No lie, in all seriousness, I was worried about Hook's debut, but (especially for an in-ring debut) he did REALLY well. Fuego helped him without a doubt, but you can tell that he's Taz's kid. He has the moves DOWN. He can grapple, he has good looking strikes, and he has the submissions down. AND HE'S USING THE KATAHAJIME?? (Sorry, the REDRUM) Holy shit. I wasn't expecting much, but he really impressed me. DAMN good job, Hook.

I loved his match. A great homage to his OG pops. The high collar suplex, vicious forearms to the head and the submission at the end. Amazing debut. Look up Taz vs Sabu it was a tribute to that match.
The fans absolutely loved him even tho it was just a debut chanting "hook is gonna kill you" and "hook" throughout the match made me smile ngl he gonna be a star

When he perfectly executed that head and arm tazplex near the end of the match I seen Taz. You can tell Taz has really taken care of him and his development. Can’t wait to see more of him. Also, you can tell Taz was trying to keep his emotions in check on commentary. That was heartwarming. He was every inch the proud daddy.

Just watched AEW for the first time in a while and saw my first Hook match. over the month I saw people raving about him but wasn't sure why. I just saw my first hook match and as soon as he walked to the ring he instantly had star written all over him. Then he wrestled and was spot on. He has a real natural charisma that can't be taught. I hope AEW give him the ball and let him run when the time is right.
Hook was already a star before his first match now he's going to be another pillar and legend for AEW. They were so smart to build him up first before having him wrestle his first match. A star right there
