makeup isn't a new thing, even ancient egyptians had makeup(both male and female), people just understood that makeup was temporary thing for special occasions rather than an everyday thing

I think what women tend to forget to discuss is how differently we are treated when we wear makeup. Without makeup, a lot of us weren’t approached, were ignored. When we started wearing makeup in middle and high school, guys would give you more attention, they were nicer, they even striked up random conversations that you never got without makeup. Women recognize this and it obviously affects how they view makeup onforward.
While this is true, a conventionally non-attractive woman can wear makeup and look a lot better. People are out complaining about this, and yet no one talks about if you are a conventionally unattractive man it would take so much more effort to look good.
I never experienced this, so I wouldn’t say this is necessarily “truth.” The thing is, when you wear makeup, most women feel more confident, and their behavior changes accordingly. They may not even be aware of it, but if they are thinking “I look good today” then they carry themselves with that attitude, and that naturally tends to attract more attention. Additionally, if you’re dressing up, it can be interpreted as a mating call - aka that you are looking for a mate, therefore guys might view you as more receptive. Not wearing makeup can be seen as not making an effort because they aren’t interested. Makeup or not, much of attraction is actually in the attitude of the individuals. People that are confident are naturally more attractive. Sometimes that confidence comes from makeup, in which case you’re more likely to feel dependent on being fully made up every time you’re in public.
If you allow others to see more of your natural face more often it will become the new normal and people won’t think anything of it eventually. I feel like most people aren’t judging you about looking “unpretty” but if makeup changes your face that much there’s no surprise they need a second to fully recognize you. For example, at my job there was a new person and I’ve only ever seen them in a mask so when I saw them during lunch without a mask for the first time I had to take a second. They weren’t ugly but I’ve just simply never seen half of their face before lol.

I’m 40 and have never regularly worn makeup. I decided as a teenager I never wanted to feel like I was dependent on it to feel okay about myself. I look older now but still love my natural face. I had a friend once tell me when I was in my 20s that guys won’t like if I don’t care about how I present myself (she meant wearing makeup) but I always found the opposite to be true. No guy ever dismissed me for not wearing makeup.
As someone who wears makeup rarely, taking it off is annoying and sometimes the feeling of it is gross. But, it makes me feel more put together especially for like a dinner or a major event. It doesn't make me feel like I am prettier with it. That is a distinction a lot of people should make.

If you want to change something in your life, learn to accept it. If you can’t accept it, learn to change it. When I was younger it took me a long time to understand that it's okay to not have everyone like you or change your whole identity of who you are based of someone else's opinion. Unless if you have things you want to improve on whether its being more healthy, not having too many addictions that will put you in a place of regret and disappointment, its your own happiness and validation within yourself that is the most important instead of seeking the approval of others because in the end if you care about people's approval then you will be their prisoner. The main reason I wear makeup is because my skin doesn’t look good. I naturally have dark circles under my eyes and get breakouts randomly, so concealer is a must. I never feel like I need eye makeup or lipstick, but I do like to wear lip colors just for fun.

One of the signs is lack of movement within her face and the fact that she has no wrinkles is a dead giveaway. Botox prevents movement in your face in order to not create wrinkles her face is very stiff

Makeup is an interesting topic. I woild prefer a natural woman. But i also want a woman who is at her best and most confident when shes with me. If makeup gives her that confidence than so be it.
The more makeup you wear, the more you'll need it. I only wear makeup a few times a month, but it's also not full face. I wear makeup to cover blemishes and scaring. I'm also thankful that my husband prefers me without it, which helps me to not wear it as much. My heart goes out to those who feel like they, "NEED IT." It can be addicting for many women.

A better analogy with your ex would be a comparison of when he shaved his beard and you didn't like it, to you shaving your head (or not shaving your body) and him not liking it. i used to do foundation and black mascara and concealer now i hardly even touch it i use gel mascara to straighten my naturally long n curly lashes lip gloss with a tint if necessary, arch my naturally messy eyebrows, and if im feeling it then i’d do some eyeshadow but its not even worth it anymore
tbh I just feel more put together when I do it and less like I just rolled outta bed and showed up. Once I decided not to do any and all my teachers asked if I was okay. I apparently looked exhausted (I was) so for me, makeup makes me feel a hell of a lot more confident

I started working in fast food recently, and it blows my mind how many women I only knew from social media look absolutely nothing like they portray themselves to, and doubly so without makeup. I'll look at the name on the debit card and I'll have to do a double take because the name is familiar but the person in front of me is not at all. It's even the same for women who I'm acquainted with in the real world but who I've only seen with makeup...people really don't care how they look for the dude at the drive thru window and getting that perspective has honestly changed the way I view makeup and filters and women's appearances in general.
I used to work at KFC and my boss wore a lot of eye makeup, she went especially hard on the mascara. When I got another job as a pharmacy cashier, she was in line at my counter and I did NOT recognize her until she spoke to me! I couldn’t hide my shock and I said « that’s you? » and she said « yeah I know, I’m not wearing any makeup ». It was soooo awkward but she was unrecognizable. 😆
My girl never wears makeup. And last week she tried mascara for a party. And although it was a very small change. I don’t know if I really liked it. She’s naturally beautiful so I didn’t really know how to feel about it haha
I dont necessarily have an issue with make up. It can make a girl look a lot more attractive. But you also have to look attractive without makeup on or its a huge turn off.
To be honest, in my opinion, if they do skincare, they will look much better. Use micellar water, double cleanse, serum, toner and moisturizer. You are set if you follow this.

