When I was small I tried everything I can to get out of Ridgewood to see the world. Now that I am old and got kids, I've tried everything I can to get back into Ridgewood (which I did). The quality of education, especially for a kid with special needs, is mind blowing to me here... The house I moved into is 5 blocks away from the street I grew up in. And both of my neighbors helped mow the lawn for the previous owner for over 6 years (given his age). They were happy I moved in since I can do the mowing myself lol. What a lovely town and neighborhood. The best in America. But it won't be cheap. I had to pay 400K over asking in a bidding war to get my house (that's like 2 Bentleys mind you...)... But it's worth every damn penny...
I can attest to Montclair..not only do I know it but also work in Montclair….It really is a beautiful city…if I could afford to I would definitely consider/recommend the move
Look, I live in New Jersey, so I appreciate any attempts at positivity but not once did you mention the cost of living in these neighborhoods. It is easy to select these places, but inform people what income bracket you need to be in so you can live there.

Morristown needed to be mentioned also!
Thank you for your comment! Morristown definitely has its own unique charm and deserves a shoutout!

I totally understand your struggle with the high cost of living! Finding the right balance between rent and transportation can be really challenging.

Thank you for your feedback, and you are correct. If we are going to paint a picture, it should be the entire picture.
