- This video bring to you my personal and honest experience about Thunderbird 350X that I've taken on Leh trip. This is a two part series. In this part I'll be explaining all the cons or issues that I've faced along the trip with Thunderbird 350X.

The missing is because of the new BSIV setup. That is a pure design flaw from RE. We can't do anything.
But there is one thing. After i bought my TB350, i had become a mechanic. Now i had started repairing my Honda also. Thank you RE😏

Its just because RE TB has Air filter inside the tank and that is why it all happend because i had faced the same problem in my Himachal Ride.
I also have TBx and i have done Bhutan, Meghalaya, Darjeeling and lots of rides from last two years but i never faced any problem with my bike 😌

I am Thunderbird owner, every issues are correct, mostly in high altitudes. You have to open the fuel cap occasionally when you are traveling around hills.
Yes it's correct, i face problem of this.
In my experience, adjusting the fuel/air mixture screw helps a lot for high altitudes, about 1-1.5 turns is the ideal adjustment

I was facing similar miss-fire and stalling issues which couldn’t be solved by RE workshop. On troubleshooting, i found out that the fuel pipe has been put in the same plastic clamp which had ABS and brake wires. Due to this the fuel pipe was squeezed and fuel delivery was abrupt. I removed the fuel pipe from that clamp and the issue was solved. This issue is being faced by all TBX with ABS because the wires are put through the same clamp. Try and let me know if issue is solved.

RE workshop guys hired to to goof-up wi u n trained on ur bike n for that u have to pay them😁😂😂. Never trust on those jokers.

I aslo have Thunderbird 350 x and i also faced all same issues infact it had one more issue when you drive it in rain its back mud guard gives you mud bath 😬
I have to make my mind in January to purchase this bike. I have to take loan for this bike. But after watching this video I have totally changed my mind.

Even the excuses from service centre are same😡😡😡
i used re Thunderbird for last 5 months haven't any issue.....take good care of your bike.... sometimes I've filled tank full but no issue I've seen good luck
Please check the purge valve or air mixing valve , because I have faceed same problem in my Thunderbird 350 bsiv.
So I can't Digest 3 Problems that you faced with Thunderbird like !!! 1. I have Tb500 And I used to refill 15 to 18 ltrs before the mark starts Blinking, that means it had 2 to 5 ltrs already in Tank, 2. Paint issue, surely you drove more that 1000km in few days and in area full of mud and sand and dont you think it would be sticking under your shoes and on your saddle bags tyre side which actually scratched your painted Parts ? Why not engine or the Untouched parts lost the colour ? 3. The Headlight, TB has one of the best light in all Motorcycles i used till now. Best Focus. I also have extra Fitted LED Lights but I hardly used them and get your LED lights fixed beside Headlight above Indicators. It will keep there... Have Fun and drive Safe...
Been riding Thunderbird 350 Bs3 version in different terrain for years now and never had these kind of problems.
But i also see Thunderbird 350 X version with lots of issues.. instrument cluster falling off, steering clamps broken etc and that fuel problem because RE engineers has done a half baked job to meet the new emission norm.
Royal Enfield is a company that either you loved it or hated it because their quality control are so inconsistent. One could have a bike without issues and the other person could have a nightmare filled issues from day one.
Yes u right...I had issues in the starting but now I've learned to live with it...so all good now
All issues I am also facing, purchased 6 months back, only 5000 km driven 😥
For the rpm stabilizing issue. Try to blow compressed air via the charcoal cannister. Ans dry it in sunlight for an hour. Then assemble it in its place
So strange yaar, they charge so much and do not give proper accurate fuel meter .Not good
The stock lights are very good. I loved them. They are 55w headlights. Their spread is great.
Sir actually I'm facing the same issue in both the conditions.....in the full tank and in the reserve too.........
I also have a Thunderbird x, bro the tank is actually of 20 litres capacity.
You can't fill it up because of BS4, also, the reserve in this bike is 5.5 litres.
If the reserve is of 5.5 litres, you'll never be able to put 20 litres in the tank, do the math.
so the fuel capacity is same as Classic?
Yes i agree regarding the fuel meter issue as i have new thunderbird 350 x and it has same issue

Bhai same problem with me.... totally agree with you......RE should give some respect to customer hard earn money... maintain some quality..... recently I sold my bike ....and purchased Bajaj Dominor.....awsome sports cruiser.....no issues at all.......RE pls upgrade yourself....
In short thunderbird nei lene chahiye....all problems are major problems....and so many customers are facing.....after investing 2lakhs also never expected this from royal Enfield

There will be many more issues in future. I own TB500 since 2014.
Mine also engines stop after running 1.5 hrs.... i use to remove tank cover and start again. After one day gone to service center ... Found the pipe which pass through is pressed by seat cover... That was cleared now it is ok....

The avg mileage of my 350x is 41-42 km/ litre. The only issue i m facing is its fuel tank vibration sound. Its loud.
Paaji Hope u get solution rectified permanently. Actully i have same bike with me & facing problem on same week i purchased then go to service center & they open petrol tank & there is a pipe which tranfer petrol to engine, it had been blocked by petrol tank.
After he assemble that pipe i never face that problem again. Now its more than a year to use my TBX

Bhai i am also facing similar issue. Also mileage is not good or may be the fuel meter is wrong. Acceleration is a bull shit. While using in hill side i am not getting enough torque as in normal bullet 350.
I also wear black glares in room with lights on when i am high on weed..Nice vid though.

