This is a Tribute to the Battles and Operations that took place on this date 80 years ago that forever changed history and influenced us as creators, historians, movie buffs and gamers alike.
And when he gets to Heaven,
To Saint Peter he will tell:
One more soldier reporting sir -
I've served my time in Hell
That opening line still brings chills every time I revisit that game.

Brother in qrms RTH30?
The fact that this very important event is history of humanity has not been honored today, not even in the news , makes me so mad and sad
In America? That's wild if so. Honoured here in the UK at least
Yeah in America there's only like one news story addressing that d day happened, then it's back to the normal programming. There is no holiday from what I can tell that pays respect to those who fought on D-Day
It is in the news in Spain... And we didn't participate in ww2
It was news in Brazil, at least, as we participated in the war too.
Those who dont learn from history are doomed to repeat it. those who prevent history being taught fully intend to repeat it.
Can't believe it's been 80 years
cant believe it took 80 years to realize Patton was right
what a waste
@bubblegumgun3292 Who was right about what
@@Aguy522 Patton, about exterminating the communist not just in Russia but at home aswell, the excuse the allies gave for war on Germany was the invasion of Poland, conveniently the allies want to brush aside communist Russia was part of that invasion, this shows it wasn't actually about Germany invading Poland, but Germanys true crime why rising up against the Zionist infiltration of nations as heads of power, a Germany ruled by Germans well the Zionist can't have that, Churchill was a traitorous pig, Patton realize it and saw America could fall victim to it as Russia and England did and they had him killed for it because. Patton was a Right winger who wasn't afraid to be speak out against the rise of zionism and more importantly specially due to his position as a Army leader his words had power to sway The america nation and make them preview to this conspiracy , to both communist and zionist he needed to be silence since he wasa threat to them both and they usually go hand in hand but for different goals.
why do you ask, did you think i didnt know why
@@bubblegumgun3292 Cope.
@@LaRavacholeliterally tell yourself that.
The saddest thing for me is that just like WW1, one day we will no longer see WW2 vets again
Good speed to those brave souls
That day is getting scarily close, I'm glad I have seen the brave souls who had to run through those hellish sands.
Peace to the fallen.
This was a victory for america as a whole. The women who worked in the war factories, the minorities that signed up despite how they were being treated at home & and everyone that signed up out of desperation for work.
The number of people uniting together just for this day makes my hair stand up. History is rarely if ever black and white, but it is surreal how close it was in world war two...
my great grandpa was on one of the first landing craft to hit omaha beach. he was wounded by a german hand grenade but was picked up by an american medic and was saved. he made it all the way through to the battle of the bulge and into germany. he brought back an officer’s armband off of a german he killed (he was a sharpshooter). if you have ever seen the picture of the three american soldiers shaking hands with the three soviet soldiers on the bridge on the elbe river, my great grandpa is the american soldier in the middle. i never met him (he passed before i was born), but i will honor him for the rest of my life
Holy shit your grandpa was in COD 1 ending???
@@guts-141 guess he might have been. it was probably sad knowing he shook hands with his allies only for them to become america’s next big enemy after ww2 ended
Your grandpa must've had some MAD dad lore
@@LuixWalkingDead21 yup
101st in landing craft?
I've been infatuated with anything WW2 since I was a young kid playing cod waw and this is a monumental anniversary that everyone should know , DDay honestly need to become a national holiday
Not just D-Day but also Midway because US Navy won againts Japan despite the odds stacked againts them on the same month & date
Right? Besides, we could use more holidays. 😉
I feel like that is honestly millennials as a whole. We grew up with proliferation of WW2 media that all began Saving Private Ryan, Medal of Honor, and Band of Brothers.
@@bullpupgaming708 Medal of Honor: Frontline was my gateway.
As someone who played the very first Medal Of Honor on the Ps One... god, that music. The perfect song to remember such an event in Human History.
Without the success of D-Day, the world we live in today may not exist.Peace to the fallen.
