So cute 😍!
I am super happy that I found this channel. “Wish to be Irish” could be name of my band
I am a history teacher and middle ages were beautiful
Love this video from this Irish American from Pennsylvania!!🇮🇪
Greetings Pennsylvania! So glad you enjoyed!
Possibly one of the most beautifully produced videos I have seen in a very, very long time. Job well done!
How have I only just seen this? This was so cute omg
I can't wait to see you guys in the summer!
We have 9 bandmates now and perform in different combinations every afternoon at Enchanted Forest during the summer. In this video, the original band is performing and Samantha Owings who plays Marie in the video and Tim Ward who plays the groom are 2 of our extremely talented newer bandmates. Hope to see you this summer!
This was so adorable and sweet!
Thank you! Next one coming up in about a month is our comic version of Drunken Sailor, so that takes us in a whole different direction again.
Actually, this is a Scottish folk song from the Hebrides - not Irish. It was originally written in Scots Gaelic, which is basically a
northern dialect of Irish.
Great to know! Thanks for sharing with us.
Beautiful maiden as beautiful as Finduilas of dol Amroth
This is a great little channel, I feel that the youtube algorithm hasn't been treating it fairly, how does it have less than a thousand subscribers and so few views considering how many well made its music videos are.
Thanks for the words of support!
traditional scottish sang....one of many adopted by irish bands
The English Country dance to this song is really fun too!
So true! At gigs, this is the song most often danced to, and a lot of people seem to know the English Country dance.
The girl playing Marie is beautiful 👄
Is that guy who’s singing wearing Pictish war paint?
Nope. Just his own artistic creation that day. Everyone did their own face art.
This is a traditional Scots tune
Mairi's Wedding is a Scottish song
Peter Dunlop Yes and the Scots are actually the old Irish - Brogue vs Lilt - Irish Gaelic asterisk to the right- Scottish Gaelic asterisk to the left- Splet the same!
@@kathyborthwick6738LakotaEmoji scots are not old irish.
@@brucecollins4729 okay ✨🔥🎸👋🏾
Reminds me of seven kingdoms
ANOTHER GREAT VIDEO GOOD JOB
Thanks! This was so much fun...and freezing cold when we were dancing outside!
Cén mhí a bhí ann?
Who did the fantastic face paint?
Everybody basically did their own or band members painted on each other. We just hand fund with it. What I remember most about that day was it was freeeeeezing cold.
I like this fairy tale💃🏼🌈
you should do "what do we do with a drunken sailor"!!
Our dream is to rent a sailing ship and then we will film the "real" version. We do it in performance at most venues.
Yes, you did this song yesterday at the Enchanted Forest (but you slightly changed the words to make it more "family friendly" as they say).
are these guys really from Ireland?
From Oregon in the United States, just Irish at heart.
I like better than the wiggles version!!!
You forced that little girl, didn't you?
