Hello Guys,
Since childhood, I wanted to visit this place. After watching those Chinese & Hollywood movies Shaolin Temple or Shaolin Kung Fu became a bucket list.
The Shaolin Monastery also is known as the Shaolin Temple, is a Chan Buddhism temple in Dengfeng, Henan Province, China. Believed to have been founded in the fifth century, the Shaolin Temple is the main temple of the Shaolin school of Buddhism to this day.
Located 90 kilometres west of the city of Zhengzhou, the Shaolin Monastery and its Pagoda Forest at Shaolin Temple were inscribed as a World Heritage Site in 2010 as part of the "Dengfeng."
In 495 AD, Shaolin temple was built among the Song mountains in Henan province. The first monk who preached Buddhism there was the Indian monk named Buddhabhadra, simply called Batuo by the Chinese. There are historical records that Batuo's first Chinese disciples, Huiguang and Sengchou, both had exceptional martial skills. For example, Sengchou's stability with the tin staff is even documented in the Chinese Buddhist canon. After Buddhabadra, the monk Bodhidharma, described as either Central Asian or Indian and simply called Damo by the Chinese, came to Shaolin in 527 AD. His Chinese disciple, Huike, was also a highly trained martial arts expert. There are hints that these first three Chinese Shaolin monks, Huiguang, Sengchou, and Huike, may have been military men before entering the monastic life.

First of all, Bikki is right that Gautam Buddha was born in Lumbini in Nepal, spread his teachings in India and that later spread to other parts of China and elsewhere in Asia as well. Second and more importantly, it doesn't matter where he was born or died, it matters what the principles of his teachings are. One of the big ones is ahinsa, i.e. non-violence and your comment has implied aggression. Our Nepalese and Chinese brothers share a long history with us - Everest, Kailash, Mansarovar, Buddhism. 1. Many mordern day Hindus criticize the Varna Vyavastha including people in the political Hindu right. Also the idea of Buddhism being against Varna Vyavastha is completely farcical. Most Buddhist priests in ancient times came from Upper caste families and Buddha himself was a Kshatriya. There is a shocking lack of record of Dalit disciples studying Buddhist scriptures which may lead us to believe that they were not permitted to do so.
2. The idea that Buddhism is "agnostic" and Hinduism is "Theist" is also farcical. If you study Hindu scriptures you will realize that there are many Vedic Hindu schools of thought that are atheistic (Samkhya, Yoga, Mimamsa). Meanwhile, Buddhism can also be theistic in certain schools (Japanese buddhists having gods such as Kangiten, Benzaiten, Son Goku etc).
Bodhidharma founded "Dhyan" buddhism, which became "Chan" in China, and "Zen" in Japan. His guru was Nagarjuna, the composer of the famous Lotus Sutra. Thats why in China, Korea and Japan the Lotus Sutra is studied extensively and along with Buddha's Tripitaka, forms the core Buddhist scripture.

I had an opportunity to visit this Shaolin temple. Saw the Bodhi Darman statue, GREAT. I have already watched the Tamil movie "Eelam Arivu" the story of Bodhi Darman and I enjoyed this temple visit, an Indian Tamil is being worshipped in China. Chinese called him "Dhaamu". That is why the Chinese President visited Mahabalipuram, Kanchipuram, Tamilnadu, India to witness the earlier kingdom of Bhodhi Darman. All credit goes to Movie Director A.R. Murugadoss. Otherwise, nobody knows about Bodhi Darman and the history. Professor T. Nataraja Moorthy

The shaolin was so stupid before dharma arrived. Guru Dharma motivated shaolin to be the strongest temple in China. Even the dynasty king has to say sorry to shaolin. Until now, Dharma is still recorded as the strongest monk in China. He is a legend.

Bhai log Mai samajhta hoon, Hindi aur Baaki regional languages ka kaafi zyada importance hai, kyonki usse humare ek bahot gehra rishta aur lagaaw hota hai. But hume ye nahi bhoolna chahiye ki India mein English ko bhi kaafi importance milta hai, ye ek bahot achchhi baat hai.
Kyonki English duniya ki most spoken language hai, Foreign Companies aur Investors ke liye Indian Company owners aur Entrepreneurs se communicate karna aur unse deal karne mein kaafi aasani hoti hai. For example, Customer Care ka jo sector hai, uspar aaj India raj karta hai kyonki India mein English speakers ki sankhya bahot zyada hai. US, UK etc mein agar aap Customer Care ko call lagayenge, to call seedhe ek Indian Call Centre mein hi forward ho jaata hai. Foreign Tourists ko bhi India mein utni language problem nahi aati hai, kyonki English widespread hai. Iske alawa, kyonki India mein bahot saari languages boli jaati hain, isliye English ek tarah se India mein Connecting Language ki tarah kaam karti hai, jisse humare desh mein unity maintained rehti hai.
Aur waise bhi ek extra language seekhne mein kya harz hai. Usse aapko khud bhi confidence aayega ki aap duniya mein kayi jagah jaakar logo se baat kar sakenge, unko samajh sakenge. English seekhne se humare desh ko bahot faayda ho raha hai, chahe aap maane ya na maane.
India mein English ko jo importance milti hai, wo jaayaz hai aur aage chalkar isse humaare desh ko bahot faayda bhi milega. Sochiye, China mein kewal 1% log hi English bol paate hain, wahin India mein 20% log English bol paate hain. Future mein India iska bahot badhiya tareeke se fayda utha sakta hai foreign companies aur Investors ko attract karne ke liye, jisse humare development aur growth badehgi aur hum bhi China ke paas pahuch sakte hain, development ke maamle mein.

