Hi Rachel, I don't know if you thought about it done it already. But would you please make your children's book as an audio book with kids voices to narrate? I find that kids would pay more attention into hearing peers that sound like them.

There is one problem with this system: how can you teach your kid about giving if everything comes from an effort and even your own parents don't give you anything for free. Waw this is savage capitalism
I had the same reaction but I think it's more important for your kids to see you giving to people who really need it and maybe otherwise have no way to earn money. Take your kids with you when you volunteer or donate goods, provide opportunities to give part of their time or money to others, and let them experience all three ways money can be used (spend, save, give).
For Christmas this year, we got a catalog from Samaritans purse that shows different things to donate to, ex: give a child a surgery, give a family a goat, give a baby a blanket.
I am giving my child $400 and having him cut out the pictures of what we will "buy."
