Great keyboard. Just purchased Korg Pa5X 76 note. Keybed has quality feel and action. Build quality is professional and robust. Display is gorgeous. Sounds and styles are exceptional. The triggering pads are a good addition, extremely versatile and useful (especially considering this is an arranger). Workflow has a learning curve, but one you'd expect when using a professional machine. Endlessly configurable (if you can work it out🤣....and I will).

Other than the major differences in build quality - to me the Genos2 sounds more like a "live concert" - where the Pa5X sounds more like a high bit studio recording or CD. If that makes any sense...
Funny you’re saying this. I‘m saying the exact opposite on every forum since a while. A hybrid of both pieces of gear would be a dream
It's the opposite for me, the Pa5x' sounds are more dynamic that it makes them sound like live playing, Genos2 sounds like it's a studio record

I have really not found problems with the OS. I love the 5x. It seems solid to me. It did not take long for me to feel secure to sell my Pa4x and I have not regretted at all the upgrade to the 5x
Great Woody. I appreciate your conversion from the synth man towards the solo entertainer with arranger keyboard ;-) Just kidding, arranger keyboards are so much fun and I live also in both worlds. I own a Korg PA3x (and have extensively tested the Pa5X) and a Genos 2 and I think Korg and Yamaha philosophies are so radically different in particular workflow, learning curve, complexity and hardware. Just look at the manuals where Korg has easily 4 times the content. Many restrictions with sound and style editing at Yamaha side, full freedom at Korg for the price of a harder to learn workflow and usage. Better Fatar keybed at Korg, "different" feeling of Yamaha's FSX keybed. More ease of use at Yamaha etc. Since you played around with the Genos 2 and the Pa5X what are your thoughts when comparing both flagship arragers?

Tasmin Archer is fierce when it comes to copyright strikes. ;-) Just kidding, hopefully you can fight it? I understand artists claiming monetization in some cases but a full on strike just seems absurd. They don't want their music to be heard anywhere, ever? They will fade into oblivion with that sort of mentality.
ok, so it's a claim not a strike, but people are more familiar with calling it strikes! artists aren't submitting copyright claims, but often fraudsters claiming to own other people's work, just to monetize many videos and cash grab.
@@WoodyPianoShack Well that is a relief. Strikes really suck, claims are just annoying... especially when it's some scammer. Leave it to those clowns to find and exploit any loophole they can for a payout. You'd think RUclips with all their tech would be able to figure out solutions for things of that nature. As it is, they seem to struggle at even policing all the comment scammers. All the fake "You've won a prize stuff" gets tiresome. Anyhow, glad it wasn't an actual strike... two more and you've be on a RUclips vacation! ;-)
@@WoodyPianoShackYeah, that happens from time to time. I gig for clubs and restaurants, and sometimes owners only want improvisational tunes to steer clear of copyright allegations. It's silly IMO, as covering a song should be a compliment to the original artist, in addition to enhancing the song's popularity.
@@AaronLester-rt7iuit’s likely to avoid paying performance rights organization license fees. In the US that is ASCAP, BMI, SESAC, etc.
This is the problem with premade tunes and melodies on any keyboard... some other clown has used them to make music and copyrighted them.
Its not important to have a video, we must have an WORKING OS, after almost 2 years!!! Korg???
i'm about 50 hours into mine and no issues so far. although i have noticed features where i would appreciate some workflow improvements.
oh, i can assure you that me making this unimportant video did not prevent korg developers from working on their software updates :)
I have Korg Pa5x from July 2022.
Sound is Great but the OS it must be fixed.
So many important Functions are not there:
-Style record
Undo
/Redo
-Quick Record
-Drum Kit Mapping and Kick and Snare Designation
Im working with DAW but on Device itself is very important to have this Functions like Quick Record.
I thought we were going into the BBC News report….

I hope you like the Korg Pa5x ! It's an incredible keyboard! I'm glad that you got to present Pa5x too ! I bought pa5x before Genos 2 appeared with the thought that when it appears I would sell pa5x and buy Genos 2. Unfortunately, when I saw how little Genos 2 offers compared to Pa5x, I immediately changed my mind! For me, Pa5x is the best arranger at the moment ! Out of the BOX it,s OK, Trying to Convert Set = 0/10
Sampling Edit and more is =10+10
Song list editing/converting = 0/10
Style Booth Editing and more = 0/10
Build Quality of the PA5X = 4/10 (Leds,Screen tilt, etc, Cracking Keys and much more!
OS is WAY BEHIND, Korg Team Needs to fix it , And people are not happy with it as now, Like i wrote, OUT OF THE BOX, Amazingly good, All that we have been waiting and what they promissed NO!

@@WoodyPianoShack Tack ska du ha för allt arbete du gör för alla, Det är super fint, hade ett möte med KORG i ENGLAND, senast i för igår, Mitt under en Demo, den hängde sig, pratar mycket med KORG om allt detta, men det verkar inte gå in i deras huvud, Annars BÄSTA KB, med stort B , speciellt, FX delen, Men som sagt, OS! är inget vidare just nu. Tänk o spela Wedding, och den hängde sig för mig mitt framför 350 Personer :( hur ska man förklara för alla ? vi alla hoppas på att dom fixar allt snart, nu har det gått 2 år av release.