I read the comments on the og video and it just got me heated cause they just blamed it on "beauty standards" and "society" aka men. but when a woman doesn't wear makeup or wears minimal makeup.. they'll almost insult her. The only ppl shaming women for wearing or not wearing makeup are women. It's a standard created by women for women. Men didn't make it and men still prove that they prefer natural beauty.
To put this simple. Society is based on women an ran towards them and for them. Most physical standards are based from women. Man or woman. Men workout for women and etc.

I don’t agree with this. In many hip hop songs, they rap about their physical preferences which is based on mostly men’s physical preferences. Also, there is body shaming and a biological preference that men have for certain women.
sure, women are a part of upholding beauty standards, but nowhere near as much as men. the whole reason beauty standards exist are because of the patriarchy (and this goes for men too, even if it isn't called a "beauty standard").

If you want to change something in your life, learn to accept it. If you can’t accept it, learn to change it. When I was younger it took me a long time to understand that it's okay to not have everyone like you or change your whole identity of who you are based of someone else's opinion. Unless if you have things you want to improve on whether its being more healthy, not having too many addictions that will put you in a place of regret and disappointment, its your own happiness and validation within yourself that is the most important instead of seeking the approval of others because in the end if you care about people's approval then you will be their prisoner. The courage to be disliked is the key that opens the prison doors and sets you free to be the person you’ve always wanted to be.

Generally, guys like to see girls in their naturally element. And makeup doesn't enhance anything. If a guy doesn't find a girl attractive in a natural element, putting makeup on won't change anything. As guys we have this conversation and for most guys makeup is pointless. Most women actually look better naturally. Some of these caked up faces look like literal clown stuff or like movie set makeup. Just extra and off putting. Finding a woman who is confident in who she is naturally, is a blessing. Society/Media deludes women into thinking they need makeup when its just false.
To put the blame entirely on Media/Society would be false. Although it is partly true, who in the media made women want to wear makeup in the first place? Makeup also definitely can enhance many features, even though it’s not used that way for the most time. You’d agree that when a painter or drawer highlights something or even lines it more dramatically, it’s enhancing it so it’s more visible to the eye. When you grow up seeing men only giving time and attraction to women that do wear makeup, do surgeries and fillers, what impression do you think that gives off. Women don’t wear makeup for nothing, and half of them wear it for personal interests. Lots of women often get made fun by men of for their natural features, especially during puberty, and feel they need to change it. Makeup is the easy way without permanent changes to your face and I think we should recognize the other possibilities instead of shifting the blame to one particular thing.
Do you know that most women put make up on just cause it’s fun to apply, we females love doing things like skincare, make up & our hair.. it makes us feel good. We females don’t do it to attract men, we do it for ourselves because we feel good doing it??.. if you are a real men you need to accept females with & without make up, you’ll see her without at home & with when you guys go out.. periodt

The main reason I wear makeup is because my skin doesn’t look good. I naturally have dark circles under my eyes and get breakouts randomly, so concealer is a must. I never feel like I need eye makeup or lipstick, but I do like to wear lip colors just for fun.

Botox prevents movement in your face in order to not create wrinkles her face is very stiff

Well it seems they’re a trans woman because they asked about pre/post transitioning, so the point was probably to have the perspective of someone who once presented as a man and did one type of makeup but transitioned into a woman and does a different type of makeup now, especially since makeup is often seen as feminine and a trans person might see makeup as a tool to pass more

The more makeup you wear, the more you'll need it. I only wear makeup a few times a month, but it's also not full face. I wear makeup to cover blemishes and scaring. I'm also thankful that my husband prefers me without it, which helps me to not wear it as much. My heart goes out to those who feel like they, "NEED IT." It can be addicting for many women.

it is very different, a beard is natural. makeup is an item outside of the body which is added onto the face. A beard just grows WITHOUT adding anything to your body.

I am actually telling from experience that I have an ex that I thought was extremely attractive that had a big full on beard, then one day during our relationship he shaved it off and I could not believe what I saw and I thought to myself we probably wouldn’t even have been together If the day we met he didn’t have a beard. So it is a choice Just the same way make up is a choice for us that completely changes your appearance. Luckily I’m with my forever now and have been together for 6 years and I’m happy my other relationships didn’t work out lol but it basically is the same thing. A better analogy with your ex would be a comparison of when he shaved his beard and you didn't like it, to you shaving your head (or not shaving your body) and him not liking it. i use gel mascara to straighten my naturally long n curly lashes
lip gloss with a tint if necessary, arch my naturally messy eyebrows, and if im feeling it then i’d do some eyeshadow

I love make up but unfortunately I can’t wear it I have very sensitive skin and it makes me itchy and uncomfortable. But being honest I think not wearing make up help me a lot too overcome a lot of my insecurities, there’s days I just can’t deal with it and force my self to wear make up, but it’s very rare that o do that now.

I started working in fast food recently, and it blows my mind how many women I only knew from social media look absolutely nothing like they portray themselves to, and doubly so without makeup. I'll look at the name on the debit card and I'll have to do a double take because the name is familiar but the person in front of me is not at all. It's even the same for women who I'm acquainted with in the real world but who I've only seen with makeup...people really don't care how they look for the dude at the drive thru window and getting that perspective has honestly changed the way I view makeup and filters and women's appearances in general.
I used to work at KFC and my boss wore a lot of eye makeup, she went especially hard on the mascara. When I got another job as a pharmacy cashier, she was in line at my counter and I did NOT recognize her until she spoke to me! I couldn’t hide my shock and I said « that’s you? » and she said « yeah I know, I’m not wearing any makeup ». It was soooo awkward but she was unrecognizable. 😆

I dont necessarily have an issue with make up. It can make a girl look a lot more attractive. But you also have to look attractive without makeup on or its a huge turn off.

Use micellar water, double cleanse, serum, toner and moisturizer. You are set if you follow this.
