singer, artist,,, i think nobody today is even close to her level because she do not sing , she is a voice from somewhere up there and we dont have actually words to describe it we can only experience it ,pureness and innocence makes her almost angelic and thats the difference
Angelina is really that good. There's no pretense, and she gives us all she has. Her magic, other than her vast vocal gifts, is her empathy. She has always perfectly conveyed emotions she's too young to have experienced, herself. But, she has done it since she listened to her grandmother's jazz greats (like Billy Holiday) records as a tiny kid. She brings that element to all her songs, including covers of songs thought should never be attempted.
Humanity, love, Joy & Pain are in her voice. That's why she makes you feel! It's an awaking & we're finally starting to wake up! When were suppressed physically & mentally, we start feeling again & rise up.
I don’t think it’s just the era the song is from, I think it’s just her voice because I get chills and/or tears no matter what’s she’s singing! It’s just her voice and the emotions she is able to convey with her voice and that piece of herself she injects into each song. 10+!

And she's doing something no one have ever done before. She brings back old times as you said and she does it with great style and elegance and respect. I sure belive in reincarnation now.... :-D
I've already heard everything Angelina has done, and so I was going to just skim through your reactions to her, but I can't skip her singing. She moves something in me that is deeper than my heart, and makes me wish i were Sixteen again, so I could date her. Or at least daydream about dating her. lol

Okay, I am not the only one getting goosebumps when listening to this girl.
I heard that the reson we love her is because she don't sing for us! She sings to you you you....... and so on....

She likes that era too. I think maybe it's the heart she puts into her singing that comes through. I don't know it's like you have found a dish of food that never get's old, but you never find out what the family secret for making it is. At some point you realize that it is just going to happen every time you eat that dish. The same with Angelina. We may never know because it is a product of how she was raised the musical influences she grew up with, the freedom to express without suppression. Then there is genetics, a scraped knee, a hit on the head, all these things mixed together to allow this voice to come out. Then there is the love of the music and the undaunted desire to create. If there is one thing, or ingredient missing, it changes the flavor. So at some point we just have to enjoy it for what it is, a miracle of the universe, and happy us get to enjoy it. It doesn't change the fact that I cry every time I hear her sing. I do not know what her voice finds in me for me to respond, it just does. So I accept it and enjoy it. As I'm sure you do. I don't know what else to say, Angelina is just that good. I say all this and then I remember she is somewhere between 11-12 yrs.old, then my brain falls out of my head again. Until the next time.

Singing When We Were Young at her age can be very awkward, even when it's sung well. But Angelina is beyond 'well'. She is phenomenal. I believe every word. Her soul must be very old.
I truly believe that Angelina Jordan will be one of the most important singers for the decades to come. She is totally unique. She is totally Angelina Jordan.

Lovely tune by Adele... and Angelina squeezes every drop of goodness out of it. The accompaniment is tastefully understated with the double bass giving it a solid, fuzzy backbone. AJ from a very early age possessed a mystery ingredient. What a talent!

is the reason I also love the music of the 30's and 40's. these young singers should explore more of the songs of that era. A few examples ; "I'll Be Seeing You", "I Only Have Eyes For You", "But Not For Me", "The Man I Love", "Our Love Is Here To Stay", "Someone To Watch Over Me", "Night and Day", and so many more ! Just wish'n
Maunalee, it's her voice, not the song, genre or era of music that you love. Her voice is captivating, gives me goosebumps & makes me cry & I don't know why. I listened to Fil from the Wings of Pegasus talking about Patsy Cline's voice. He talks about how Patsy used vocal fry to resemble the cry of a baby the we are hardwired to react to & it grabs our attention. It is a very interesting theory & everything he said pertains to Angelina's voice. This may explain the mysterious, magic effect to Angelina's voice that so many are drawn to. Yeah this is Angelina. 😊 This is why we are fans of her. Her live performances every time since she participated in Norske talenter when she was 7/8 is a great. Angelina is unique and has the ability to touch our souls again and again 😊
Angelina doesn't "sing" the song. She tell you the words and the emotions and the interpretation and the beauty of the song. She makes you listen to the words, to the story, and to the meaning. And she takes you INTO the song with her.

There are a fair number of great singers currently changing our music. You can listen to them and be amazed. But no singer can create the emotions within that Angelina can create within.

On the hair,have you watched her talent Norway shows?that hair was wild,probably why she almost always wears a tiara/barette whenever you see her.

Sooner or later you will not be nervous going into a performance by Angelina. You will just know she's going to kill it. I'm hoping that some day you will figure out what it is about her voice that makes it so addictively comforting so you can explain it to me. There's some magic ingredient in there that I just can't pin down. Her voice has been described as being "like a warm hug" and that's exactly how it hits me.... every time.
Side note: this was Angelina's last show to date. It was July 2019 in Norway. She was scheduled to perform with Lionel Richie this summer, but the show has been canceled because of the current situation in the world.
I'm always looking for your comments for each post. Keep them coming. I hope she has a plan B since the Richie show was canceled.

