It's a dialogue heavy film, so I've gotta find some way to keep it interesting! To animate and to view. Props like the trolley, staff, sword, hook and capes definitely helped!
I'm quite happy with how the lightning strike turned out. It was near the end and nothing more than a bullet point in my script, so I just had to freestyle it.
I'm amazed by how much animation you could pull off, and with camera movement! That explosion animation was also awesome, and I loved the ending to the film! Well done!
I'm well chuffed to have completed it fully this year after having to resort to a few shots of slideshow the last 2 times. I just can't get behind moving pose to pose with pauses in the middle, even though it works well for plenty of people. There were a couple of shots I carried out max speed in the last couple of hours. I was near enough just wiggling the minifigs around, but hopefully they don't stick out too much against the rest!
Haha, awesome! I loved how the auction was still going when the fight was taking place 😂I'm really impressed by the 'auction' neon sign outside too 👏I will never not love returning to this Johnny Thunder anthology
This is so chaotic and so well done. There's too much happening to comment on, but it's all great. I do want to mention the high-quality color-coded captions, though!
Cheers! It was fun to play around with the highlights on hooks and hats and swords! And give my new diffusion filters a go. I'd have liked to make it more consistent, but that's THAC for ya!
Really enjoyed this, an excellent JO Co Johnny Thunder adventure once again! Also love this shot at 0:13, with the impressive camera movement around the set (don’t know how you managed that!) and the expressive character animation of the auctioneer. Good luck in the contest! :)
Ace! Always feels good to have the approval of a fellow Thunderer. I did miss seeing you in the playlist this time around. As for the 180° shot, I'm glad I got it in there but it was at the cost of the lighting. I had to move the camera and the set to keep it lined up and unfortunately there was no way to keep the lamp as it was once the back wall came in.
@@JOCoStudio1 It was well worth it for the shot! Yeah I had to give up on my entry to sleep on the night of Thac, but considering I’ve been working on it a whole week since and still haven’t finished it, I don’t think I would have managed it if I had stayed up all night anyways 😅 And it is also another Johnny Thunder film, coincidentally with the Re-Gou Ruby as the treasure too! :)
I had to stop myself from burning some fuse at 4 in the morning for a smoke and sparks with the lightning strike. That really would have been a don't try this at home situation!
Awesome camera movement. Best of luck in the contest.
This was incredible. LOVE the 360 camera motion around the auctioneer. Wonderful job!
Hectic as usual! It’s amazing how you can apply your style and make such a solid entry within 24 hours. One of my favourites this year!
I love how active and engaged the camera and characters are. Lots of good animation here.

Spectacular
I love the lighting in the credits
This was hilarious and i love how dynamic it all is
Really good humor and good animation 👍
Lol I love this. The comedic timing for the lightning strike was perfect. Your chaotic style really suits a contest like THAC
This is great!! Fantastic job!
Dude that was so good! The guns exploding and the lightning strike were perfect.

Wonderful! The voice acting is so good for the characters!

Sword fights are an occupational hazard when you run an auction for this clientele!

Thanks! Always good to know people appreciate the captions
That was so good, I really liked the lighting in this one. Very cool setting all around, a super fun watch, JO Co!

Amazing voice acting!
The billion dollar question you could almost say!
Sold to the new highest bidder! Now pay up, sunshine!

@StarBrickStudios what are the odds? Maybe it was a good thing we didn't both enter then! Well, I look forward to seeing it however long it takes!
Can't help loving your style. But don't do this at home kids! There's only one Jo Co.
