I still refuse to believe that there are people who actually despise Knock Knock. I’m one of the biggest Knock Knock defenders on the planet, it’s my favourite Twice song, one of the best K-Pop songs in my opinion and it’s just so nostalgic to me. Knock Knock is basically what One of These Nights is to me. A song that makes me feel emotional that I somehow have to go to great lengths to defend.
I never hated knock knock tbh. I thought sometimes it’s weakest compare to the others but gradually it started to become so nostalgic for me and it reminds me so much of tt which is one of their best era
I am surprised Cry for Me is so low it's one of my favorites. I have to say when it comes to twice I will always be down to listen to More&More. I usually go for Twice when I am in a happy mood and lately the bsides of with You-th have been my obsession
I really respect you for taking criticism as a opportunity for growth as a creator. To me the Twice westernization video was really good, well argued and definitely not worthy of doubting your Once-card. Even so, taking time to try to be more clear and minimizing misunderstanding is admirable, even if sometimes it can feel like shouting into the depths of futility.
Whenever Twice releases what I call a “friendship is magic/our longevity as a group” song it’s an immediate hit for me and I will die on the hill defending them! Songs I consider this “genre”: Celebrate One Spark Feel Special I Got You You Get Me
Damn they have so many singles ETA: also I think Scientist has the best Momo line delivery in their entire discography imo. It’s so addictive. Deserves more love for that reason.
"I will take a bullet for any Twice song" is a phrase that I have first heard from you, and now I use it every time I can for groups that I think have no skip discography. (Imo TWICE and STAYC) People who think your a hater are prolly people that haven't seen your videos before.. as someone who has watched a lot of your earlier content, I would never think of you as a hater. You're quite the opposite. Don't listen to em. Keep your ONCE card. Don't surrender em to no one. Lol. Anyways, my top 15 (I can't rank all of em it's too hard 😭) would prolly be still like the last time, just with One Spark and I Got You mixed in haha. 1. The Feels 2. Talk that Talk 3. One Spark 4. More & More 5. Likey 6. Alcohol Free/ DTNA 7. Cheer Up 8. Fancy 9. Celebrate 10. Moonlight Sunrise 11. Feel Special 12. Like Ooh Aah 13. BDZ 14. I Want You Back 15. Fanfare Keep up the good work choujimi! I might not have been watching much of your recent stuff, but I'm still rooting for you 💪🏻 F**k the haters. 🔥🔥🔥
TT is what got me into twice! It's perfect imo, I love love that Dahyun chorus. I learned each member by rewatching the TT dance practices over and over
I've your list and reflecting on all of the different eras I'd TWICE. I think my top 5 has to be 1. What is Love? - No emotion hits me harder than yearning and it's just filled to the brim with it. I think making simple ideas big and theatrical is at the heart of Kpop's strength. 2. I Can't Stop Me - I totally agree that the instrumental perfectly matches the lyrics. It's just a train that doesn't stop, and the way the chorus is belted only adds to that feeling. 3. Yes Or Yes - Mina's intro with the synth horn is iconic, and then when the vocals hit it's such a release. I read it as a perfect send off for the original TWICE era. 4. Likey - To me this is TWICE at their peak effortless power. They have other songs that go bigger, but Likey does it so effortlessly. And my Vancouverite bias does add a nostalgic note to the song for depth. 5. Alcohol Free - I love how relaxing and fun it is. The mojito with lime line is so good and the inhumanly high trumpet hits the spot so well. Amidst TWICE's very intense discography, it's so refreshing.
This is a great ranking and I really like ways you explained them! I definitely agree about the feeling/emotion that What is Love provides, it’s so good
I'm so here for TTT appreciation!! It's such a masterpiece and a perfect blend of the cute girlcrush concept from their early days and more mature concept fitting for their age/new ventures.
The fact that even tho I relate Alcohol-Free with one of my exes, I've never hated it or tried to avoid listening to it - I stream it daily even - proves how good it is (and how much I love it too)
When knock knock came out, I was alone in my London terrible rented tiny house dealing with a terrible tutor and ddl for my first year assessment, I remembered during the part of the mv where they read the picture book from TT, I started tearing up, such a a special song to me.
I am a die hard ONCE too, and I find your critical/analysis videos so interesting and thought provoking. Lots of social media coverage about TWICE is superficial, simplified and polaried. I always enjoy listening to your videos because they are so balanced, in depth and detailed in their high level analysis. I sound like a teacher here marking an essay but honestly it's just so nice to hear things abt a group in so much detail with so much nuance. NEVER STOP MAKING UR VIDS I LOVE U!!
I really love the entire More & More album. It's probably my favorite album, tbf. I have a on/off relationship with Twice, but this album tried to convert me into a full-time Once. And Signal? I have loved that song since the first listen. The fact that others just don't get it makes me so sad.
