seriously, she did a cover of Through the Fire and Flames that was seen by Herman Li and his reaction was “OH SHIT!”

    This is her typical style. Subtle emotion, rarely looks at the fret board, makes everything look easy. You'll see and feel more emotion when you get into her later covers like For the Love of God, The Loner, and Altitudes. She also puts her own style on her covers so they're not note for note. She started studying classical guitar at the age of 6 before switching to electric at 13. She disappears from RUclips and social media at the age of 18. Lots of rumors as to why. There is a specific troll that keeps saying she died. Please ignore or ban him. He has no evidence to back it up and keeps changing his story. By the way, I like your approach of reacting from older to newer. You might want to go back and watch her cover of Eruption by EVH. It was her first cover and put her on the map. Loved your reaction and comments!

    She is my absolute favorite, not just because of her incredible skill, timing, and difficulty/song choices - but she feel the need to flail around and gyrate to show off her skill. She just plays her guitar…and lets her feelings and emotion show through that way. One piece she’s show a bit of emotion is her cover/upgrade of Steve Vai’s “For the Love of God”. Another that will blow you away is a classical piece. Check out her Beethoven Moonlight Sonata 3rd Movement, or her Vivaldi 4 Seasons tribute. Beethoven would approve. Those were done when she was much older… 17. She went away to school shortly after, and hasn’t posted since. She got her bachelors degree last year and is working on her masters, hopefully to return to wow us some more! We miss you Miss Tina.

    Tina S...the girl who launched 10 million guitars into the rubbish heap..... I pray to her now....Don't know if she'll ever come back...don't know that she needs to.....

    For the Love of God cover by Tina S

  • @hannuhedman5882
    @hannuhedman5882 2 года назад +1

    There is emotion in her playing but she seems to be very calm otherwise. When she did Jason Becker's super difficult "Altitudes", she even had to look at her guitar and one could see that there she had to focus a little more and that song is quite intensive. But that's a song that most professional guitarists could never play at all even decentlyI guess.. And she nailed it perfectly. Her cover of Gary Moore's "Loner" is quite emotional musically as well as her cover of Steve Vai's "For The Love of God" and Pink Floyd's "Comfortably Numb". Her guitar teacher said that she was a prodigy if I remember correct.

    Tina was trained from the age of 7 to play classical finger-style guitar. That is why she hardly looks at the fretboard, or doesn't make faces. She learned to read sheet music while playing, so, she had to learn to play by feel, not by looking at the fretboard! At 13 she received her first electric guitar, and over the next 4 to 5 years she published 16 killer guitar songs, all while going to high school and getting good enough grades to study science in university. During her university studies, she did not post anymore videos. She is now back on the music scene and has just released a DVD of music from her new band called 'Spin Twice'. I believe that if she makes music her choice of career, she will be one of the best players ever, if not THE best.

    At least you didn't go so far as to call her playing unemotional. When you train classically you often find all the stage theatrics a little bit unnecessary and even cumbersome. Like you said, plain black backdrop, just Tina, the guitar, and a phenomenal performance. When you're this good you don't have to sell anything. It would just take away from the raw genius of it.
