Ah trapped in beautiful Cornwall land of clotted cream and real pasties and my last home, in the UK before emigrating to Canada in 1967. I'm posting on my wife's account as I am just recovering from a HD crash so lost a lot of data etc. Good to have you guys back on the cut. The volunteers on the locks seemed to make for a great experience .It was also nice to see the roof garden looking so colourful at this time of the year. We are in the midst of our Fall colours absolutely mind bending..So Fran and Rich take care happy cruising and Rich I'll totally ignore your remarks regarding Scotland.! *grin* Cheers from Canada and Ralphh wood
Went to St Ives with my future wife, first and last trip. Loved it. Up at the crack of dawn, Took 39 landscape photos with my new Zenit 35 mm until I realized I had no film in my camera ! Love you guys, and 'Padduwl 'pronunciation by Fran, I call them 'Padduls' being from Stoke ! haha ! Brilliant as ever!
We had the chance to go (at last) cruising for two weeks on the Grand Union Canal, and we saw your boat moored by Bridge 33 & 34 on the Leicester stretch. We went absolutely bananas looking for you everywhere, trying to spot the dogs, or Frances gathering plants, but nothing… Didn’t matter at the end but we felt privileged to be able to spot Laura Maisie when we have been RUclips followers from the very first Vlog. Life is weird. Take care 🇫🇷🤝🇬🇧
Bev & Andy here, we just bought our 1st narrowboat 60ft, never cruised the cut before, probably take me all day to get out of the marina, omg, I will be following your vids, take care guys.
So do you two wake up every morning and pinch yourself to make sure this great life adventure you are on is not just a dream? How many people get to take a holiday from their everyday holiday life. Good for you. I can't think of any other couple who deserve this great adventure you are on. Again thanks for sharing and fair locks.....
Thanks for a lovely vlog, it looks like you and the doggies had a great time in Cornwall. It looks like a beautiful place at Foxton Locks, I'm looking forward to the adventures on the Oxford. Take care and all the best. Stevie
Glad you enjoyed your vacation and the locks were so interesting! Those volunteers are amazing!!! Love your gardening with the dogs as well! The canal stoppages look crazy from the foxes posts about it. Have fun and happy travels to you!
Beautiful Cornwall the scenery is fantastic been there seen that, and Foxton locks a big adventure, but a long way to go to make the begining of a vlog, ha ha. Great to see you two again, your stop in Leicester was great i lived there 19 years. so much to see thanks for the memories but you can go back again and see things you did not have time to explore 48 hour mooring are not long enough. Look forward to your next vlog stay well and safe. Ed 40 S of Vegas
Beautiful! Cornwall AND the top of the Foxton Locks. You two have been really chill since you sold the cottage and now you look 10 years younger. Stay happy, it’s great to see! Thanks for sharing.
Great to see you again on the cut. I could imagine Foxton being a bit daunting but you managed it easily. We saw the Welford arm recently on FoxesAfloat and that will probably be our ‘shakedown cruise’ when we eventually take command of Silver Fox early part of next year. 👍
A video about happiness. There are some key points about Foxton locks, so the fog is clearing to the extent that from your explanation I now have an overview. Many cold crisp walks and cosy nights to look forward to on the Oxford. I hope your happiness floats with you.
Lovely to see you both it’s nice to get away and see family especially in these times we are in we never know if we my have lock down again you both look well see you both next time keep safe
When I was a kid...many years ago.....I lived with my parents about 10 miles away in the county of Rutland....our mums would make us some jam sandwiches and a group of us lads would go on our bycycles and go gongoozelin...this was about 60 years ago...happy days.
Hi Guys, back to watching blogs, we sold our boat NB Dogs Allowed, I am missing it like crazy, so could to see your exploits again. Hope the new boat is working out well.
Lovely Just .. I used to love Cornwall 60 years ago when my teenage mates & I camped down there. - Fran - I hope that you eat the Nasturtium Flowers too as they are even nicer than the leaves, with a touch of nectar
Hi Fran & Rich, beautiful video! I watched with my 3yr old granddaughter, wish I could give it 2 thumbs up for us both! Of course she loved seeing the doggies. 😊 So happy for you to get to spend time with your son Fran. You both look very well, been missing seeing you both. Just seen your video about The Regents Canal, brought back happy memories. I used to work at the Canal Museum, volunteered one/two days a week, plus that stretch between Little Venice and Camden is the route I used to guide walks for the IWA, London Walks group. The history of that stretch is fascinating. Sorry you picked up so much rubbish on the prop; did you manage to visit the museum, not just about canals but the ice trade. Ice brought over from Norway, stored and distributed from there. Keep up the good work with the videos, best regards, Phil H
Great to see you once again Laura Maisie is looking as sleek as ever. Life on the canals must be really suiting you because you are both looking healthy and I swear younger as well. I'm glad you enjoyed your stay in Cornwall, it's one of my most favourite places in the country. All the best. Stephen