First of all, another great video, I love your content so much. I really appreciate the inclusion of Japanese singles, because I actually prefer them a lot of the time and they are definitely not talked about as much as they should! Well, I definitely think your ranking is good, don't get me wrong, but some of the songs are criminally low for me 😭 My top 12 (10 is too little) as of now: 1. BDZ ( 11/10 song accompanied by the best MV ever made) 2. Swing (I don't think I can even explain this, but I love it very deeply) 3. I Got You (the nostalgic vibes make me cry pretty regularly) 4. Cry For Me (boy oh boy, this song is something else, if I ever become a villain, this is the vibe I'll be going for) 5. Yes or Yes (still my idea of peak Twice when it comes to Korean releases, this song is everything to me, the intro is legendary) 6. Kura Kura (The hype this song gave me when it came out is incomparable. Best Spring vibes) 7. Scientist (If I am a number 1 defender of something, then it's this song, I LOVE it from all the science references to the melody - amazing!) 8. I Can't Stop Me (the first Twice comeback I experienced and definitely one for the history books) 9. Alcohol Free (I didn't get it for the first 2 weeks and then I fell in love with it and it's one of those songs that when I put it on I know it's gonna be an amazing experience) 10. Candy Pop (It was one of my favourites when I got to know Twice and the fact that my all time favourite artist Sabrina Carpenter just randomly sang this song at her concerts means a lot to me) 11. Heart Shaker (the most unforgettable choreo, love it with my whole HEART 💞) 12. Brand New Girl (Great Twice song, I feel like they're giving me a makeover and I like it)
1.Feel Special 2. TT 3. Cheer Up 4. Talk That Talk 5. Fancy 6. I Can’t Stop Me 7. Set Me Free 8. Alcohol Free 9. Like ooh ahh 10. Likey 11. Cry for Me 12. What is Love? 13. Scientist 14. More & More 15. Fake & True 16. Better 17. Knock Knock 18. The Feels 19. Dance the Night Away 20. One Spark 21. Breakthrough 22. Yes Or Yes 23. Signal 24. Hare Hare 25. Kura Kura 26. Moonlight Sunrise 27. Celebrate 28. One More Time 29. Happy Happy 30. Heart Shaker 31. Perfect World 32. I Got You 33. Swing 34. Doughnut 35. Merry & Happy 36. Candy Pop 37. Wake Me Up 38. Fanfare 39. BDZ 40. I Want You Back 41. Brand New Girl 42. Stay by My Side 43. The Best thing I ever did
Justice for the Japanese tracks lol! My list would be verrrry different but we have the same number one song! super entertaining to hear your ranking and reasonings
here are my top 10 as a casual once since debut days: 10. feel special 9. i can’t stop me 8. fancy 7. yes or yes 6. candy pop 5. tt 4. likey 3. what is love 2. cheer up 1. talk that talk
Would die for tier: Knock Knock, What is Love?, Feel Special, I Got You, Celebrate, Hare Hare On repeat tier: Signal, Heart Shaker, Fancy, I Can’t Stop Me, Cry For Me, The Feels, Candy Pop, Breakthrough, Happy Happy, Perfect World, Just Be Yourself, Do Not Touch Amazing tier: Likey, Dance the Night Away, More & More, Alcohol-Free, Scientist, One More Time, Brand New Girl, Swing, Fanfare, Better, Kura Kura, Pop! I enjoy it tier: Like Ooh-Ahh, Cheer Up, Merry & Happy, Yes or Yes, The Best Thing I Ever Did, Talk That Talk, Set Me Free, Stay By My Side, Dance Again, Killin’ Me Good I can understand it tier: TT, One Spark, Moonlight Sunrise, I Want You Back (cover), Fake & True Somethings not right tier: Wake Me Up, BDZ, Doughnut
I just started ranking Twice's discography like a week ago stop reading my mind /jk no but I have no idea if my ranking will be for a video or not, but I'm with you as a defender for every single song
all i have to say is that we have to fight… fight over who is actually the #1 defender of knock knock, like i can fight you on most of these songs but i’m confident i will win the knock knock battle
I was quite shook with some picks here. THAT INTRO HAHAHAHAHA Here my list: 1. Feel Special The lyrics, the time, sound, video, delivery, is just so hard to top in my opinion, a classic. 2. Talk That Talk Fun, refined, interesting but familiar. 3. What is Love? For me, this is the one that captures the group as a concept and vibe in the best way. 4. TT/Like Ooh Ahh PEAK, KPOP AT ITS BEST. 5. Alcohol Free Refreshing, unexpected, adds variety to their discography but without leaving their brand. 6. Perfect World I APOLOOGIIIZEEEE... Similar to Alcohol Free, adds so much to their discography and image, really strong. 7. Fancy The transition to a more mature concept, but keep it fun. 8. Doughnut P E A K. THE VIBE? mystery fantasy drama winter ode. Amazing delivery. UNIQUE, that's what u are. 9. I Can't Stop Me A lot of the b-sides in this album are way better, but this one does a great job as a title track, captures attention to dive into a whole experience. 10. Better/Kura Kura Soundscape, the music fits PERFECTLY with their vocals. I love Likey but don't know where to put it hahahaha.