From the grandson of an Imperial Japanese soldier.
My father was part of the extras in Saving Private Ryan (Since it used reserves of the Irish Army, at the time, called the FCA, in the Normandy landing scene.)
To this day, he still jokes that he 'Made old men cry'.
Average Irishman
I love medal of honor main theme
Peace to the fallen 🫡
Jimmy Paterson would be proud
You're not Friedrich
@@Cat_in_The-Box That man was right. The uniform did not fit him. :)
Richard Winters would be proud
Honor the fallen. mad respect for sharing this man.
80 years. That’s how long a conflict that helped the Allies won WWII had happened.
Imagine what will happen today if those warriors didn't storm that beaches and dropped out of those airplanes...
The films, games, and shows of my youth. I'm so thankful that this media was able to make an impression on me and get interested in military history, but even more so, that I was still able to interact with some of the veterans of this war. Truly the greatest generation.
A huge thank you for those who fought against the Nazi war machine, whether a soldier, civilian or partisan. And a special thanks to the Brazilian "Smoking Snakes", for their service whilst liberating Italy.
Viva Brasil! Viva Liberdade!
It’s worth mentioning that he didn’t add cod Vanguard
A Zombie film is more authentic to WW2 than Vanguard.
@@munanchoinc 👏🏻
@munanchoinc So Dead Snow is more realistic than .50 Browning Machine Gun every weapon in existence
@@Aguy522 Dead Snow is not a WW2 Film. It's a Slasher movie set in the modern times with WW2 Zombie SS
@munanchoinc still more realistic
May we never forget.
On the 6th of June
On the shores of western Europe 1944
D-day upon us
Medic TF2:I never played medal of honor
WHAT
Wtf does that mean? Wth are people upvoting this retarded comment?
Did soldier play it though?
Medal of Honor Allied Assault was the greatest game ever to be made.
Props for the editing m8!
Respect for the heroes
This single day defined the future of mankind.
To those few who stormed the beaches. Your sacrifice will never be forgotten.
“Henry the Fifth was talking to his men and he said from this day to the ending of the world we and it shall be remembered. We lucky few, we band of brothers, for he who sheds his blood with me today shall be my brother.”
Man I literally cried at this.
Brave souls them boys were for all of us, I don't drink but if I did? Hell! A toast to every single one those grunts for putting their boots in the ground where most of us wouldn't dare to tread without fear.
And for some of us medal of Honor og's, a toast to Jimmy, a toast to Baker, a toast to Griffin, and a final toast to Holt
I’m a ww1 nerd but respect to the ww2 vets
Seeing all the history we have been working on, I am really proud that we keep that from disapearing. Great vid and ride on !
I was literally playing right now day of infamy with the DDay map.
Lest we forget.
Good stuff. We will never forget all of the heroes who fought that day, dead and living.
A pivotal moment in world history. God bless those who fought and suffered against the greatest tyranny. Their work and legacy lives through, and are still represented today.
So many Americans landing on Normandy, comment “rest in peace” for the Americans who died at the Normandy battle
Meanwhile the Brits, Canadians and French
This truly is a *Medal of Honor*
using a cover of medal of honor's frontline theme is pretty good, i tried using the actual thing for a video once and EA stabbed me in the neck with a copy write violation on a 20 year old game
Honour and glory to the liberators of Europe
o7
Never forget!
Where is Vanguard? Where is the drum mag garand ping?
The day of the days
Can't believe you didn't include the single greatest and mostest realisticest ww2 game, Conker: Live And Reloaded smh my head my head
we are very so far from the past
That’s quite a view
Aiming for Heaven while serving in Hell
Hey you could do something like this for market garden
Happy 80th Anniversary to the Biggest Landing and the deadliest battles to ever been landed in US History
Salute to the War Veterans and Soldiers that are Lucky enough to get through the bloodbath landing in the beaches in Northern France not just the US But the British and the Canadian as well
No vanguard?
I don't if it's funny that you don't include CoD Vanguard into the video
What?
