Love your videos Si. Could watch you all day. You’re a great artist, videographer, and mudlarker. Keep up the good work.
Welcome home Si! It’s good to see you again. Hope your panning holiday was a success. You have some awesome ideas for resin. I have been watching a fellow, jedrek29, whose channel focuses on everything resin. He has some techniques with UV resin as well as pouring resin that you may find useful. I am on my way to check out the Thames fruit trees.
Cheers - Susan L.
Hi I would like to buy some garnets if possible
Magnets ? I've never seen the attraction 🍻
hahaha I see what you did there
Boom boom
Those tiny bubbles in the brass garnet tree make it look like it is snowing or raining really cool !!
Cheers!!
I was going to say if ypu wanted to get the bubbles from forming in your resin you should......and than saw gow real cool it looks, exactly like you said
All of those e-cigarettes😭 nice of you to clean them up! ❤️ the trees!
Thanks Amie! 👍🏻🐾🧡
*_The filming technique really makes it POP._*
Love the little cherry tree! So clever! Good job, Si!😀
Thanks!!!
the magnet is a very clever idea. I have a heavy duty medical magnet from my research days that will likely find its way into my bag when I return to London !!
Gosh Si, your "fruit tree" creation was just lovely! I can imagine the fine bubbles represent rain or maybe snow.
Yes! I love the bubbles too! 👍🏻🐾🧡
@@Sifinds I think the cost is around $29.00 in US dollars, correct? I think I really want one of these for my kitchen window sill!
Maybe there could be a Thames Clean Up Day where magnets are used by volunteers! Surely that scrap could be recycled! Or a barge could be brought in with one of those giant car magnets to clean up the really bad areas. Anyway, I think your idea will encourage others to try it as well!
But it’s history. Why would you want to wipe it away? Ok imagine if a child went down there. He asked his Dad what these nails were used for? And he said they were used for ship building etc…. That kid has learned something. Not everything needs to be cleaned up ✌🏻
@@Sifinds I do agree that not everything needs to be cleaned up. It would be nice if some more of it could be though. You demonstrated perfectly how a lot of excess could be picked up while still leaving valuable history behind.
I would be saving the old nails and reusing them in a project, actually using them as nails, but I love how you repurpose things and save things. I also love seeing the cool things you find. Keep it up!
Or making them into jewelry.
Thanks! 👍🏻🐾🧡
Ypu can buy some from his etsy shop, links in description
Good stuff, Simon! Did you know "garnet apple" is another name for a pomegranate?
Not used much today, but fits the age of the materials.😆
Very cool! I had been thinking these looked more like pomegranate trees than apple trees, then suddenly here is your comment linking the two.
That tree is amazing 👏
Cheers Mudlover!
Love Sundays and watching you and Nic on the big screen. Just cast from my phone to the TV and the history comes to life on the big screen!!
19:47 at spot the find, a coin to the left between the rocks on it's edge. Found it yet Si found a marble! 😂🤣
Great idea using the magnet Si !!
Cheers badger
I love the information you provide with your funds. Thank you! If you hit your wet resin with some heat, fire lighter, heat fun on low setting, etc, those micro bubbles will go away giving your Cherry/apple trees a more clear setting.
Thanks but I love the bubbles. Reminds me of old glass
Your resin trees are modern "Tramp art" --- art made from found items. Love it.
Wow, the cherry tree is awesome. The garnet color came through so pretty. Great idea!
Those old pipes would be good to make a nice wind chime🎶. 👍😁
Yeah done that. Check the linked video
Great idea with the magnet! And Nelson steals the show again! What a sweetie. Love your garnet appletree!
Thanks so much!!!
So nice to see you out with Nick and Monika! Congrats to Elizabeth.
Cool larking again. The magnet slow mos were great! I like what you made with the garnets, nail and pins.
Simon, this video was a pure pleasure from beginning to end! Just when I thought I'd seen everything, you pull out that magnet and make crazy Road Warrior piles of nails, lol! Thank you for always starting my Sunday morning off right!
Aw thanks Jane!
Morning simon,
Ñails,nails, and more nails!
No chance of finding 400 year old coins on our foreshores !
You're the Bees Knees ! when it comes to your art/ upcycling .
Well done Simon removing them E smokes from the thames .
Thanks for the tag along .
From the land of the Kiwis.
I like the sand crystals in your tree art -- just lovely!
I love the idea of using a magnet to get a lot of the metal out of your way and the resin Garnet tree is just fantastic
LOVE the wee trees!
Thanks, Si - you’re a fount of fascinating information, and I love your artwork. Thanks for inspiring me.👍🏼
Thanks so much 👍🏻🐾🧡
Brilliant idea with your magnet on the foreshore. Always amazes me when you find the tiniest items in all the muck!!! Love a NELSON cameo 🐱🐈🐾
I loved that stone with the keyhole shape - maybe it's the opening to a secret portal!
Yes just got to find the right key now. Lol
Thank you Si for maki g my life bearable with all the B.S. I'm dealing with. You are loved and appreciated!
Thank you! 😊👍🏻👣🧡
Wonderfully creative Artistic imagination you have Si . Beautiful Thames Apple Trees . Loved this video .