I just woke up from a nap, that opening almost made me asphyxiate-- Some standouts of the rankings for me because I generally have a hard time attributing numbers to favorites, I'd rather have entire lists with justifications that entirely summarize that image of Marge going "I just think they're neat :D" Fake & True: I, am a sucker, for the instrumental. Kura Kura: Jeongyeon was beautiful in the MV, and it was one of the first dances from Twice I went, "Wow, this is beautiful." Happy Happy: Breakthrough may be the It Girl, but Happy Happy is my sleeper agent activation to not being depressed (Also we were robbed of a performance or dance of Happy Happy, like how was Breakthrough too much dancing in the MV and Happy Happy have literally no dance in it? I cannot, the thirty second clip is too cute of a performance and it cannot be that short.) Fanfare: Loved the formations, loved the brass instruments throughout the song. This song + Fake & True carried me through high school. BDZ: If Sergeant Yoo Jeongyeon sends me to war, I'm goin in like a BDZ, like a tank, like a soldier (LETS GO- LETS GO) Candy Pop: The animated JYP in the music video haunts me, like ok Brock from Pokemon save these 9 girls for me tyvm. Outside of that, the clip of Jeongyeon singing will always solidify her as my bias- like she was PROJECTING in that performance. Cry For Me: I want JYPE to cry for me for not making the MV, and only having one or two performances (I don't remember) One Spark: They made it for me-- They knew I loved Sonic the Hedgehog-esque sounds-- Its for me ok. Perfect World: One of the first times a member edited a teaser to a song (God Bless you Nayeon I can't wait for your comeback ^-^), and it led to MORE JYP Clownery due to JYPE's Habit(?) of spoiling entire parts. Outside of that, the choreo is insane, the song is a bop, Jihyo is God, what more can I say? Scientist: Recently, the whole "I've done (X) for years, and their technique is really bad/good" on Twitter made me laugh super hard because they used an opener to a Scientist performance, and its like "Where is the PPE? Her hair isn't up, why are you mixing chemicals like that?" idk something about Tzuyu mixing the two colored liquids makes me chuckle after the whole meme. Oh wait my actual rating? Uhh, Repeat SMF (Also the whole album was really good, favorite B-Side is between Espresso, F.I.L.A and Rewind). More & More: It got me into Kpop, so I can either really hate it or love it depending on the day. Still love it tho (also the hair and styling this comeback was peak, argue with the wall) Moonlight Sunrise: Outside of a couple B-sides, certain early title tracks, and a couple outliers in their whole discography, this was one of the first raps in recent years that actually surprised me. Chaeyoung's "Got a craving baby, can you feed it." lives in my head rent free, and hearing it in concert was a magical experience. Certified WOMEN music if I'm allowed to say it. The Feels: People can hate the Prom concept, but as a Sweet Tea-Blooded, Cheeseburger ingesting, Ammunition Firing, Eagle screeching American, it was adorable, and while I never had as extravant proms, it was so American Teen coming of age film that I really enjoy the song (Also the Teaser with Tzuyu was so hype, like I seriously thought they were gonna go Charlie's Angels or maybe like a spy route, granted I was completely wrong but Talk that Talk happened so I was KINDA right?) Knock Knock: ah, the Winter of 2021, the first time I listened to it. I let my TV autoplay music on RUclips and it came across this song, which uh, yeah, it cemented itself on my winter playlist. Signal: I was Kombucha girl on this song for the longest time. I didn't hate it, but I didn't know if I liked it either. I love it now though, and I remember being so hopeful it would've been an encore song during the concert I went to (We got TT, which while not bad, isn't Signal to me) Alcohol Free: For Starters, Jeongyeon. After that, The instrumental is 100% concentrated summer. My favorite part has to be the second verse, Dahyun singing while the members crab dance with her as the instrumental makes a fun switch up. (Also as a latino myself, I NEVER THOUGHT ABOUT THAT I KINDA NEED THAT NOW) I Can't Stop Me: The styling, the instrumental, the teaser that spoiled the entire chorus-- I mean the strong chorus! Doughnut: While others were blasting Mariah Carey during the Christmas Season, I was blasting TWICE branded CLUE til it got certified platinum (In my room). Likey: I don't really have a connection to this song, I just remember the day that their B-Side + Sana almost hospitalized an entire stadium of ONCE's. It was a glorious day, praise Rollin'. Talk That Talk: Loved the Title Track and its concept, along with the B-sides. Like oml Queen of Hearts!? Blame it on Me!? Wallflower?! Got the Thrills?! My only gripe is no Wallflower Performance, like I can imagine the sensual vibes, warm wood and incandescent light with Neon signs. It would've given performance in a bar locale with some funky disco attire or even suits- I, I need it ok ;-;. I need to make a pinterest board or sneak into JYP to make my selfish desires a reality at some point...
