I first found this song as a child and it had a music video of a little girl and her family going through the trauma of war and getting slowly stripped away from her “perfect family” and it would make me cry everytime….. that being said I had it on loop for a solid 3 months when I first found the video

Honestly, Bombs on Monday Morning is one of my favorite Melanie Martinez songs. Hands down.
I hope she releases a demos album at some point because sometimes her unreleased songs are better than many of the released ones.
She won’t. Pretty much all of her leaked songs are scrapped, and she’s completely done with them.

I first heard bombs on monday morning on a RUclips short, it was only the beginning, but being the Melanie fanatic that I am, I could tell it was her voice. I looked it up, and this is now my favourite of her unreleased songs. I don't think it's fair listening the songs before the albums are released, but after the album is released, I will listen to the songs that didn't quite make it.

I am pretty sure this song is about cancer because of:
1: “Pinky promise ill still love your garden even with no flowers” instead of garden with no flowers its a head with no hair
2: “Doctors orders dont be brokenhearted” doctors orders to get chemotherapy
3:”Never though that something something so tragic could ever happen to our peaceful little family” no need to explain
4: “Waiting for the news together an explosion any moment” shows the family waiting for the news of whether or not their family member is gonna die
5: And “bombs are falling” symbolizes something tragic happening, in this case: cancer

I didn't want to listen to this song since it was one of her unreleased songs, but now that I listen to it it makes me emotional. Since a lot of my family members went to hospitals/mental hospitals. Even though I'm pretty sure this song is about losing someone it's still reminds me of the situations my family has been in.