Seriously though... she usually does a couple outdoor live shows in Norway in the summer. There have been no announcements, but they are probably waiting to see how the next month or so plays out.
I think given the "world condition" some of the first gatherings that we are likely to start seeing again are probably going to be outdoor shows with socially distanced seating. So fingers crossed.
Well Maunalee...loved your reaction. Angelina wrapped us up in that soulful, velvety, snuggely voice of hers and carried us away again. The expression on your face as she began to sing was a visual image of the way my heart was feeling as I listened to Angelina's angelic interpretation of that song. I love Adele. I really do. But this is yet another cover that Angelina does better than the original. Gotta love that girl.

I've said it before and I'll say it again, Angelina is a once in a generation talent. I could listen to her sing the phone book. Just wait another 10 years and she reaches the ripe old age of 24. SMH, just amazing!

I never believed in possession until listening to AJ. Its astounding. Its as if an old blues singer enters her body for the song, then leaves, and the little girl returns!

It’s been said she is a vocal chameleon, her sound is no doubt influenced by the time spent on her grandmother’s knee with her grandmother listening to her favorite music, jazz, eta James billy holiday etc
I find her voice is smooth, rich and full of character and very soothing to the soul. I think you need to accept that ANY of her performances will be amazing.

The night I first saw Angelina on the Norway's talent show at age 7 I told my wife"You have to come over here and see this little girl sing. She is incredible, we are watching the birth of a legend. Now she is a 6 foot tall beautiful young woman, who in my humble opinion will be a superstar by age 18. She is magnificent
Angelina is a super star in her fans' books already. We will just have to keep it under our hats until she gets comfortable with the term for herself.

I have listened to so much music in my life...it is my life...all different styles and genres and I dont think anyone esp someone so young has ever made me feel the way I do every single time I hear her sing. Always get chills and goosebumps and the shear angelic beauty, her amazing talent and ability to truely make the song her own is so captivating and she brings tears to my eyes. She is definetly too young to be able to express such emotion in her voice. Makes me believe in reincarnation and think that she mustve been a star in her past life or lives. Undeniably one of the greatest singers to bless this world and this is just the beginning. Love her and love watching your reaction vids. Keep em coming. 😉
You are an excellent reactor. First is your honesty and then your love of music and sensitivity to it. Also, your appraisal of the singer you listen to is right on the mark. English is my second, well, perhaps my fourth or fifth language so I choose my words carefully. So, I particularly like your reactions to Angelina Jordan. I am not a fan of her but more than that. I have known Angelina since she was a tiny girl long before Norway Got Talent. I have sat in a living room and have her sing Billie Holiday to me at the age of five I think and many other songs over the years. Even then her talent was obvious. It was also, to me, unexplainable, otherworldly. The most funny thing though is I have had her sing for me a deeply complex a song like Ms. Holiday’s version of, “Embraceable You” at that young age and it is as if she has a lifetime of experience behind her. She immerses herself into this song expressing emotions, feeling, and experience she most definitely NOT experienced as this tiny person she was then and , most hilariously, when the song is finished she jumps around, laughing, squealing, playing with one of her dogs in the true manner of her age! To see this performance and how she changes into a serious artist with a lifetime experience then back into an innocent little girl is a most profound experience. I have given up trying to explain or understand but just accept. As I see her growing (6 ft 1” in height or a little more) into a young woman this magic remain as strong as ever. Her innocence is intact and precious. When she grows to womanhood it is no doubt she will achieve a mission of some kind in this world. I am not religious but there is something of the supernatural about her in this regard to music and singing. She is as much of a genius here in music as Mozart or Billie Holiday or another artist she loves Louis Armstrong. The other amazement to me is this talent goes along with an empathetic spirit and endless kindness and above all humility. A singer such as she deserves a reactor with your honesty and true appreciation. So many reactors are spurious, talkative in the extreme or, as one reactor I saw, placed a filter on top of her video with a self promotion advertizement for their RUclips channel there through the whole song. I even like your use of the eight ball. It is funny to see especially when the ball announces in the negative! By the way, for no particular reason, my grandfather had a sister in Ireland whose name was exactly, Maunalee Kennedy. Not a usual firstly name I suspect. Again excellent job. I look forward to you and a few other top notch reactors for more of Angelina and others. So enjoyable to watch. Thank you so much. Also, on the few times I have commented in the past fans when they find out my connection with Angelina blast me with questions (or doubts as to my veracity) so I will remove this comment in a day or two. probably because the picture i have in my mind of my dad in law, who we lost last year, is a photograph of him and i on my wedding day. he will remain forever that way.

What with these tears. I never?@~ I never listen to this genre. I don't get in to it, until now! How is that possible. A 13 year old little girl you just want to protect. The love that's felt and carry day's later is insane. Walls all around this heart and she just wrecks you, but in a good way? Can't figure it out and been trying for years. I come back to the same thing....She is that she is! We let her hold our hearts, no fear either. ALL OF US! All of us. I must sound crazy.