Haha 😭 sorry for almost asphyxiating you I really agree with all of these justifications! Especially the point about Wallflower deserving more promotion, there are so many bsides where I wish we at least would’ve gotten a performance video, but now that I have the wallflower disco performance in mind, I need it so badly 😭
@@choujimi alright new summer vacation plan, infiltrate JYP Division that manages TWICE and next anniversary make some banger B-side performances (I have a semi-updated list >_>)
Ok i was struggling with the upload of a video, so why not light my mood with a Twice ranking drom the biggest once i know AND YES IT'S ME AND THE DTNA DEFENDERS AGAINST THE WORLD
I got into Twice really late. I think it was right before the release of Ready to Be. Off the top of my head my top is 1) I Can’t Stop Me 2) Fancy 3) DTNA 4 Likey 5) Yes or Yes Honorable Mentions are I Got You More and More The Feels Feel Special
I’m not a ONCE, but I’m a casual fan (it’s my sister’s ult group tho!). My top 3 are Breakthrough, TT, and Yes or Yes, closely followed by Like Ooh-Ahh.
Yeah youre far from being a hater. I wouldnt follow you if you were especially since theyre my ult girl group lol. My faves of twice i think are the feels, one spark, i got you, set me free, perfect world, breakthrough and cry for me
1:52 THANK YOU. I‘m always irritated when people include solo songs or MISAMO's sub-unit EP. TWICE’s discography is only consisting of group releases, not solos or sub-units 😭
Surprisingly I agree with most of your video. Feel Special in my opinion should be number one because all TWICE members agree on Feel Special being their best song.
I honestly don't know how you're able to rank all TWICE's title tracks because they're all so good. But I think I picked my most favorite TWICE songs based on how much emotional connection I had with them, LOL. My top TWICE's song is I Can't Stop Me because it's just so relatable. It will be my mood until I d*e. (Parasocial relationship is attacking pt. 1) The next one is Cry For Me because it's just a badass song. I definitely want to rank Perfect World as the third one, but Cheer up stole the spot, LOL. It's the first TWICE song I've ever heard (not even knowing K-Pop exists.) I just heard it being played in an infomercial or something where they're trying to sell a mop, LOL. Our mop was so old that time that I wanted to buy a new one and even wanted to dance while mopping like the woman in the ad, not really cared that much about the song that time, I guess I just wanted to dance while mopping. I just found the song catchy and moved on. (Parasocial relationship is attacking pt. 2) Next one should've been TT but Likey also stole the spot, it's still my top 4 ever since I checked out TWICE because I still have this mindset that TWICE talks about how many people based their worth on likes (which is a sad prevalent thing in our society) even though they're actually impressing their crush but still, point kinda stands. Next one is Moonlight Sunrise because the sounds of it is just so TWICE and the lyrics are wild, LOL. I love how it doesn't become unbearable to listen to, no matter how many times I play it. (Breakthrough honestly should've been the third one, but I became too obsessed with it that I kinda get the ‘erhm...’ vibes every time I listen to it after I played it too many times, same case as The Feels, TT, and Set Me Free even though I still love them.) God, it's so hard to pick the 5th one, but I think it's Fake and True. It's just so motivational for me, and they all look so pretty in that MV as always. (Parasocial relationship is attacking pt. 3) 6th one is DTNA, I try to play it every night, but I always fail miserably. I also used to listen to it at 12 AM in the terrace alone to get some air and stare at the sky while listening to it, and it's honestly what I'm doing that time when I decided to check out more TWICE songs. Life is so wonderful at that time.(Parasocial relationship is attacking pt. 4) 7th one is Fancy, same reason as Moonlight Sunrise. 8th is Celebrate because I just became a new ONCE on May 22, 2022, and still knowing the members names while trying to get used to them being chaotic ASF. (I'm honestly not comfortable with people being a dork if I don't know them that much, but now I could watch them being a dork for hours.) When I heard about TWICE possibly disbanding that time, I'm kinda disappointed because I'm just getting to know them, and now they're disbanding? Didn't know how close they're when they renewed their contracts that time, so it's honestly unexpected that they did it. Celebrate is like a gift for me as a new ONCE and like a warm welcome celebration for me being a new fan. I also cried reading the lyrics, I'm down during that time and Nayeon singing ‘You're precious…’ and Sana saying ‘We'll see each other eye to eye.’ (I guess it's the lyrics) I really wanted to meet them that time, so those lyrics almost made me cry, but I didn't because I don't have tears just like Nayeon. (Parasocial relationship is attacking pt. 50)9th one is Talk That Talk, it's definitely a TWICE song but a more mature one I must say. It's also the first Korean comeback they made after renewing their contracts and my first Korean comeback as a ONCE, so it's special for me. Plus, face-to-face classes in our country just resumed that time, and it gave me joy. I even remember listening to it while running late for the next subject, but I just didn't care, LOL.(Parasocial relationship is attacking pt. 98) 10th one is Alcohol-Free because I played that song out loud in front of our visitors, LOL. (Parasocial relationship is attacking pt. 99) I think that's it, I certainly enjoyed your ranking and TT is definitely a bop. I even recall two of my classmates, one of them being a ONCE, clowning the title because TT (not the actual spelling) in our language is not a good thing to say in public. Plus, I think that classmate of mine is just a new ONCE at that time because they're also clowning Momo's name, and Momo challenge was still trending that time. And I'm not even a ONCE at that time, so I didn't get why they're saying it, but now I do, and it feels like I'm really destined to be a ONCE. (Parasocial relationship is attacking pt. 100 as BDZ starts playing in the background, LOL.) This is a long yapping session but thank you for this video, choujimi!
