All i can say is i am a 70year women from texas. I dug in the trash from the 70s on i sold at flea markets when their was NO INTERNET every week. My dad went to auctions bought stuff for the house. His profession welder. After he went in business for hisself he became a scrapper early on. At his funeral their were a hundred plus guys that threw little peices of metal on his coffin, it was an act of love and respect to my Dad and i still cry thinking about it And it was 18 years ago. Keep going Taco and like many of us think i do hope you and Rene are really really good....friends, its none of my business but she is good people and so are you...
Happy scrapping. My mother had her great grandmother's encyclopedias from the early 1800s. When I was in grade school I wrote a book report using those old encyclopedias and got a F. My mother had to go to the school and explain to the teacher that I had used those 1800s encyclopedias. Turns out most of the information in them were wrong. Had to rewrite that book report using current encyclopedias. Got an A.
I had encyclopedias. The grocery store my grandparents went to had a set they were selling. Each week it was 2-3 books plus there was a map book. I used them all the time for school. Internet was barely a thing in high school. It was a lot of going to the library looking in the card catalog then hoping no one took the books you need. Oh the good old days.
Hi Taco. You save so much from the landfills. You work so hard. I enjoy both trash picking and storage auctions. Thanks for the fun.Hugs and pets for Salsa.
@@just.j5302 I was raised in the mountains. It was during the 1960's. People had 7, 8, 9 on up children. People were poor. Something like the Coal Miners Daughter. Believe me I know what poor is.
Please don't worry for one second if anyone disapproves of how you trash pick. They can do it their way when they are out saving the earth every day. We didn't have encyclopedias, but we went to the library a few times a week.
Hi Taco. Happy Thursday to you. Great find on the copper. It’s a shame you didn’t get a unit. But what ya gonna do right. I hope you have a great weekend. Take care. PEACE. ✌️✌️✌️✌️✌️✌️✌️✌️🥰🥰🥰🦮🦮🦮🦮🦮🦮🦮🦮🦮🥰🥰🥰💯💯💯💯💯💯💯💯
This was a good day Taco! Im going to maybe gobto bed now. I love you keep being you and keep.doing what you do. Give sweet Salsa some lovin for me. Stay safe and healthy. 💜💜😘😘💞💞💞💞💞🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏✌️✌️
Taco, if I may make a suggestion-always follow your gut feeling. You won’t go wrong. I have been there-done it-I did good-I didn’t and I have suffered more than I can tell you. Great videos. Keep up the great work!
Good morning to you Taco. Today you just about filled up your van. It has been another great day. I have enjoyed this video and spending time with you. Enjoy your day Taco.
I remember that my family had we had encyclopedia Britannica and funken Wagner too. Think I was 10-11 yo and was told they cost 500.00 dollars for a set in 1965-1967.
Hi Taco! You are correct that an encyclopedia was expensive. They came in volumes, usually in alphabetical order. The Encyclopedia Britannica was the most well known. It was large and the volumes were heavy. You could also get encyclopedias on a specific subject. Like baseball or paintings. When personal computers came out, before Google, you could get them on floppy disks. Thanks for the video and hugs for Salsa!😊✌🐕
Have a full set of Funk and Wagnalls got one by one at the grocery store when purchasing a certain amount of groceries, living out in the country, our children used them because the library was too far away from where we lived unless they used the school library and we also still have them as well as a Disney set of encylopedias purchased through a book club
Just because you're not supposed to do it don't mean they don't because there's no consequences when they do go in the unit when the facility is not supposed to
You need to get coffee in you so you can talk right lol all about getting old 😂 and answer to your question yesterday I agree with spring and fall but I like spring best because it is a start of new beginnings ❤ be safe
Taco stacks! Taco stacks! Taco stacks! For the win of the day! Thanks for taking us along with you! I appreciate you!!! So much copper lately ! Saving so much too! Stay safe stay great and keep up the good work!!!!
Encyclopedias are better than Google could ever hope to be. There is limited history in Google. If you pick major league baseball the history will start at a point and come forward. If you need the inception of leagues and who the people involved were that information may or may not be there. If I look up 12th century France I go to my Encyclopedia Britannica and it gives a brief overview then explodes into all sorts of things with references to agriculture, music, politics, role of women, diseases, etc. As for current information, I looked at placement of an intravenous catheter or a central line. It showed placement of the patient, prepping site, opening of the kit, what the components of the kit, etc. THEY LEFT OUT THE MOST IMPORTANT STEP WHICH MEANS THEY KILLED THE PATIENT. I rewatched the video several times. They really did leave out that most important step. Give me the books any day.
Yeah, resellers need to stay away from broken stuff. People won't buy it and then you're stuck with it. I probably would have taken that shelf for myself and repaired it, but Taco would end up over run with crap.
A thought for your next video. Show the air conditioning units post breaking them up showing what you sell and then show how much you get for them in scrap.
depends of condition, we can't always see the flaws on video or it may not be a good seller in his area, wouldn't be of interest in mine unless antique
That's the most upsetting is the ones that get away🤔🤔 instead of the bad buys I've lost on don't bug me at all , I just missed on a unit that sold for 40 and had vintage toys . I bought the brother unit for 80 got 220 in scrap wire and N64 games w/ console and expansion pack around 400 in value with a few nes games , have a feeling the brother unit had the good nes games with all the 80s toy figures. One of the totes had GI joes written on the side but no gi joes😮💨 . Had ran out of storage space and could only bid on 1 unit at the time , now I can't bid at all 😥 zero space with to much to sell
I sometimes add just a splash of an energy drink to my water to flavor it. That way I also don’t get the effects of all the extra caffeine, sugars, and calories.
Renée had the same issue with the unit she bought for $70. There was a whole box missing, and boxes had been rearranged. Sounds like an employee is grabbing the good stuff for themselves, or they are letting the tenant get certain things out of the unit before they sell it at auction.
I have always been one to stop and grab a good road find If you see it take what you want leave the rest I also see I’m not alone in staging my items so peoples like us can grab a good item it just makes good sense to save it from the landfill Great day thanks see you soon
We use to have a toy collection where I worked for that reason and people would fill the bin with broken and dirty toys, it wasted alot of time because it had to be sorted and majority had to be thrown out, sadly because of this we had to stop the collection
Regarding your storage locker views. The thumbnails looked very similar. I didn’t view second one because I thought I already watched it. I’ll have to go back and check it out.

