Zoo's will always be heavily debated. What I can tell you based off of people I talked to who either worked with the Budapest Zoo or are heavily invested in the topic, that the animals area treated to the best of their knowledge and capabilities here. Their mission is to show and educate about the different kinds of life our planet has and for kids, seeing the different kinds of animals up close helps with building empathy.