Completely different to how I would rank those songs haha, but they have so many good title tracks, it makes sense that there could be about a hundred different rankings haha As a reveluv I’ve always loved signal, it’s so cute and quirky, I think people (and I’d include myself there if I’m being honest) just never got over Mnet slighting RV that year, bc they had beef with SM…
Disagree with alot of these placements but everyone has their tastes. Also I don't think ur hater people need to normalize criticizing your favs. If you can't critique your favs I think you're a pretty mindless zombie of a fan.
Only real once know about I want you back😭😭😭.nooo why is best thing I ever did so low. The vocal for that song is so good:(. Fake true is not that good at all. Like it’s not the worse but it’s meh. Perfect world should be way higher. Like one of their best Japanese tracks. Wake me up dance break is so good. More and more is so special to me bc it came out during the pandemic where I was bored and lonely .i agree that yes or yes really set it up for fancy and fell special
definitely special mentions to one more time, candy pop, tt, knock knock, likey, heart shaker!!, the feels, what is love, dance the night away, talk that talk, yes or yes and signal !
Owki first time seeing this channel and I am loving it so far but Cry For Me! I have forgiven you for others but not that! XD JK Love the ranking XD Edit: NOT ALCOHOL FREE TOO XD well at first HAHAHAHAHAHAHA Edit 2: Forgiven for Yes or Yes, Feel Special, Doughnut, Likey and lost me XD HAHAHAHHA I love all of the songs and the video AHAHAAHHA just having fun watching XD.
I hated Talk that Talk for the longest time and I have no idea why it’s so good 😭 I think I was just salty ppl hated scientist ngl I go5 over it tho and I like it now lol
Lol, so true. I kind of think that only Nayeon, Jihyo, Tzuyu, and Mina got actual lines. Dubchaeng got crumbs, Momo got nonono and oh yeah, Jeongyeon got 1 verse and yeah yeah, Sana got a small part in chorus.
I always thought jeongyeon sang the adlibs but i guess not😭 Im not one of the people to complain too much of jeongyeon's lines but this song had a literal 3 chorus part it's so weird how nayeon gets two instead of sharing one for jeongyeon
@@Prototype09 ikr, Heartshaker is literally Jihyo, Tzuyu, and Mina ft. jeongyeon and Mina (I included them because they had actual verses, Rap Line and Sana basically got short lines of background voices
I didn't listen to Twice earlier eps in full, but I skimed through their earlier eps, and I am not a fan of them. Twice are known for their iconic bubblegum and sweet pop title tracks in the rookie years, and then, their creative direction had shifted into something mature and refined during the fancy era. I got into Twice during 2019 at Feel Special Era. However, after their renewment with the company, I found that there is a sudden shift in music quality. They shifted from music that were vibrant with city pop, synth pop, and the authentic brass sound of late 70s/early 80s retro to ones that follow the current trends of K-pop and ones that are going through the motions of their comebacks just like More and More and I Can't Stop Me. But with More and More and I Can't Stop Me, these albums are still better than whatever the Talk that Talk, Set Me Free, and One Spark albums were. Since Talk That Talk, the albums became monotonous and flat to me, and with One Spark, the tracks in that ep, begin to sound like they lack in their shine and blend into each other with synthpop. I experienced a sudden disconnect with these eps.
Their worst title track by far is More & More, it's just very repetitive and not very well-composed in general in COMPARISON to the rest. That said, it's still great somehow.
BYE THE INTRO
FR 😭

I've been a once since 2020 and I literally understood what you meant in the twice westernization video, idk why some onces are like this 😭
I really respect you for taking criticism as a opportunity for growth as a creator. To me the Twice westernization video was really good, well argued and definitely not worthy of doubting your Once-card. Even so, taking time to try to be more clear and minimizing misunderstanding is admirable, even if sometimes it can feel like shouting into the depths of futility.
totally agree !!
you soooo saved yourself with TT being #1. I found TT by twice in 2017 due to TT!!
Your Twice videos always eat omg
Whenever Twice releases what I call a “friendship is magic/our longevity as a group” song it’s an immediate hit for me and I will die on the hill defending them!
Songs I consider this “genre”:
Celebrate
One Spark
Feel Special
I Got You
You Get Me
Damn they have so many singles
ETA: also I think Scientist has the best Momo line delivery in their entire discography imo. It’s so addictive. Deserves more love for that reason.
Agreed. Maybe Momo's best era in terms of vocals.
"I will take a bullet for any Twice song" is a phrase that I have first heard from you, and now I use it every time I can for groups that I think have no skip discography. (Imo TWICE and STAYC)

Anyways, my top 15 (I can't rank all of em it's too hard 😭) would prolly be still like the last time, just with One Spark and I Got You mixed in haha.
