High School Musical: How Drew Seeley REALLY Feels About Singing for Zac Efron! (Exclusive)
/ enews - Развлечения
Who was shocked? REAL HSM fans BEEN knowing this and we always gave credit and appreciated Drew's beautiful singing. Y'all who didn't know are late af and not real fans. Js what it is.
I've known since day 1 and I find this tribalism weird. It's HSM ... you sound like someone who was born while the movies were coming out and retroactively became a fan thru reruns
Zac’s singing voice was under developed at the time so they blended their vocals. Drew’s voice is heard heavily in the first movie but in certain parts u can hear Zac’s voice. But Drew did do the concert so in the end it worked out
Yeah, during “Breaking Free” at the beginning, that’s Sac songing
@@robertpalatsky5017And Start of something new, also at the beginning.
I believe Drew wrote on Get your head in the game, and sung the demo, and they felt no reason to discard it. Drew’s voice is very similar to Zacs so that also make it work out
I was friends with Andrew back in the early 2000’s. I was happy that he made it to Hollywood and got his big break because he really wanted it badly back then. I know it wasn’t the way I’m sure he thought it would be but we were all still really proud of him! He always had an incredible voice and I’m glad he eventually became respected for it by the world!
Yall are late. Drew murdered it with the vocals in that movie❤
TY! All this people are LATE AF
You frightened me. I read that as Drew was murdered. I was like WHAT? When! Why!
@@truthseeker9249 😂
@@fsd2696 yes I am quite stupid.
@@truthseeker9249you’re not alone ,I was gagged too….
I knew this for YEARS. IT'S OBVIOUS
They used drew's seeleys voice because kenny ortega didnt believe zac could sing the songs but zac was good for the character so they got one actor to be the character and another to sing for the character not every one person will be capable of doing both so you get two to do two different things
He sang all his own singing parts in hsm 2 and hsm 3. He still sang in the first hsm movie a little bit.
@@samanthadancelover they arent talking about the 2nd and 3rd film they are speaking of the first film and only doing the first lines and very last lines dont count those weren major nor difficult
true but they couldve just gotten a person that could do both
@@kidrobot. thats true but you know how hollywood is they want someone highly good looking more so than talented to be honest
Fun fact up until recently they did this with the Disney princess too. Someone voiced the music and another voiced the songs.
Even when I was younger, the whole story of it being Drew and Zac’s voices “blended together” seemed kind of off to me. It was always clearly Drew singing 98% of Zac’s lines, with Zac throwing in words here and there in the first movie lol. I think the most Zac actually sings in the first movie is the intro to Breaking Free and then his voice changes to a whole other person after that 😅
Wow! Seriously, I had no idea! 🤯
Late
U serious ? 😅
Sarcasm as it’s finest
Same
Happy Birthday Drew Seeley!!!🎂🧁🎊🎉
I mean Disney did admit that High School Musical was suppose to be a One time DCOM when it became an unexpected smash hit that's when Disney expand upon it
I didn’t think it was going to blow up as well.
Drew should've been casted on Glee.
Same Story with Loren Allred who sang Never Enough, but never was playing in the Movie of „The greatest Showman“ herself.
Loren
I never knew that
The movie was The Greatest Showman.
I always taught that the music was made ahead of casting and that Drew's voice fits the range of the song and that Zac's voice is lower than the intended octave(?) (I dont know music terms)
Well they cast Monique Coleman who was in her Twenty's as the love interest for 15/16 Corbin Bleu 👀. Wasn't Selena underage in A Cinderella Story 2 ? If so Drew didn't have a issue with that 👀.
I forget monique was 26 playing a teenager in hsm
Yeah and Trina played Angela in BMW when she was much older.
@@36MIKET Trina's gloats about this on Tiktok and majority of the comments applaud her while a few rightfully called her out ....just nasty.
@@JadenCarter-be4fg well that was my favorite show growing up and they mainly developed their relationship when Rider was an adult.
@@36MIKET but the relationship started when he was a minor . The casting people should've casted a young black girl not an adult & Trina shouldn't have auditioned .
The reason why was because Zac didn't really know how to sing just yet but after hearing there was a second movie he got lessons from what I had heard
Romans 10:13
For “whoever calls on the name of the LORD shall be saved.”
OMFGGG!!! No idea literally!
Late
I cant with the puns in this😅👏🏽
He was talking about how he was 6 years younger than Vanessa, which he found weird... but in Another Cinderella Story he was 10-12 years older than Selena????? 🤨
*Also Zac does sing certain parts in the first one. You can hear the voice difference, especially in the Breaking Free performance.*
Yea Drew and Selena were 10 years apart, she was 16 and him 26 in that Cinderella film, which carried alot of controversy. Maybe there wouldnt be a HSM2 or 3 as Vanessa wasn't legal when the first one came out if she costarred with a 24yo as her love interest
This is not a secret. I’ve known this since 2006
I feel like everyone already knew this especially when they did the Live movie, however I don’t think he wasn’t Troy Bolton because he was older irl because he was cast as Selena Gomez’ love interest and she was only like 15, it never looked weird though so that can’t be it.
Apparently, the reason was because the songs written for the first movie had required Zac to have a higher voice range… Which he didn’t have
Zac did sing in parts for the first movie, it was mixed with Drews parts.
It wasn’t mixed. Zac’s voice was only used for the first lines of two songs. The rest was all Drew.
Every kid knew that back then. People are late
I heard it I thought it was a rumor but now I know it's true
Well Zac is also must more famous than the rest of the cast. Doesn’t leave much room for them hanging 1 on 1
The Milli Vanilli of the 2000 alongside Jeniffer Lopez
I knew this long time ago. Even tho hsm has been my favorite franchise. It always made me mad they'll choose looks over talent. Good thing Efron made sure work on his singing skills for two other movies
Real HSM fans already knew this and the reason Drew's voice was used was because Zack's voice couldn't hit the notes so for the next two movies they wrote songs for his vocal range.
I think the reason why Drew sang for Zac is because Zac couldn’t sing too high back then. But that’s what i thought I heard.
It is that. Troy's parts in the songs weren't in Zac's register until HSM2.
@@k90001 oh okay thanks! It’s just weird that Drew didn’t know why.
Least enthusiastic read of a script ever. Come on ET - put some emotion into it
There are definitely parts where Zac is singing in the first film tho, which is why it’s so jarring.
Unfortunately, that isn’t true. For continuity of the film, they used Drew’s singing voice for all sung parts. A bit disrespectful to both of them but the thing became a hit so it is what it is.
@@willybeama1 Zac is 100% singing the first line in Breaking Free, when he continues after Vanessa’s part it’s a different person (Drew). This happens in a few other parts too.
@@lufflyness I don’t care enough to…
@@willybeama1 Ok
Barely.
he's trying to cope and soften tbe blow. he wouldn't be saying any of this if he was chosen
Drew was hurt but took it on the chin. All of us who know Drew were equally as shocked but the past is the past now. At least he was a part of something truly great.
I loved it, he made the songs so much better. Zac's vocals aren't as strong.
Haibooooo
Why are they just now saying it was him everyone knew Zac wasn’t singing …
We knew since the beginning like you twenty years late E! Drew sounds better anyway.
Interesting
Hash what out.....................................................................
U shouldn't told us 😢
It was no secret tho, he even joined the main cast on tour instead of Efron 😂
WE ALL KNEW. YEARS AGO. YOU LATE.
Umm this was known already then, so what's the fuss now?
do you guys need a new voice over person? this guy sounds so sleepy
Oh, so he said absolutely nothing. Cool.
This is an awful voiceover oh my gosh
