水戸駅（茨城県水戸市）から安積永盛駅（福島県郡山市）までの137.5kmを結ぶ本線と、上菅谷駅（茨城県那珂市）から常陸太田駅（茨城県常陸太田市）までの9.5kmを結ぶ支線で構成されるJR水郡線。そのうち福島県の区間は八溝山地と阿武隈高地の間を縫うように走り、四季折々の沿線の景色が美しい路線です。今回は、雪の残る早春と桜の美しい春爛漫の景色の中、福島県内を走る列車を7本撮影しました。
The JR Suigun Line consists of a main line that runs 137.5 km from Mito Station (Mito City, Ibaraki Prefecture) to Asakanagamori Station (Koriyama City, Fukushima Prefecture), and a branch line that runs 9.5 km from Kami-Sugaya Station (Naka City, Ibaraki Prefecture) to Hitachi-Ota Station (Hitachi0ta City, Ibaraki Prefecture). The section in Fukushima Prefecture weaves between the Yamizo Mountains and the Abukuma Highlands, and the scenery along the line changes with the seasons. This time, we took 7 trains running through Fukushima Prefecture amid the early spring scenery of lingering snow and the beautiful cherry blossoms in full bloom.