1. The Feels
2. Talk that Talk
3. One Spark
4. More & More
5. Likey
6. Alcohol Free/ DTNA
7. Cheer Up
8. Fancy
9. Celebrate
10. Moonlight Sunrise
11. Feel Special
12. Like Ooh Aah
13. BDZ
14. I Want You Back
15. Fanfare
Keep up the good work choujimi! I might not have been watching much of your recent stuff, but I'm still rooting for you 💪🏻
F**k the haters. 🔥🔥🔥
😮 kura kura is my favorite japanese song
Mine too, it's an easy top 5 for me
YOUR MY FAVORITE ONCE! I love how you are so specific and how you are so thoughtful when talking about TWICE! Love your content STAN TWICE
INTRO GOES HARD 🔥🔥
TT is what got me into twice! It's perfect imo, I love love that Dahyun chorus. I learned each member by rewatching the TT dance practices over and over
im so glad to seee someone who thinks TTT ranks that high, because how did they get robbed of any awards?
Omg real TTT is such an amazing song with an amazing concept
I've your list and reflecting on all of the different eras I'd TWICE.
I think my top 5 has to be
YES!!!
that intro was perfection HELLOOOO
The westernization video is literally a defense of twice and half the groups that get sh*t for it. Who ever is hating clearly isn’t getting it 😭
clock itttt
The fact that even tho I relate Alcohol-Free with one of my exes, I've never hated it or tried to avoid listening to it - I stream it daily even - proves how good it is (and how much I love it too)
ahh i’m so late commenting cause time zones but i love love this video cause i never fully listened to twice so it was fun ranking
I know you're excited about Naeyon's solo comeback
I am 😭 I really didn’t think we’d get another comeback so soon
When knock knock came out, I was alone in my London terrible rented tiny house dealing with a terrible tutor and ddl for my first year assessment, I remembered during the part of the mv where they read the picture book from TT, I started tearing up, such a a special song to me.
you always deliver omgg ily
I LOVE FAKE AND TRUE

A fellow Brand New Girl defender, brings a tear to my eye :)
NEVER STOP MAKING UR VIDS I LOVE U!!
nevermind you just ranked celebrate and fake & true so low 😭😭🙏 i take back everything nice I said
i would loooveeee if you did rankings for solo/sub-units mama
MAMA 2017 SONG OF YHE YEAR WAS ABSOLUTELY😭😭😭😭
TTT is and will be the moment
I really love the entire More & More album. It's probably my favorite album, tbf. I have a on/off relationship with Twice, but this album tried to convert me into a full-time Once. And Signal? I have loved that song since the first listen. The fact that others just don't get it makes me so sad.
I loved the intro 🤣
Babe wake up choujimi uploaded
I never see enough appreciation for Heart Shaker!! One of their BEST songs!!
TT is also so important to me I 100% agree
they don't make kpop songs like that anymore😕
I love watching critical & analytical video !!!
First of all, another great video, I love your content so much. I really appreciate the inclusion of Japanese singles, because I actually prefer them a lot of the time and they are definitely not talked about as much as they should!
Well, I definitely think your ranking is good, don't get me wrong, but some of the songs are criminally low for me 😭
My top 12 (10 is too little) as of now:
1. BDZ ( 11/10 song accompanied by the best MV ever made)
2. Swing (I don't think I can even explain this, but I love it very deeply)
3. I Got You (the nostalgic vibes make me cry pretty regularly)
4. Cry For Me (boy oh boy, this song is something else, if I ever become a villain, this is the vibe I'll be going for)
5. Yes or Yes (still my idea of peak Twice when it comes to Korean releases, this song is everything to me, the intro is legendary)
6. Kura Kura (The hype this song gave me when it came out is incomparable. Best Spring vibes)
7. Scientist (If I am a number 1 defender of something, then it's this song, I LOVE it from all the science references to the melody - amazing!)
8. I Can't Stop Me (the first Twice comeback I experienced and definitely one for the history books)
9. Alcohol Free (I didn't get it for the first 2 weeks and then I fell in love with it and it's one of those songs that when I put it on I know it's gonna be an amazing experience)
10. Candy Pop (It was one of my favourites when I got to know Twice and the fact that my all time favourite artist Sabrina Carpenter just randomly sang this song at her concerts means a lot to me)
11. Heart Shaker (the most unforgettable choreo, love it with my whole HEART 💞)
12. Brand New Girl (Great Twice song, I feel like they're giving me a makeover and I like it)
Brand New Girl and Yes or Yes appreciation, I love to see it 😁🙏 and also I definitely understand BDZ being number one, it’s such a good song!

@@HahaHaha-jx4le yup my most unpopular opinion
I just started ranking Twice's discography like a week ago stop reading my mind /jk no but I have no idea if my ranking will be for a video or not, but I'm with you as a defender for every single song
Loved this video! Love all what you had to see! I appreciate the shoutout to Yes or Yes. She really was foundational ❤❤❤
all i have to say is that we have to fight… fight over who is actually the #1 defender of knock knock, like i can fight you on most of these songs but i’m confident i will win the knock knock battle
stay by my side in the bottom CRIME 💀
this is the best list
I was quite shook with some picks here.
