He even was talking about how the dog can't feel love. I remember at the time thinking that he was just being awkward since it was his first neighborhood he made.
I think the moment this show won my heart is when Michael called Janet his friend. Took his glasses off, wiped some tears away, and in that moment became more human than fire squid.
Looking back and rewatching the series I can't believe I didn't realize Michael was a sociopath the whole time, he was the "good guy" sweet, innocent, and goofy but he caused them all LITERALLY nothing but inner turmoil, I thought he was getting played but he was playing them the whole time, though I love his character development throughout the show. Also, what's with Michael Schur naming characters after himself? 🤣
I mean to be fair the archangel Michael is a pretty well known Biblical figure so that was probably part of the subterfuge Or at least a good excuse for him to use it
if he were actually a sociopath, i don’t think he would have had any development at all. remember when glenn said that he was torturing humans because he believed that they all deserved it, but then started having doubts about the system? i think michael was the same way
Michael: Okay. So, what did we learn? Me: Keep your mouth close when about to ram a trolley into a bunch of people.🤨😆 Also, it’s nice to show how having the right people in your life can change you for the better.😊❤️
I love how bout michael and janet became real people at the end The janet of the beginning would have never purposely cry cuz you felt sad, but towards the end as she says goodbye to michael and Eleanor you can see she’s holding in the tears So yeah michael got to be a real boy but Janet got to be a real girl too
There is a strange divine canon to the good place His design of the neighborhood as a testing ground would prove the case for both the humans and the higher beings that entered it. An evil being designed a place that could make people good, and this revelation would radically change the afterlife. In the end, Michael would in effect become God, making his choice to enter his own system and being judged accordingly a bit eerie.
@@ΑΡΙΣΤΟΤΕΛΗΣΛΑΧΑΝΟΠΟΥΛΟΣI think the approach is interesting but there was a missed opportunity to address the incompetence of the good place architects that left and made Michael in charge. He changed the whole system and suddenly took charge of the good place and they just glossed over that. I know the whole show is more about the human experience but Michael should’ve ascended and recognized as god.
lets be real evil michael is just in a silly goofy mood
Ikr
Micheal booting a dog into the sun should have made me be suspicious but wow didn't even think of it

Yeah you’re right. Only a truly evil person (or fire-squid in the body of one) could do such a thing
It's funny the way Chidi yells, "FLEW INTO MY MOUTH". All six main characters on this show do a great job acting.

True. I felt that too.
nah frrr i almsot cried when i saw that episode the first time
I didn't want to cry watching this but every time Michael goes down to earth I just can't help it. I love when people get their happy endings.
I love happy ending too.
dirty

@@silversleeper1193 Just now realized that that's some creative use of symbolism, thanks for pointing that out. 👍

@@quanicle101wasn’t his sudden existential fear of death that triggered him to be able to change?
@@noctuabird that existential crisis allowed him to empathize with humans, which he wouldn’t have been able to do if he were a sociopath
Michael has one of the greatest character arcs in all of fiction. And that's saying a lot coming from this show.
5:30 the laugh
THAT LAUGH tickles my brain and soul every time I hear it
Dude everytime Michael has a human empathy moment it makes me wanna cry
Holy Forking Shirtballs! I *just* noticed it. At 0:16, the marquee of the billboard reads "Strangers Under A Train," which is how that season ends!
It's foreshadowing and referencing an old movie called "Strangers on a Train"
YOOOO!
Michael: Okay. So, what did we learn?
Me: Keep your mouth close when about to ram a trolley into a bunch of people.🤨😆

The Michael after being discovery is really a good evil, the laugh, the way he talk, its really cool.
Excellent work here. Every time a clip is posted I’m reminded what a unique and funny show this was, that I still miss❤️
"You'll live down there for...some amount of time."
Ted was amazing, I didn't have him in my memory but now it's printed in my memory forever and all the cast and crew of this perfect little show !
Even when he's supposed to be evil he's still so soft
The classic "not making a decision, is making a decision"

I've watched The Good Place so many times and just now I realized how perfect timing Mr. Jumpy jumped
Michael. Our favorite Silver Fox 💜
I never noticed "Strangers Under a Train" at 0:16 until now lmao
I miss evil Michael , their love hate relationship was so fun to watch
Evil Micheal is still funny.. 🤣🤣
It's incredible that the first scene of this video about a villain is a thing that Michael from Vsauce has done.
Season 2 "Messy Bench" Michael is best Michael!

Yeah the ending was definitely weird.
I truly think they shouldn't have gone for that "life only has meaning if it has an end" approach.

5:33 was a real surprise
Evil Michael was much more entertaining 🤣🤣

Jeff the Doorman
I have a deep and seething hatred for those people who text that they're 5 minutes away when they haven't even left the house.
Man this show was too good
AKA Michael Before & After
Who Doesn’t Like To Mess With Peoples Heads?
Good Michael is just evil Michael but not evil
