    You can do this way.
    Let sophomores be x
    Juniors be 3x
    And seniors be 2x
    Now the total members is given which is 42 so the sum of all of them will be
    x+3x+2x=42
    6x=42
    x=7
    Now sophomores= 7
    Juniors=3*7=21
    Seniors=2*7=14

    Soln=
    Here's the ratio 1:2:3
    So we will take ratios as variables
    Let the variables be 1x,3x and 2x
    So basically, when we will add 1x,3x and 2x so we will get 42.
    The equation for the same will be-
    1x+3x+2x=42
    Now we can simplify the equation and get value of x.
    1x+3x+2x=42
    6x=42
    x=42/6
    x=7.
    We got the value to be x.
    Basically we can find the ratio's numbers if we got how much the sum of them is.
    Now we know x=7
    We find the no. of
    Spohomores =1x = 1*7 =7
    Juniors = 3x = 3*7 = 21
    Seniors = 2x = 2*7 = 14
    So we got all the amounts.
    So if we add them, 7+21+14 we will get 42.
    So we want the no. of seniors
    That are 14
    So the correct answer is {D}14
    Hope that helps!❤

    To find out ratio you do
    1.add all the ratio numbers
    2.do the total divided by the amount
    3.the answer yo get from there so u get seven u do 7x2=14