My parents bought us a set in the 60's and that changed everything. Now it's Google changing it all.

Love that wicker Rocking chair.
A good thing you don't drink those energy drinks because they are bad for the heart
THEN WHY DID HE PICK THEM UP?
9:39 Solid copper! Taco is one lucky guy!
Hi Taco, have a blessed day and smoochies to Salsa 💖💖💖✝

Hi Taco! Wow you have a whole van full of good stuff. Hope you get a good price for it. Blessings always…hugs to Salsa!
Traveling salesmen and encyclopedia. If you had a set your family was affluent. We had a set. It was our Wikipedia and Google search combined. ✌️✌️✌️
...or did you just think you were affluent? 🙄 that didn't come across very well...

Ppl have to much to complain about these days, wish they'd be more kind
Well said!
Did you not pay your way through college doing this? I would think you did it right..

There is no bare bright copper tubing. Only wire

I still have a set of encyclopedias..one for kids too. 1980,s
We couldn’t afford Britannia; we got Funk and Wagnall’s.😝
Have a full set of Funk and Wagnalls got one by one at the grocery store when purchasing a certain amount of groceries, living out in the country, our children used them because the library was too far away from where we lived unless they used the school library and we also still have them as well as a Disney set of encylopedias purchased through a book club
Good day! Copper was worth the trip.
Beautiful neighborhood.

What did I miss when I heard someone say”Hi”? I replayed it a couple of times and still missed it.

Great video as always,👍🏻👍🏻🤠🇬🇧
wicker? thougth it doesn't sell?
Glad you do not drink energy drinks or soda, stay healthy, I really enjoy 5here outings
Yeah, resellers need to stay away from broken stuff. People won't buy it and then you're stuck with it. I probably would have taken that shelf for myself and repaired it, but Taco would end up over run with crap.
The 2 chairs at 17:15 look like new zero gravity chairs…expensive.
You should of gotten those planters for yourself and those green garden sticks!!!!!
Great haul and scrap $$!
Peace Taco ☺️
Hi Taco , good haul today
A thought for your next video. Show the air conditioning units post breaking them up showing what you sell and then show how much you get for them in scrap.
Here is a little joke for you what is the heaviest part of a fish? The scales 😂
bahaha
I would love to have the golden books
Did you ever try putting that stuff like the desk and chair on marketplace ! You could have it sold before you make it home
Would be great for selling stuff like that in fall, seeing that flea markets are ending
depends of condition, we can't always see the flaws on video or it may not be a good seller in his area, wouldn't be of interest in mine unless antique
What was the most you have ever spent on a storage unit and was it worth it? Hope so!
Great video Taco ❤👍

good haul today.
Let it go and move on!
I would’ve grabbed those planters. Have you seen the price of planters lately?😵😵😵😵😵
If those are children's picture encyclopedias, us crafters use them.
Great Video!
More Red Gold (copper) finds 😎
Hi Taco. Good morning. Great haul. You were a little harsh with yourself today. I recommend 💯 Salsa💋 kisses. Thank you as always. ☮
You just cheer me up after watching your videos Taco Stacks. Thanks.
I sometimes add just a splash of an energy drink to my water to flavor it.
That way I also don’t get the effects of all the extra caffeine, sugars, and calories.
We get $10 out of ground rods on marketplace,if you need one they are not cheap...
Renée had the same issue with the unit she bought for $70. There was a whole box missing, and boxes had been rearranged. Sounds like an employee is grabbing the good stuff for themselves, or they are letting the tenant get certain things out of the unit before they sell it at auction.
You are not lazy!!
Does copper have good value where you drop it off?
First comment. Love your vids.
Hey Taco..u still stripping electrical wiring ????
I have always been one to stop and grab a good road find
If you see it take what you want leave the rest
I also see I’m not alone in staging my items so peoples like us can grab a good item it just makes good sense to save it from the landfill
Great day thanks see you soon
Im surprised that a lot of those toys aren't donated to toys for tots for Christmas. People just throw stuff out.. Easier I guess..
Toys for Tots only takes new toys
We use to have a toy collection where I worked for that reason and people would fill the bin with broken and dirty toys, it wasted alot of time because it had to be sorted and majority had to be thrown out, sadly because of this we had to stop the collection
How much is a 8' run of copper pipe at the hardware store? Good scrap day, and better luck at the next auction 👍👍
Sure - everyone uses Google now... 😂 and we still get the answers wrong!
the golden books sell
Regarding your storage locker views. The thumbnails looked very similar. I didn’t view second one because I thought I already watched it. I’ll have to go back and check it out.
for a guy called Taco STACKS you are sure bad at STACKING 🤣
Paper & Moose thought her storage locker had been gone through. Were they at the same location?
That solid rod may not be solid copper. Looked like a ground rod to me (has iron core). needs checked.
Slow down some we can’t see