Thanks Anne!!
So your creativity never ceases to amaze me!!! The trees are fantastic!!
I like the shot of the magnet lifting up the iron, it looks like something off an old sci-fi movie !
Great idea, using the magnet. I like the old pins and copper nails. Love your Thames Cherry tree! Thanks Si, have an awesome week.
I was looking at your Apple trees on eBay. Brilliant! I especially loved seeing the one fallen “Apple” on the ground. I love garnets, have a gazillion I found in a brook on the property where I grew up, but sadly the shipping costs are a bit high for me in the US.
Oh my, the garnet cherry tree is amazing Simon -I absolutely love it!
Thanks so much Maarina!!! 👍🏻🐾🧡
Hello Simon 👋 a smaller version of your garnet tree art would make a lovely pendant! 😍 you are such a talented artist with your treasures from the thames. Be well from Washington state, USA
Hmm, maybe you should think of getting a sweeping magnet. It's basically a rolling magnet bar to pick up nails and bits, usually used here by roofers to pick up lost shingle nails.
Absolutely love the resin art!
Loved your "cherry trees". Great idea!
Thank you! 😊👍🏻👣🧡
You found the plug for the River Thames.....LOL!!!! The cherry trees are magical.
The cherry tree was a perfect result. Congratulations!
brilliant use of the magnets!
as far as im concerned, in my mind all those old keys unlocked chastity belts lol. makes for an interesting backstory lol.
oooohhhhh that german hammered is AWESOME!
with the bubbles the trees look like apple trees in a rainstorm.
congrats to elizibeth!!!
Wendy makes awesome jewelry! I have several of her items thanks to you! Two of her padlock necklaces, a matching bracelet and a marble necklace. I love them all!
I love the trees. The garnets look lovely with the light shinning through them
I love what you created with the pins and agates and nail. I simply love it 🥰🌸🤗🌺
Just watched this before England 🏴 play. Lovely video. Thank you
The mirco buckle might actually be off dolls clothing.
I always look forward to your videos. You never disappoint.
Love the cherry trees. What a lovely idea.
Fantastic art tree - Love the tiny bubbles trapped within the piece - they complement the artifacts. Keep them coming x😊
Cheers Debbie 👍🏻🐾🧡
Simon great workmanship. You are truly a talented artist…. Congratulations….
Thanks so much!!
The little garnet tree is gorgeous!!❤️
Those geese are stunning. Those colors are incredible and they just stood there looking at you filming them. Awesome finds in this one as well Si. Keeps vids coming bc we over here across the pond love them.
Keen Idea using the magnet. I thought the iron stuck to the magnet was beautiful. You might think about making a photo montage of of them. Thames Iron flowers or such.
Great video as usual.😀
Si your tree project is seriously cute! See you next video.
Love from the old lady in Texas may God bless you❤ always
Cherry tree is absolutely beautiful.
I’m glad you saw those ecigs. They are poisonous and don’t need to be in the water. I love the garnets you found and Nelly!
This new piece of art is wonderful.
thankyou si-finds for a great time mud larking. always look forward for your vids.
Thank you! 😊👍🏻👣🧡
The brass tube looks very similar to the old lipstick tubes we find on old beaches dating from the 40's
That's a neat idea and the bubbles makes it look like it's raining. You need to light it from the bottom!
Another very creative project that turned out beautifully, Si!
I love those little garnets. They are so pretty. What a great idea 🥰
I couldn’t tell you why but this has been my favorite video so far and I’ve watched at least 70% of your videos. Frankly, I am inexplicably obsessed and I have no idea how I even ended up discovering mudlarking haha! I will say, digging around on the Thames foreshore is now #1 on my bucket list!! Send love and luck all the way from California!! 💖
I love those trees! The bubbles look like snow!
Great idea to use a magnet. You can recycle the nails. The copper ones could bring in some money. You can melt them for jewlery making .Great finds!
Magnets and the camera work is awesome. The geese are beautiful and the really bad dad jokes 🙃 are really bad lol. Those padlocks I want them plus the cherry trees are fabulous, great creative idea Si 😉
People have no sense nowadays, just throw things away Willy-milky with no consideration. I love those old keys. Don’t pull that plug, Si! Great hammered coin, awesome find. Your tree is beautiful. Will you let us know if that is really a stylus?
Congratulations to Elizabeth Linder 👏💐
Thank you for another cool video. Seeing Nelson was a treat, he's beautiful! Love from S.Africa
Amazing Si, your imagination is wonderful! Luv it, luv your vlogs.

That is AWESOME,those garnets really stand out!!
Oh how I love the garnet tree! It’s beautiful!
Love the trees, wonderful.
Beautiful art!
Lovely finds. Thanks, Si.
Just love the cherry trees!
When you were picking up the e-cigs I did get a chuckle as you were saying who would throw trash in the Thames. Wonder if those gents who threw in their pipes hundreds of years ago thought of that? Of course we know better now, and as you said, the e-cigs are harmful to the environment and are no future treasure. The garnet tree came out lovely.
Thank you! 😊👍🏻👣🧡
Mud!!! Fun first thing in the morning. Thanks Si Blessings