THAT INTRO HAHAHAHAHA
Here my list:
1. Feel Special
The lyrics, the time, sound, video, delivery, is just so hard to top in my opinion, a classic.
2. Talk That Talk
Fun, refined, interesting but familiar.
3. What is Love?
For me, this is the one that captures the group as a concept and vibe in the best way.
4. TT/Like Ooh Ahh
PEAK, KPOP AT ITS BEST.
5. Alcohol Free
Refreshing, unexpected, adds variety to their discography but without leaving their brand.
6. Perfect World
I APOLOOGIIIZEEEE... Similar to Alcohol Free, adds so much to their discography and image, really strong.
7. Fancy
The transition to a more mature concept, but keep it fun.
8. Doughnut
P E A K. THE VIBE? mystery fantasy drama winter ode. Amazing delivery. UNIQUE, that's what u are.
9. I Can't Stop Me
A lot of the b-sides in this album are way better, but this one does a great job as a title track, captures attention to dive into a whole experience.
10. Better/Kura Kura
Soundscape, the music fits PERFECTLY with their vocals.
I love Likey but don't know where to put it hahahaha.
I just woke up from a nap, that opening almost made me asphyxiate--
Some standouts of the rankings for me because I generally have a hard time attributing numbers to favorites, I'd rather have entire lists with justifications that entirely summarize that image of Marge going "I just think they're neat :D"
Fake & True: I, am a sucker, for the instrumental.
Kura Kura: Jeongyeon was beautiful in the MV, and it was one of the first dances from Twice I went, "Wow, this is beautiful."
Happy Happy: Breakthrough may be the It Girl, but Happy Happy is my sleeper agent activation to not being depressed (Also we were robbed of a performance or dance of Happy Happy, like how was Breakthrough too much dancing in the MV and Happy Happy have literally no dance in it? I cannot, the thirty second clip is too cute of a performance and it cannot be that short.)
Fanfare: Loved the formations, loved the brass instruments throughout the song. This song + Fake & True carried me through high school.
BDZ: If Sergeant Yoo Jeongyeon sends me to war, I'm goin in like a BDZ, like a tank, like a soldier (LETS GO- LETS GO)
Candy Pop: The animated JYP in the music video haunts me, like ok Brock from Pokemon save these 9 girls for me tyvm. Outside of that, the clip of Jeongyeon singing will always solidify her as my bias- like she was PROJECTING in that performance.
Cry For Me: I want JYPE to cry for me for not making the MV, and only having one or two performances (I don't remember)
One Spark: They made it for me-- They knew I loved Sonic the Hedgehog-esque sounds-- Its for me ok.
Still love it tho (also the hair and styling this comeback was peak, argue with the wall)
Moonlight Sunrise: Outside of a couple B-sides, certain early title tracks, and a couple outliers in their whole discography, this was one of the first raps in recent years that actually surprised me. Chaeyoung's "Got a craving baby, can you feed it." lives in my head rent free, and hearing it in concert was a magical experience. Certified WOMEN music if I'm allowed to say it.
The Feels: People can hate the Prom concept, but as a Sweet Tea-Blooded, Cheeseburger ingesting, Ammunition Firing, Eagle screeching American, it was adorable, and while I never had as extravant proms, it was so American Teen coming of age film that I really enjoy the song (Also the Teaser with Tzuyu was so hype, like I seriously thought they were gonna go Charlie's Angels or maybe like a spy route, granted I was completely wrong but Talk that Talk happened so I was KINDA right?)
Knock Knock: ah, the Winter of 2021, the first time I listened to it. I let my TV autoplay music on RUclips and it came across this song, which uh, yeah, it cemented itself on my winter playlist.
Signal: I was Kombucha girl on this song for the longest time. I didn't hate it, but I didn't know if I liked it either. I love it now though, and I remember being so hopeful it would've been an encore song during the concert I went to (We got TT, which while not bad, isn't Signal to me)
Alcohol Free: For Starters, Jeongyeon. After that, The instrumental is 100% concentrated summer. My favorite part has to be the second verse, Dahyun singing while the members crab dance with her as the instrumental makes a fun switch up. (Also as a latino myself, I NEVER THOUGHT ABOUT THAT I KINDA NEED THAT NOW)
I Can't Stop Me: The styling, the instrumental, the teaser that spoiled the entire chorus-- I mean the strong chorus!
Haha 😭 sorry for almost asphyxiating you
I really agree with all of these justifications!
Ok i was struggling with the upload of a video, so why not light my mood with a Twice ranking drom the biggest once i know
AND YES IT'S ME AND THE DTNA DEFENDERS AGAINST THE WORLD
I hope the copyright is solved soon 😭 Warner Music Japan does not mess around
I got into Twice really late. I think it was right before the release of Ready to Be. Off the top of my head my top is
1) I Can’t Stop Me
2) Fancy
3) DTNA
4 Likey
5) Yes or Yes
Honorable Mentions are
I Got You
More and More
The Feels
Feel Special
Nothing else but to suscribe !
