I don't fit your description of feminine, and I'm perfectly happy being the woman I am. I hate housework. I am more comfortable in a pair of faded jeans and a t-shirt than in heels and pearls. I do not currently own a dress or skirt. I only wear makeup when I am on stage. I am not my husband's subordinate. We are equals. We both bring home a paycheck, and we both contribute to the maintenance and upkeep of our home. If he wants the bathroom cabinets cleaned while I"m cleaning the kitchen cabinets, he cleans the bathroom cabinets. I love my daughter, but I hated being pregnant - the morning sickness that lasted all day for months, having my bladder kicked like a soccer ball, hemorrhoids the size of grapes, and a labor and delivery that almost killed us both. I decided after her birth that I would never do that again.
Lep P I agree with you and I think those teachings feminity Should be aware that not all women are called to be stay at home mothers. I have nothing against those who choose to stay at home but that's not general to all women.
Lep P I totally relate with you about pregnancy and house choes. I don't find washing up therapeutic as some women do. I do it because I have too can't wait to buy a dish washer. And I believe I am feminine.
