I will be replacing seals in the top end rocker cover (what Im calling rocker cover since it's the top half of the head). Since Im not removing the cylinder like you, I wouldn't need to remove the guide tensioner correct? Also is there anything I need to worry about as far as anything needing TDC or anything when taking off the rocker cover or reinstalling? I'm thinking not since its just the cover. I believe I just need to clean off old Hondabond replace the two seals in the rocker arm shafts (terminology? 😂). Clean surfaces, reapply hondabond. Now would I need to replace the two copper washers/seals on the oil line and also the copper washer/seal thats on one of the rocker cover bolts on the left side? This is my first time tearing an atv engine apart btw
Well they added that one that time oh, I have a 1990 Honda FourTrax 300 and I was just trying to fix my oil leak on the right side where the kick-start is and I took it apart I held in the the kick-start thing but the bottom one fell out but I put it back in correctly my friend comes over there and tells me to put it in a certain way and I trusted him but he never Twisted it and locked it in between the two tabs and so I fixed it I set the timing I set the triangle to the dot. I got the kick start facing almost directly up and when when it was messed up first I started it you can hear the thing making all kinds of noise from the kick-start so I took it apart fixed it correctly and now I have no noise I revved it up and everything was good but I have no gears no forward gears no reverse gear so no gears at all. I was wondering if there's any way you can give me advice, oh and another thing is I was mad cuz I just installed a new ignition switch. I have four colors one black one red to Pink's one with the white tracer and I believe the Reds hot the pink with a white tracers hot and the blacks a ground and I'm not sure what the other pink one is 4 and I can't remember how I had it on a toggle switch. I really hope you get this message I really need help. I just need to know why this happened how could it not have gone right what did I do wrong. P. L. E. A. S. E. H. E. L. P. M. Does it matter which way the cam is put back to gether? I see two dots on the center shaft of cam. I assumed the two dots needed to point upward. The timing is off and that is the only thing I can think of. Good video thank you.
@@MidNebraskaMotorsports I would also like to know how to check if the chain tensioner is fitted correctly if you could show that you would be a living god

How many washers goes under the acorn nuts that hold the cylinder down. Is it 2 of 4
Steve, only 1 washer under the nut is necessary. Thanks for the comment!
@@MidNebraskaMotorsports does all 4 nuts get washers was my question