The intro made laugh 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 we had to be there
I’m not a ONCE, but I’m a casual fan (it’s my sister’s ult group tho!). My top 3 are Breakthrough, TT, and Yes or Yes, closely followed by Like Ooh-Ahh.
Top 5
TT
Kura Kura
The Feels
Fake and True(although it for of flatlines near the end for me)
Moonlight Sunrise
Yeah youre far from being a hater. I wouldnt follow you if you were especially since theyre my ult girl group lol. My faves of twice i think are the feels, one spark, i got you, set me free, perfect world, breakthrough and cry for me
1:52
THANK YOU. I‘m always irritated when people include solo songs or MISAMO's sub-unit EP. TWICE’s discography is only consisting of group releases, not solos or sub-units 😭
yes now also considering the fact that maknae line & jeong haven't done anything solo & nayeon is coming back with another album.
Surprisingly I agree with most of your video. Feel Special in my opinion should be number one because all TWICE members agree on Feel Special being their best song.
YoY was my first comeback with TWICE 😭
I m living for the intro 😂
My top 5 definitely includes fancy, feel special, and talk that talk but don’t ask me the other two or the order, its so hard to choose 😭
I gasped at Swing’s position 😢😢❤❤
FINALLY SOMEONE WHO ACTUALLY LIKES BRAND NEW GIRL ITS SO SHOUJO GIRL
#36.. kura kura.. their best song released in all history.. one of their best music videos. onces are right you are a FAKE ONCE!
What of Dance Again ?
Whats your thoughts process making the intro 😂
Do top 50 bsides.
Feel Special is definitely my favorite TWICE title track, but Doughnut the best japanese one :)
I DON'T WANNA HATE YOU BUT DO YOU REALLY THINK FAKE & TRUE IS THEIR WORST JAPANESE TITLE TRACK????? because honestly it's their best in my opinion.
Completely different to how I would rank those songs haha, but they have so many good title tracks, it makes sense that there could be about a hundred different rankings haha
As a reveluv I’ve always loved signal, it’s so cute and quirky, I think people (and I’d include myself there if I’m being honest) just never got over Mnet slighting RV that year, bc they had beef with SM…
Please do like top 20 bside !!
idk abt my ranking yet but i do know that fancy is #1 and i like twice :D
definitely special mentions to one more time, candy pop, tt, knock knock, likey, heart shaker!!, the feels, what is love, dance the night away, talk that talk, yes or yes and signal !
JUSTICE FOR SWING! /lh
Owki first time seeing this channel and I am loving it so far but Cry For Me! I have forgiven you for others but not that! XD JK Love the ranking XD
Edit: NOT ALCOHOL FREE TOO XD well at first HAHAHAHAHAHAHA
Edit 2: Forgiven for Yes or Yes, Feel Special, Doughnut, Likey and lost me XD HAHAHAHHA I love all of the songs and the video AHAHAAHHA just having fun watching XD.
I hated Talk that Talk for the longest time and I have no idea why it’s so good 😭 I think I was just salty ppl hated scientist ngl I go5 over it tho and I like it now lol
The fact that hare hare is on top of cry for me? Imma jump off my bed😭
P.s: ik it's your opinion but it's criminal.
Fake and true….that low….oh you’re DONEEEEE
The Heart Shaker is a good song but it's the line distribution that made me hate to listen to it 😭
Lol, so true. I kind of think that only Nayeon, Jihyo, Tzuyu, and Mina got actual lines. Dubchaeng got crumbs, Momo got nonono and oh yeah, Jeongyeon got 1 verse and yeah yeah, Sana got a small part in chorus.
I always thought jeongyeon sang the adlibs but i guess not😭
Im not one of the people to complain too much of jeongyeon's lines but this song had a literal 3 chorus part it's so weird how nayeon gets two instead of sharing one for jeongyeon
@@Prototype09 ikr, Heartshaker is literally Jihyo, Tzuyu, and Mina ft. jeongyeon and Mina (I included them because they had actual verses, Rap Line and Sana basically got short lines of background voices
You missed just be yourself 😢
Wait, i dont know brand new girl…
I definitely disagree with majority of this list except What is Love, Talk that Talk and Likey!!!!!! ALSO FANCY SUPREMACY
I was a knock2 hater 😔🤚
Someone pointed out the constant inflating/deflating sound during TY and it’s so annoying and has genuine ruined the song for me cry😂 😭
BREAKTHROUGH ROBBED WHAT??
Wow 43
Im gonna try to do this too
the intro is taking me out lmaooooo💀💀💀
Their worst title track by far is More & More, it's just very repetitive and not very well-composed in general in COMPARISON to the rest.
That said, it's still great somehow.
I love more & more 😩
i would love to do a ranking like this but i would get tore into bc i genuinely think more & more is my number 1 🫣
