Was the original Twightlight zone episode A World Of His Own , an inspiration for American Fiction? It seems like it may have!

It is fabulous and the messages are clear❤️
We have to stop pigeonholing people.
The movie makes it clear that there are many incredible facets to humanity and by limiting ourselves from exploring them, we miss a lot.
Regardless of race, gender, religion sexual orientation …. On and on Time to bury biases .
Thank you for the gem you created 🍷

What a great commentator on art and the American experience...also completely destroys the writer cliche..apart from the no socks kills it on every level :)

3:50: “They knew they would face a civil rights lawsuit…” This is the heart of the problem, no? This is why there are few “honest conversations” happening, and why the guilty white liberal types and the boxed in black literature satirized in this film exist as they do - because to simply speak candidly runs the unreasonable risks of losing one’s job or… a civil rights lawsuit. The lack of self-awareness is kind of baffling. I realize he’s speaking in jest, but it’s not far off from what actually happens daily. It’s a constant eggshell walk.

Now let’s watch and see how many comments accuse me of racism, ignorance, stupidity, etc. etc. If none I will be pleasantly surprised. It means we may be healing.

Instead of waiting to be spoon fed the reason the request to “be blacker” is nonsense - why not listen to what he’s saying.
