    Hi and welcome to my Barbie Channel. I'm a real Barbie girl and as a long time collector. I'd like to show you different aspects like how to do repairs for Barbies produced from 1959 until the 1990s and how to become a good Barbie doc yourself. So you can use my experience to do the repairs yourself and save money by the fact that you don't need another person to repair them for you.If you have any suggestions what to tape or a specific topic just let me know. I'm open for new ideas.

    Just got a vintage Midge and her hair is very coarse. I'm working on getting it smooth enough so I can put her back into an original flip!!!

      Hello and welcome back to my channel, Compact girl. Of course you can use staws for different purposes like curls. Do you have a pic of them?

    I cut up strips of paper towel and it works fine. I also have vintage metal perming rods which work great

    I love your curlers. I did splurge and buy some Barbie-sized ones. I actually got a No Bangs Francie at the thrift store the other day. She has yellow head, so has been soaking in denture tabs a couple of days. Once she is done, I will have to restyle her hair. I also bought a small headband for her. I’ve also seen people cut drinking straws in pieces to make curlers. Where do you get the clear headbands?

      Hi Lisa and welcome to my channel. Thanks for your comment and congrats that you found a No Bangs Francie. :-) I got the orthodontics at ebay. I think they were shipped from China.

    I just bought Barbie and skipper roughly 1960s and Skipper has cropped hair and Barbie is the fashion queen and has pin pricks and scratches. I am hoping to restore these myself.

    What are end papers? I have 10 -1970's bionic woman dolls and I am redoing all their hair. If you know the doll, the hair is almost always in a rats nest-lol, I know how to get it clean and conditioned and get tangles out, and how to air dry, but then the ends need to be flipped up so I found your video.Looks really good on the Francie doll. But I need to know what those end papers are? Could I substitute tissue or something?

    • @BusyBfromGermany
      @BusyBfromGermany  Год назад

      Hello and welcome to my channel, zeppelingal. Thanks for your comment. End papers are used to fix the end of your hairs when a hairdresser is doing a perm in your hair. It's a special kind of paper, elastic in wet condition. @Helmut Gegenbaur have I forgotten something concerning end papers?

    Thank you for this video, it helped a lot. I was curious if I could suggest a video on what you can do with an original Casey doll with cropped and cut up hair and what alternative Barbie bodies would work if you can't find an original body?

    • @BusyBfromGermany
      @BusyBfromGermany  2 года назад

      Hello and welcome to my channel, Century Countess. Thanks for your suggestions. Casey could be a bit hard to find in Europe at the moment because the market is sold out but I can keep my eyes open. Do you mean with alternative Barbie bodies Vintage Barbie bodies or more modern ones?

    • @francesfinley482
      @francesfinley482 2 года назад +2

      Casey's body is interchangeable with Francie. If that isn't an option, try the Made to Move
      Barbie body or Teen Skipper from modern dolls.

    I use hot water then wrap in thin towel and put in freezer. Same with one to two days drying time.

      Hello and welcome back to my channel, RG1 WhitneyWins. Thanks for your comment. Is the hair dry after the time in the freezer and what about the duration of the curls?

    Sorry, not the orthodontic rubber bands, but the clear plastic bands to go around the head to hold the hair down.

    • @BusyBfromGermany
      @BusyBfromGermany  Год назад

      It's handmade. You mean the wrap for the hairs. You can see how it's done here ruclips.net/video/Tb2f8yH7baw/видео.html. I made a video about this last year.

    If you don't have end papers you can use tissues or tin foil. One question I have is how you secure the Bobby pins with elastics. There isn't detail showing or explaining this in the video.

    • @BusyBfromGermany
      @BusyBfromGermany  2 года назад +1

      Hello and welcome back to my channel, Frances Finley. That's a good idea to use tissues. I can do another short with the topic how to secure the elastics when you use these diy curlers. Would that be helpful?