To all the Indians here, Shaolin temple is a story of Buddhist resilience against bandits, dacoits, invasions and oppressive governments. The Shaolin monastery has been destroyed several times but it's the resilience of Buddhist monks there which got it rebuilt time and again. Hence, the kung fu is not a sports, it has been a need for the Buddhist monks to be safe in order to practice their Dharma, Dhayana and the path of Buddha... The same values of Dharma that we all as Indians adore and abide by. This resilience is something we should learn from Buddhist monks of Shaolin and incorporate when we rebuild Nalanda and our great Viharas and monasteries hopefully one day in near future.
Basically bodhidharma taught them self defense and the practice continued

हमारे देश भारत में 3000 साल पहले एक बहुत बड़े ऋषि हुये थे ;

उनका नाम था *महा-ऋषि वाग्भट जी !!*
उन्होने एक पुस्तक लिखी थी
जिसका नाम है *अष्टांग हृदयम्!!*
*(Astang hrudayam)*
और इस पुस्तक में उन्होंने ने
बीमारियो को ठीक करने के लिए *7000* सूत्र लिखे थे !
यह उनमें से ही एक सूत्र है !!
वाग्भट जी लिखते है कि कभी भी हृदय को घात हो रहा है !
मतलब दिल की नलियों मे blockage होना शुरू हो रहा है !
तो इसका मतलब है कि रक्त (blood) मे acidity(अम्लता ) बढ़ी हुई है !
अम्लता आप समझते है !
जिसको अंग्रेजी में कहते है acidity !!
*अम्लता दो तरह की होती है !*
एक होती है *पेट कि अम्लता !*
*और एक होती है रक्त (blood) की अम्लता !!*
आपके पेट मे अम्लता जब बढ़ती है !
तो आप कहेंगे पेट मे जलन सी हो रही है !!
खट्टी खट्टी डकार आ रही है !
मुंह से पानी निकाल रहा है !
और अगर ये अम्लता (acidity)और बढ़ जाये !
तो hyperacidity होगी !
और यही पेट की अम्लता बढ़ते-बढ़ते जब रक्त मे आती है तो रक्त अम्लता (blood acidity) होती !!
और जब blood मे acidity बढ़ती है तो ये अम्लीय रक्त (blood) दिल की नलियों में से निकल नहीं पाता !
और नलियां मे blockage कर देता है !
तभी heart attack होता है !! इसके बिना heart attack नहीं होता !!
और ये आयुर्वेद का सबसे बढ़ा सच है जिसको कोई डाक्टर आपको बताता नहीं !
क्योंकि इसका इलाज सबसे सरल है !!
चिकित्सा क्या है ??
वाग्भट जी लिखते है कि जब रक्त (blood) मे अम्लता (acidity) बढ़ गई है !
तो आप ऐसी चीजों का उपयोग करो जो क्षारीय है !
आप जानते है दो तरह की चीजे होती है !
*अम्लीय और क्षारीय !!*

अब अम्ल और क्षार को मिला दो तो क्या होता है ! ?????

*neutral*
होता है सब जानते है !!
तो वाग्भट जी लिखते है !
*कि रक्त की अम्लता बढ़ी हुई है तो क्षारीय(alkaline) चीजें खाओ !*
तो रक्त की अम्लता (acidity) neutral हो जाएगी !!!
और रक्त मे अम्लता neutral हो गई !
तो heart attack की जिंदगी मे कभी संभावना ही नहीं !!
ये है सारी कहानी !!
अब आप पूछोगे जी ऐसे कौन सी चीजें है जो क्षारीय है और हम खाये ?????
आपके रसोई घर मे ऐसी बहुत सी चीजें है जो क्षारीय है !
जिन्हें आप खाये तो कभी heart attack न आए !
और अगर आ गया है !
तो दुबारा न आए !!
सबसे अधिक आपके घर में क्षारीय चीज है वह है लौकी !!
जिसे दुधी भी कहते है !!
English मे इसे कहते है bottle gourd !!!
जिसे आप सब्जी के रूप मे खाते है !
इससे ज्यादा कोई क्षारीय चीज ही नहीं है !
तो आप रोज लौकी का रस निकाल-निकाल कर पियो !!
या कच्ची लौकी खाओ !!
