One of the best amusment rides in San Francisco! My friend was called out on a night time call to the St Francis many years ago. The chief engineer had reported that a hoistway door was opening without an elevator being there....Pretty much an impossibility....Well when he arrived he found they had barricaded off the entrance around the 14th floor....It was a stormy windy night and the adjacent elevator was down for recabling and the slack cables from the adjacent elevator were being blown by the 30+MPH winds over and grazing the door locks of the adjacent hoistway doors....YES! The doors had been opening with no elevator there!

I’ve always wanted to see talking Otis elevators. I haven’t gotten a chance to see something like this in person yet. A new resort actually has opened in the Las Vegas strip area somewhere, which does have some talking Otis elevators in the visitor parking deck. This is the new world resorts building, consisting of three hotels. Those elevators actually remind me of the ones at the Hilton that a few of you people have filmed in Florida.

It must've been kinda difficult to access these elevators, they are so cool and I've seen a few videos of this place. And that is quite a nice view of the city.

Speaking of Westins, I went to one that was on my bucket list for elevator filming not that long ago and the experience was garbage. Got stuck (less than 5 min) and every floor keycarded off. Other than my trashy Westin experience, that is definitely a cool mod.

@@cubsfan5734 yes. Taligate somebody to an upper floor. It is unlocked upstairs and don’t go below 2. It is only locked in the lobby.
When I was staying at this hotel, there was a key switch on the lobby that says floor 32. It was set to the on position but when I typed floor 32 it said access denied. What’s on floor 32?