Very genuine review boss. I too bought a 350X. Though I did not do a leg ladakh trip, I still have the same issues. All the 5-6 issues you said are present in my bike too including the key quality. Pathetic that they don't care about this.

Fuel indication always show wrong..... But when it on reserve then i used to take fuel....
Yes digital meter doesn't work...I use mechanical knob now...and when it's reserve I fuel it up
Well, It's approx fuel tank capacity is 16.48 litres, and many riders have raised an issue for this, due to which RE stated it's a failed bike in market and then they re-launched it as meteor

Pehle 350cc bikes me simple Carburettor which is very problematic in hilly or low oxygen areas but now 350 bikes are fy models fuel injection bikes so this issue is resolved in hilly areas
None of the issues like key and paint are major for me.
If you have gone through the service manual you will come to know about the fule capacity of the tank. I never faced the issue of fuel meter so I cannot comment on it.

U nailed it bro. One more issue u gonna face and that is pollution check. Bullet seldom pass pollution check. I am tiered of this issue.

Fuel tank voice has been resolved in first service , but from disc and front shockers having issue of some noise, so waiting for 2nd service and for mileage in 500 rs petrol 270km running
Really Honest review...fuel indicator behaves irratically...infact all digital bar indicator even in cars (eon) behaves erratically... don't know the reason...i m also facing little rusting issue on silencer holder and handle balancer...fortunately no mech problems yet...2K done only

I have my Thunderbird x and I rode it in Ladakh trip, it doesn't made me angry, this is my best bike for ride satisfaction.

Im done my jaipur- manali-leh-pangong-delhi-jaipur with my tbx350 in Sept 2019 the experience was beyond my expectations it was really really good..
It's all about how u carrying ur machine
I guess every machine perform differently!
Even I travelled, Continuesly Hyderabad to Chennai, Hyderabad to Bangalore, Banglore - Chennai in two days..it was super fine and comfortable.
Sale of RE is going down.... At least now RE get into these issues and take these on serious note.... Otherwise dominar is value for money

I clocked around 15000 kms...no issues in tbx so far except vibration thats wat RE is is...you pay 2lacs you get vibrating shoulders for sure!

Main abhi 18 month se chala raha hu Jaise company vale bolte hai utni tank hai nhi wo 20 L ki nahi 17 ke aas pas hai ... lekin agar apko achitrh rakhna hai to 10 L hi rakhna pdta hai .
Aur jo air problem hai jo band girna hota hi rahta hai wo naya naya mtlb krib krib 6, 7 month tk ho hotahi hai ...Badme kbhi aisi problem nhi aayi ..

If the issue on the RPM is still on you might want to check your Battery Cells and the Battery units if that's picking the right charge.. This possibly can be a issue so please check the Battery the charger etc.. I had a similar issue on my car. And had to change the Battery and the assembly. Just a advice.

Even i was facing the same problem within 2 weeks..like the bike use to get off automatically... So what i did is i showed the bike in two different service centers and one of them was not able to find the problem but the second one told me that the pipe through which air pass was been pressed because of the seat and than that person made proper setting of wires after that till now i have not faced that problem... Hope this thing will help you all guys

use CASTROL CRUZE 15W50(company oil is MINERAL OIL.
USE HIGHER OCTANE petrol
(indian oil c.ltd .EXTRA PREMIUM)
(bharat petrolium SPEED)
(hindustan petrolium POWER)
"These are higher OCTANE petrol"..
USE "90NUMNER" Gear OIL for CHAIN...
if u use CASTROL OIL& THIS PETROL BILE WILL NOT VIBRATE...
So can't we use normal petrol in this motorcycle?
@@AbsoluteInder we can use normal petrol...but the higher OCTANE petrol is best for the engine..it reduces KNOKING...
just try it ...once...continusly use(1month) OR atleast 500 KM ..& FEEL the diffrence..

I faced many of the same issue this guy faced. Although I was more interested about the engine. In Leh they recommend to not kill the engine if you stop for 1 min. As it will be tough to restart it, atleast in Classic. Did you face it with this bike ?
Bike stalling when petrol is filled to the brim is a known issue. I faced the same and apparently it happens due to air lock. Rest of the issues are not real. You should get the fuel gauge checked.
Unfortunate that you faced these issues in new bike. Enfield bikes don't age that well and need continuous maintenance this is a known fact but you also should know some basic trouble shooting if you are doing off city trips..

Bhai, fuel indicator issue exists in my thunderbird also, same model, and after one day, we open fuel cap.. Some pressured gas comes out very fast. I don't expect this from royal enfieled

Petrol Air gap issue is very common in pulsars too
altough i have not been to mountains like laddakh...i usually rides on highway and city... its 1.5 yr old...touchwood no problem at all... just clean it on a regular base,service,chain lubing... it wont let u down... i get 37km/l on highways(avg speed 80-100) and in city it dips to 30km/l .... WILL TOUR FOR LADDAKH ON TB350X..then will se what happens to this🤣🤘

3 bars of petrol means near 8ltrs petrol...so your TBX had issue in fuel indication bcoz my bike same TBX 350X never was wrong in indication of fuel...but Bakwaas cheej yeh hai in TBX BS4 mein that gas bnjaati hai aur bike fuel tank mein aur neeche se drain out hogaya due to andar tank ke pipe khraab hone se.....means Meri Roving Red TBX 350 ka fuel tank teen baar replace hua.....final solution they converted my bike to BS3 by changing lockset which has a hole over fuel tank where we put our key inside 😀
