I visited him and he had great stories. One NY Eve he was in Aspen when Prince sang at the party. During summers he was a room service waiter at the Wisconsin Playboy Club and was the first person to see George Carlin after he had been booed off the stage for his anti-war jokes. When Brother found him he was distraught and was going to quit comedy. Brother stayed with him and talked him down. What if Bro had not been there?

I was in the audience at the Warner Theatre in DC for the taping of his Spark of Insanity special. Being it was being taped for TV, there were a lot of stops and starts, delays, reshoots, etc. During an extended period of delays while the crew were figuring some technical issues out, Jeff was visibly uncomfortable waiting all alone on stage. He had to get one of the puppets out and start speaking to the audience through the puppet to feel more relaxed. It was also there I realized all the “mishaps” with Peanut or Ahmed were indeed scripted. We happened to catch Jeff a year earlier in a local comedy club when he was testing out his material for the special and there was a mishap. I don’t think there’s much off-the-cuff material. It’s all scripted.
Britt, this year we each made lists. three of them. One was what movie would you like to see? The Second was a sweet snack and the third was salty snacks. The idea is when we got together, We each would roll a dice from my grandson's D and D gaming. What number came up on the dice was your sweet snack and your salty snack..two rolls..the third was a roll to see what movie we would watch..It was a lot of fun. However, my two grandson's are 17 and 19. So this worked for us.

And it also is known as All Hallows Eve preceding All Saints Day and two nights before All Souls Day both strong Christian Holidays even if they are less prevalent in modern times here in the more secular world.
